Yeah, so on the way home from our festival last night, I was listeneing to m,y mp3. Apparetly I have lion king songs on there. and I came across we are oneXD Yeah. I realized it is a perfect band theme song. Everyone says band is like family right? Well, there you goXD And then when Kiara starts asking about being an individual, in band you have to learn to be together with everyone but still be yourself. Its lame, I knowXD But I was bored...

when you prefer your instument over your boyfriend/girlfriend
when you want to learn how to play flight of the bumblebee on your instrument.
when you know more about your instrument than your band director does

Our DM can play Flight of the Bumblebee. I heard it on a recording. It was amazing. I was like O.O He plays flute by the way.

(it's my fave. part in the fantasia movie)

but it's almost as amazing as a guy playing the flute
cause you really don't see that every day anymore :

when you constantly get your marching music stuck in your head and start randomly singing them at the lunch table, thus making the other few band members (who sit there as well) sing along with you.

also recognizing your marching music on the radio and turn up the volume to sing along.

this happened my freshman and junior year

- freshman year we played
---"25 or 6 to 4"
---"Does anybody really know what time it is?"
---"Saturday in the park"
---and part of "Inspiration" (*sings*~you're the meaning in my life, you're the insPARAtion!! You bring meaning to my life! you're the insPARAtion! I wanna have ya near me! I wanna have ya near me BABEH! No one needs you more than I neeeeeEEED YOOOOOOU!~)
(- is still looking for at least one video from that year -)

- Junior year we played songs from the "Blues brothers"

---and i don't remember this one

guilty, carry a spare reed in my pocket a lot. I've had to start to cause I usually always need a spare reed

That was so much fun! Except I would rather it had been the old band room. I miss the old middle school!

You know your a band geek when you get rained out at the football game and your stuck inside the smelly, moldy choir room with the rest of the band so each section sings their part to the songs you were going to play anyways to pass the time. ((TRUE STORY!!!!! HAPPENED FRIDAY NIGHT!!!!!))

I do that so much! Once I had to sit outside for thirty minutes waiting for the bd to get to the school. It was for the last concert band had last year.
