"As children are want t' do," Faolan chuckled, smiling at his daughter. She was such an attention hog where Sam was content to just stare into space and listen to everything.

Ellandra smiled even more and stepped close to Faolan, kissing each of the babies on the tops of their heads in turn, flowers weaving themselves into her hair as she did so. "They're already so very different..... and so very wonderful..." Pausing, she looked up at Faolan very seriously. "I want more."

Faolan looked up at her with wide golden eyes. "What? Now?" He made a face. "You donnae remember all them threats t' cut me balls off an' how you tried t' break me hand?"

Ellandra blinked, honestly confused. "Threats? I don't remember anything like that, Faolan - I remember it hurt, but - wasn't it worth it, to get these two little darlings here?" She asked, caressing each of the babies' heads in turn.

Ellandra sighed a little. "Well, I suppose it is still a little too soon. . ."

"All right, Faolan," Ellandra said, just the slightest of pouts on her face. "But only because you're so afraid of having three children in diapers all a the same time." So saying, she stepped away to gather a book or two more for herself while Faolan finished up.

Ellandra watched him walk away and smiled, before heading off in her own direction, gathering quite a few novels for herself - and a few for Rhian to enjoy as well.

Faolan picked up some fantasy and scifi books for Ziazan as well as some mystery novels. The Essentic was a voracious reader and Fao figured the kid would go through them rather quickly. And then probably loan them to Lauss. Which made him wonder how Lee and Rory were getting on at her parents.
He found a few westerns for himself and headed back in the direction he'd seen Ellandra scoot off to, lugging an armload of books and the twins plus their diaper bag. He couldn't be happier, actually.

By the time Ellandra noticed Faolan coming with his arms full of books, babies, and baby things, her own arms were trembling under the immense stack of books she now carried. In fact, it was immense enough that she could just barely peek over the top of it and see her husband around the cover. "Oh, are you finished, Faolan? Let's get these paid for, then. . ."

"You're already carrying so many, and the babies and their things," Ellandra said, blinking in surprise. "Isn't getting you to carry some of these. . . a bit too much to ask?"
