“Ohh…” Maelle said. She hadn’t eaten much on her travels, and now that she thought about it, she had built up an appetite. Was she really going to be forced to seduce a dinner out of Estas? Oh, she was in quite the pinch. Just a moment ago she had been frowning upon a woman for accepting a date, and now she was going to have to bend her morals to get a meal. And not to mention that woman’s affairs had not been her business, yet she had chose to pry.

Suddenly, She felt self-conscious and took off to her dorm. “Good bye!” she called back to Armand as she ran. She kept up the pace all the way to her dorm, only stopping to catch her breath once she was in her dorm.

She quickly undressed and went to the back of her closest, wherein lied her skimpiest skirt. It was a simple black high waisted pencil skirt that reached midway between her thigh and knee. Honestly, it wasn’t too immodest, but she hadn’t worn something like it since her early travels.

She chose a pair of black pointed flats, decorated with blue jewels, sheer white tights that ended just above her knees, and a white blouse to wear with the skirt. The blouse had poufy elbow-length sleeves that were gathered at the end. The bodice was tight with a Chinese collar, and buttoned up. She wore it with the top few buttons un-done to reveal some cleavage, which made her feel unclean.

She let down her hair, which fell into large ringlets, and added a hairpin that matched the blue stone on her shoes. After adding the final touches, she left and headed back to the conference room to get some dinner.

ISAAC armine Out of everything you could have done...
Surely, there is some logical solution... - Isaac, Estas, Aria, Lise, Armand, Maelle, and apparently others.

Isaac's brow shot up at the sound of Armand's voice in his head. He wasn't a fan, though he had no idea how Armand had managed it. Perhaps he somehow planted a microphone or something.

He looked at Lise again, "Ms. Lise, did you just experience something odd?" Isaac asked. The grip on his cane tightened a little. If what the Armand in his head said was true, then Isaac would either be kissing up to Estas a little, or robbing him blind. It wouldn't be the first time Isaac did something like that.

(Sorry it's shortish...)

And so, after the conclusion of the exchange between himself and Aria, Estas grinned and headed off to his dorm to prepare and then go to the kitchen. Of course, what he didn't know was the idea that Armand had planted in everyone else's head, and that Armand was planning on forcing everyone to the lake for some sort of incident.

Maelle was too busy planning out her outfit to notice Armand, and she was startled when Armand spoke. So startled, that she forget to be mad at him, and instead she was just puzzled. “But what about the dinner? And are they going on a date? So soon? And where?” she asked, not considering that she was asking too many questions.

How inappropriate it was to date so loosely! And to do it so publicly, much less to let it reach your superior, was unacceptable. She almost felt obligated to ruin, just to teach them a lesson.

But as it turned out, she spotted him on the way back. It occurred to her that perhaps Armand intended for her to approach him at the lake, but she wanted to secure her dinner now. Plus, if the dinner was canceled, other people were bound to be counting on Estas as well. So the way she saw it, the sooner the better.

She took a deep breath made her way over to him. “Hello!” she said as she approached him, “Do you have a moment?”

Lise thought she heard Armand's voice inside her head. Why Estas?!! And even if the voice couldn't convince her it was Armand, what he said did. She frowned and head Isaac's question.

"Yes, if you mean that little voice in my head." Estas was going on a date. Estas was the only means for dinner. Therefore, Lise had to do something about the date part of the dinner or make it a group date.

Now that Estas had left the room, Lise sighed. "What does he expect us to do? Steal the food? Actually... does Estas even know how to cook?"

Meanwhile, Armand was headed back to his office. If anyone needed to talk to him, he would be there.

Estas was formulating his night's agenda and venue when he was interrupted by a female voice. "Hmm?" What he saw was unexpected. Just who was this beauty? The lady seemed as if she were dressed up for some sort of occasion, and lo and behold, she was matched in blue.

...was this one of Armand's random traps? He didn't remember seeing the lady at the meeting earlier. Obviously, with Maelle's hair let down and enough difference, led Estas to think that the lady in front of him was a different person. Besides, he had already secured a date with Lady Aria. He couldn't do another one tonight, or could he? ...It couldn't include dinner though.

"Well, sure, Lady--- I must apologize. I do not believe we have met," he stated.

Once out of sight down the hall from the conference room, Aria headed in the general direction of her dorm room. But once she was sure she was nowhere near anyone else, the demon used a nearby shadow to transport herself the rest of the way to her room. It was a familiar sensation: shadow travel. At least for her and the other members of her family it was. That thought about her abilities and it leading to thoughts of her family almost made Aria shudder as she stepped through a shadow by the door to her room.

She shoved thoughts of home from her mind so she could better concentrate. She had to figure out a way to get out of this situation with Estas. It was just not good idea to take a private dinner with him. The other teachers had probably already taken it to mean that they were dating. Which would be seen as quite shameless of her to do so. However, Aria knew this was not the case and that all the other professors and even Armand were wrong. Besides, Aria really had no interest in dating anyone at this point in time. She may not ever do so. But that was entirely up to chance and her decision should it come up.

But right now, Aria had no intentions of dating Estas, or anyone else among the faculty. The only question now was: how was she going to explain that to everyone else?

He didn’t seem to remember her, but Maelle didn’t mind. She just wanted her dinner. “Well, actually that’s why I wanted to talk to you. We haven’t met personally yet. I’m Maelle, the doctor.” she said holding out her hand for Estas to take, “I hope we can get to know each other well.” She wasn't quite sure how one was supposed to seduce a man, but she reasoned that flattery and emphasizing she was open was enough. She was pretty, after all

"Maelle?"Oh, hmm... it couldn't possibly be Maybelle, could it? She was the doctor. Or did I happen to butcher her name as well? ... I seem to be lacking name recognition today. Unforgivable. "Ah, well, I am Estas, the literature teacher. He kissed her hand as was custom in the lands he came from. "Nice to meet you as well."

What was this? A woman approaching him readily? That didn't happen to often. Was this competition? "If you don't mind me asking, where are you headed dressed so beautifully?"

He didn’t seem to remember her, but Maelle didn’t mind. She just wanted her dinner. “Well, actually that’s why I wanted to talk to you. We haven’t met personally yet. I’m Maelle, the doctor.” she said holding out her hand for Estas to take, “I hope we can get to know each other well.”

“Yes, I know my name is not exactly common, but it’s something I can’t change.” Maelle said with the most fetching smile she could manage. It was clear he didn’t remember her introduction at all. “I love to read, especially classic romance novels. The drama and the passion…” That was probably the most truthful thing she’d be saying all day.

“I was getting all dressed up for the dinner tonight, but I just found out it was canceled. I’m not sure what I’m going to do now.” she said, letting a note of glumness slip into her voice, “Do you have any idea what you’ll be doing for a meal?” The trap was set, and now all Estas needed to do was take the bait.

((Last poll on the Upper Floors...))

Ironically, Estas wasn't fanatically devoted to romance novels. However, he did spin off some of his own ideas from them... sometimes, whether that was good or bad. That was for himself and the world to judge, though really it simply came down to whether it worked or not.

"Oh, dear, that is quite a dilemma. But you seem to be a bit early in dressing up for the dinner...." Estas blinked. Armand had given them some time to unpack, and he was sure the kitchens hadn't even started preparing food yet. "Well, there's the kitchen. They always have food." Oh, dear me. I couldn't do two dinner dates at once... that wouldn't work.

And then the light bulb lit! "Well, there could be some snacks in the kitchen. Why don't we go grab some?" Estas offered. Snack time with girl number two and dinner with girl number one. It was going to have to work.

“Well, I couldn’t really stay in that ruined rag of a dress.” Maelle said smoothly, “It had been so lovely, and so expensive…” For a moment she silently stared off into the distance, but then she was back, just in time to listen to his… genius logic. Of course there was food in the kitchen!

And while a snack was okay for now, she really needed to secure a dinner. Maybe if she managed to stick around until dinnertime, he would have no choice but to feed her. “A snack sounds good. Do you know the way to the kitchen.”

((I need a subscribe to this thread button... it gets a bit annoying when that title won't show up... Apparently the roleplay is pranking itself.

Edit: Ok, lurkers, I know you're there. Vote.

Edit 2: Or else Armand will prank you.))

Yes, he remembered that dress. Apparently, Maelle hadn't fared so well in the academy grounds. Estas sighed. "Condolences on your dress, Maelle. This school seems to bring out the worst in people and objects... and I believe the fault must lie with Headmaster Armand."

When Maelle asked about the kitchen, he nodded. "Of course! Shall we go?" He extended a hand to her. One of the few advantages of being at the School slightly longer than everyone else was that he knew where all the basic necessities were. Unfortunately, that didn't mean he could predict everything.

He doesn’t even seem genuine about my dress. Maelle thought to herself. But she had no right to judge; she was using him for a meal, after all. “Well, I intend to get my revenge sooner or later.” she said, letting a devious smile creep onto her face. Taking Estas’ hand she said, “Let’s go.”

Even though she had no chance of ever explaining herself to any of the other faculty, Aria knew she might as well attempt something. However, she instantly shot down the idea once she realized that the first person she had to tell about this was Armand. Sighing, the demon knew that once something was in Armand's mind as a prank, there was no chance of ever talking him out of going through with it. She hardly knew any of the other faculty enough to trust them, so all of them were out in terms of confiding in them.

Going over to the window, Aria looked outside at the growing darkness. It had been dark outside before, but now it was even more dark than before. While staring out through the glass at the darkened landscape.
