"Ah... Someone just came out. I think it was who Melan was waiting for..." Cody replied softly, then gave Edes a peculiar look as if Edes was the crazy one. "Wings? I didn' see Melan with wings... Had to be magic cause I don' think Melan is an angel," he replied and quickly picked Edes up so that he was taking most, if not all of the sloth spawn's weight.

"Ah, you don' look too good... Should I call my mum t' give you a ride home? Melan an' Pepper look t' be fine," he asked, biting his lip worriedly. Edes looked close to passing out and his feet... well, it wasn't pretty. If only he was strong enough to give his friend a piggy-back ride so he wouldn't have to stand or walk.

It was hard to tell if Vampy had heard Melan or not, but the fact there was now a rampaging demon on HIS territory gorging on HIS hell hounds...well...it was easy enough to ee that Vampy was going to make quick work of this.

He raised a hand, snapping forfinger and thumb together another hound was summoned clawing through the earth as it emerged. He sent it to distract the beast, probably would end up as another snack to the thing. He half turned his head to look at Melan out of the corner of his eyes.

"Next time if you bring something this dangerous...and with kids involved no less...I promise I'll stuff and then put YOU on display instead.." The words were spoke in a even tone, but the chill carried across the yard and seemed to be easily heard no matter were you were.

He then returned his attention on the aquatic like demon, if Melan was in his territorry then he would be at a disadvantage..and it would be foolish of him to try and attack him now.

The pain in his feet came in intense waves, but he didn't complain. Edes turned his gaze to Pepper and smiled.

"I weally happy Peppah is alright.." He murmured, leaning heavily against Cody. A soft, near silent sniffle escaped him, and in a shaky voice, he murmured, trying his best to disquized the pain in his voice, not wanting to do anything to make Pepper upset, or Cody mad at him.

"I want my daddy..."

Pepper looked to Cody and only nodded his head slightly, he felt the overwhelming need to protect them and so didn't voice any objections to taking Edes in his arms. He looked back to the owner of the facility and then to Melan. The spoke like they new each other....another tick against Melan.

Melan gave a bit of a grin and a little nod of his head, "Yeah, and we wouldn't want to see you as being rude now, would we?" He murmured, as though Vampy were the most kind person in the world... though he doubted there was anyone alive, or dead, foolish enough to actually believe that. He turned to watch as the lasso went flying forward to catch hold of Torekane and he gave a smile. What fun today had been he thought to himself, stretching his arms out and cross them behind his head.

"You really should see about finding someone more useful then those worthless humans when it comes to the next time you need to replace something." He told Vampy with a nod, "For all their books they seemed pretty dumb upon which legends were real and worth chasing and which just weren't possible." The latter of which being exactly what he'd captured with the help of the other three. His smile brightened as he looked up at Vampy, "I do hope you enjoy your gift, think of me when you look at him."

He gave a giggling sound as he turned and started toward his friends, one last thing to do real fast and he was heading home to get some sleep before the next game started.

Torekane seemed quite displeased by the lasso, jerking against it, then when it seemed it wasn't going to break he changed his tactic to instead rushing at Vampy, hissing as he did so. Foolish, little creature! He would crush it!

Torekane ran headlong into the sheild, grunted, then took a couple steps back as though trying to figure out what in the nine levels of Hell had just happened. He tilted his head to the side then starred a moment before lift up onto its back legs, raising up to its full 'standing' height and started to beat its clawed hands against the shield that protected the one it was wanting currently to devour.

The repeated 'bang, bang, bang' sounds were enough to make Melan smile as he looked over his shoulder for a moment. Sure Torekane had been a gift but it wasn't one that was wrapped up with a bow, naw... where was the fun? It was something that Vampy would have to wrestle with. He grinned before coming to a stop in front of the trio, "Alright, we had a deal Pepper. I will answer any one question for you about your parents. Make to quick though I have to get home." He said, giving his best smile to his 'friend'.

Melan gave a jump at the sound of Vampy yelling at him, then giggled, "Oops... times up I guess." He murmured then reached over to catch hold of Pepper's chin leaning in to whisper something against his hear in a hushed tone that nobody else would hear, "Since I am out of time how about this... Vampy only wanted you to look like your demon father, he wanted you to be... a perfect copy of what he used to be. He wasn't so lucky though, you ended up with an angelic side as well because of what happened between your father and an angel named Tagas."

He drew back and gave a grin as the air around him started to shimmer, a tell tale sign he was bailing out before Vampy got ahold of him. Just before he vanished he grinned, "You have an angelic side to you Pepper only because your father devoured Tagas body and soul, making the angel a part of him... just as its part of you. So... maybe you should watch that temper of yours, yes?" With that he was laughing and then he was gone.

After Cody had made the call, Noel, too, received a call from Shadai, and rushed to the facility, looking all over for his son.

The pendant around Edes' neck began to ring, and a breath of intense relief escaped the frantic father.

Edes had fallen asleep in Pepper's arms, pushed to the brink of exhaustion. Even through the pain in his feet, he slept, just as if he was perfectly fine.

Noel did not understand what had happened, but he knew that it was time for this to end, taking him from Pepper. Pepper.. You always seem to be rescuing my Edes.. Thank you.. He shifted Edes so that he was in one arm, and moved to hug Cody around the shoulders. Your mom is on the way, Cody..

He straightened his stance once more, taking Cody to the street side, putting Edes in the Car, and waiting until Shadai came for the other pink haired boy. Once she did arrive, he left for home, taking care of Edes until he was fully healed.
