Confused, Aki glanced down the alley where the arrow had come from. He saw no one and turned his attention back to the bandits. "These people suffer enough without you guys. I hope you are prepared to pay for making them suffer even more," Aki told them. "What!? Who do you think you are, their prince!? Well, I hate to rain on your parade, but Prince Faren is dead!" the leader yelled and charged at Aki, drawing a sword. "I do not claim to be something I'm not," Aki said calmly, even though he actually was the prince. He drew his own sword and parried the bandit's attack with ease. He easily overpowered the bandit and knocked his sword away. He moved his own sword so it was parallel with his shoulder. "Not even a challenge." "You haven't won yet," the bandit said and produced a dagger. He swung it upwards, trying to stab Aki through the heart. However, before he got it anywhere near his chest, a bolt went right between his eyes. He fell backwards, dead. (obviously. XD) James was still standing with his crossbow aimed. His finger was still rested on the trigger. The rest of the bandits, seeing their leader die, ran off.

[[Woo hoo! First post! I’m sorry, I just wanted to get my post out there before I fell too far behind. If I have any inconsistencies, it’s definitely okay to tell me to change it. I tried to read most of it, but I skimmed a lot. >.<‘’]]
The sun began to fall lower in the sky, and Gabrielle could feel the air beginning to chill. If she and her brother were going to find somewhere to stay for the night, they’d have to find it soon. She pulled her cloak tighter around her.
“We have to watch out for bandits,” her brother, Gabriel said, voicing her exact fears. “But because we’re so close to the castle right now, perhaps this won’t be an issue.” She still felt the urge to grasp her weapon.
Being only their third day without a home, paranoia was still planted firmly in her mind.
“We should stop at the next town,” Elle said, giving her brother a sideways glance. “It’s getting dark, and there’s no way we’re going to make it to Tinto tonight.” She watched as Gabriel’s eyebrows creased. He was probably going over the map in his head for the hundredth time. Tinto was at least another day away, and it was better that the stop now rather than risk being attacked under the cloak of darkness.
They reached another thief-infested town before sunset and paid with the nearly all of the little money they had. They should have thought this through more thoroughly, but they acted on Elle’s whim. As they usually did. She felt a tinge of regret for this. Her older brother of five minutes was doomed to live an existence of cleaning up after her mistakes and risking his well-being for her sake. At least this time, they were following a clue that he contributed.
There were whispers that the Faren Prince was yet alive and that he was hidden somewhere in the streets of Tinto. If he was there, they would find him.
[[Sorry if that's really long. I'm trying to make my way to Tinto...where hopefully the action will still be when I make it! >O]]

((First off, WELCOME TO THE RP!! xd Second, let me tell you where Tinto would be approximately located. It is located in the Northern part of Faren. Kai, and Bjorn are headed there right now, though not to Tinto specifically. Perhaps the two groups could meet up on the way. That would give Kai and Bjorn an excuse to investigate Tinto.))

((Everyone's coming to see Aki. O.o To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if they led Gailor right to him, with how many people will be heading to Tinto.))
The elder left the house after the bandits all ran away. "Thank you for your help," he said. "It's not over yet," Aki said suddenly. "What?" the man asked. "They aren't going to let us get away with that. They'll be back. And when they are, we'll be waiting," Aki said, indicating the dead bandit. "Even if it means staying up all night, we'll stop those bandits before they destroy Tinto," Hana said.
((^^ There. That'll keep them in Tinto for another day or two, long enough for you all to get there, anyway.))

Stefisgarden ((^^ There. That'll keep them in Tinto for another day or two, long enough for you all to get there, anyway.)) [Ah, but for suspense, wouldn't it be fun to have him leave? Then it's an unintentional manhunt. I sense some hilarity on the horizon if we all finally catch up to him, after tracking him across the continent xD]

((But I wanna hurry up and get Aki to reveal himself and, like I said before, I don't want him doing that without knowing that Bjorn and Kai are alive. He's too cautious to do that.))

((That was the old her. She's changed a bit. Juuuuust a bit. XD))
"Oh, Yue, when there's just so much nonsense, I can hardly blame you! I had a bit of a time trying to pick out a flower among weeds myself." In the two years that Pilli had reformed herself, she had picked up subtle hints from Yue, and she used them as well, this time making another compliment for the older girl.
"Aw, please? Maybe after we find the prince, we could take him there. You know, compromise." Pilli fake-pleaded.

((I couldn't tell, lol!))
"Oh Pilli, I do promise I won't spend too much time there. And if we catch that Prince I'll be breaking his knees, not taking him to a brothel."
Yue had a bad habit of destroying everything that had to do with the old prince. And a bad habit of posing as a courtisan. That last one sort of annoyed their king, but it wasn't her fault he hadn't done anything with her. Her family had taken the role of concubine for many years. So she was getting paid for it sometimes.
"But I do agree with you," Yue said, placing her knife back into her bodice and looping her arm through Pilli's. "come, we should go prepare for our journey."

((Lol Ok lets skip a bit)) Kai and Bjorn stepped into the ruined street of Tinto. Remnants of fires and burned marks could be seen on the ground. Some buildings were destroyed, sword marks and broken arrows embellished the sides. Kai kept silent as he and Bjorn walked through the streets of the village. The first town we come across in the area sure is a desolate one, Kai thought. Kai sighed, exasperated from their long and rather bland journey. At least now we might see some action, perhaps even find a lead on the "Prince," Kai thought. Kai snapped open his fan, brandishing the inscriptions and started fanning himself as he and Bjorn walked deeper into the desolate village.

Bjorn stayed silent as he observed the carnage in front of him. It looked as though this area of the city had been under siege, by quite a large force. He picked up a used arrow, snapping the haft in two with one hand and tossing it aside. It had been a cheaply made arrow, the type used by soldiers, the kind that could be mass produced, with more emphasis on the production than the quality. They were the type that would snap on occasion if they hit something solid. He followed Kai, not making a move for his weapon as they went. He had no need. Whoever had done this could be long gone. And if they weren't, he could still draw his claymore before many people had a chance to react.

"Bjorn, what are your insights on what occurred here?" Kai questioned while inspecting a burn mark on one of the walls of a dwelling. The spot was cold, meaning the attack must've happened at the very least a day ago. Picking up an arrow from the ground, Kai turned it over in his hand.
"Perhaps it was bandits," Kai remarked as he saw how shoddy the make of the arrows were. "They are said to be common around these parts; Making this a perfect place for mercenaries, such as our Prince "look-alike."
((Oh and Burn-Hazard, perhaps you would want to make your characters arrive in Tinto now))

Bjorn looked around again, then sighed before answering. "I do not know if it's bandits." he said, examining one of the corpses on the ground. He hauled it up. It was wearing basic chain mail and pants with thin greaves on his shins. On its head was a thin, cheap metal helmet. "This may have been a guard, but it doesn't look like it. He appears to have died by being stabbed in the chest here, but look. There are four stab wounds, all in a perfect line, all perfectly the same size. It looks like a pitchfork stabbed this man." he said, dropping the corpse to the ground. "I think that some soldiers attacked this city, and then the citizens fought back with whatever they could. I can guarantee you'll find the soldiers killed mostly by axes, scythes, and pitchforks, and maybe the occasional crude spear." he explained.
