Unbeknown to Kilik, Mitsu was not actually asleep when he bent down to give her a light kiss on her forehead. And if he'd lingered for a moment or two he would notice that a slight rosy tone rose in her cheeks. She couldn't quite fall asleep, and she could even hear Kilik's and Cable's voice outside. Training no doubt. It was no wonder he was so strong, he was constantly training, unlike herself. Mitsu shook her head slightly, her eyes still closed. She didn't really want to sleep.
The music from the gala was floating over and she could hear it quite clearly. The orchestra had picked up their instruments once more, and began to create a symphony of sounds that were so soothing to listen to. She hummed along, following the melody in her mind. The woosh of the Pokemon Center's doors abruptly interrupting the song. She fell silent as she felt the couch sink as Kilik and his newly born Treecko laid back down, presumably to sleep. She could hear his shallow breathing.
It was weird. How they'd suddenly become so close. They'd known each other for a while now, she'd seen him when he was tangled with the Rockets and Giovanni, she'd seen him when was was head over heels for the blue haired Nina, and she was there at the Five Island event. They'd never been particularly close then, just two people who had the same friends. And yet in the past few days they'd been hospitalized together, held hands, danced together, and even shared a kiss. She could swear there was something more than friendship going on, but a part of her was a bit afraid. It's going to be like Mike all over, she thought, I'm going to realize I like him, never tell him, and end up getting passed over for some girl with obnoxiously large red hair.
She swung her legs over the side on the couch, her bag dropping to the floor. Items clattering noisily on the hard floor creating a commotion that she'd wish she hadn't. She hastily shoved everything back into her bag and set it on the ground near the sofa. She glanced over to Kilik hoping she hadn't woken him or his new Treecko.

Tyra followed suit and got behind Miharu with Hunter at her side. She reached back and clutched her two pokeballs. She was thankful Jiro was staying inside for a change. He must be worn out from the fight, he struggled through that...guess that’s what he gets for starting it Tyra thought to herself. She watched as another trainer placed their pokeballs in place as they walked away from the line. Moving forward a bit she then knelt down to Hunter.
“Atta girl way to behave...We’ll head out after this” Tyra said as she scratched the houndour’s ears. Hunter enjoying the attention allowed her tongue to fall out at the side and leaned into Tyra’s hands.
Patience wasn’t one of Tyra’s qualities she just wanted to hit the road and get away from this area she was already annoyed with it. She had come to the conclusion she wasn’t going to do the errand that she was sent on. Figured she was in a bigger area might as well see some of the other places.

"Alright Cable! Keep it up!" Kilik cheered, jumping into the air. The crowd of people in the stadium were cheering so loud, it could probably be heard all over the world. A camera got right up in his face and Kilik smiled into it. "The Sinnoh League is mine!" he laughed, looking over at Mike's Napalm. Both their Pokemon had come so far. The Electabuzz and Magmar dashed at each other and white light enveloped both of them, and they grew larger and larger, evolving before the eyes of every person in the stadium. Kilik couldn't believe it.
And rightly he shouldn't have, because he woke up to the sound of things clattering all over the floor. "I knew that Cable evolving again was too good to be true," he said partly to himself, but loud enough for anyone to hear. He sat up on his elbows and yawned, looking around to see what caused it. Joy wasn't behind the counter, and the only other person in the room was Mitsu. He looked over his shoulder and saw her placing her bag near the couch. "Couldn't sleep?" he asked, picking Treecko up. The gecko was still fast asleep, as Kilik set her down on the couch, wrapped up in the blanket he was using. He sat down next to the Pokemon, petting her softly as she slept.
"Sure scared the hell out of me, that's for sure," he laughed, looking at Mitsu. Though Treecko sure slept through it like nothing. He stood up and stretched. "Since we're both up..." he said, crossing his arms over his chest. He tapped his foot trying to think of something they could do. It was very quiet in Lilycove, and he could hear the music coming from the Gala. He held his hand out to her just like he had done back at the Contest Hall, "May I have this dance?" he smiled.

"Not really," she replied, "I was feeling really tired earlier but now not so much." She didn't quite know why either, she just didn't. Maybe it was the thoughts that were floating in her head or maybe it was the music. No, nah, not the music, it was faint and calming. "Sorry," she laughed, "seems like I've been doing that a lot tonight, huh?" There was the two times at the gala when she'd snuck up on him. Though she really hadn't meant to the second time.
"Of course," she replied taking his hand. She placed her own around his neck. After a split second of thought, she moved her hand to his shoulder, or as close as she could get to it. The height difference was making it a bit difficult and she wasn't in any heels this time. They danced in tune to the gala music which was softly wafting into the Pokemon Center. It almost sounded better in here, it was more soft and airy. Kilik was leading the dance this time and she closed her eyes as he spun her with his right hand, enjoying the dance and the music all over again.
Once she's returned to facing him she looked into his pale gray eyes. Idly, in the back of her mind, she thought that they were beautiful. I don't know if we're just friend or if there's something more. And I don't want to be wrong, but still. . .she thought as they swayed to the music. The song was growing softer as it was nearing the end. And it was then she decided to do it. Closing her eyes, Mitsu stood up on her toes, still quite a ways off of Kilik's height, and softly brushed her lips against his.

Kilik felt rather awkward taking lead this time. He wasn't very light on his feet, and he was much taller than she was. The extreme height difference is what really bothered him. It was times like this that he wished he weren't so tall. The music filled his mind and a smile appeared on his face as he danced with her. He suddenly caught her eyes looking into his. Maybe it was the light in the room, but her eyes seemed quite dark, yet he couldn't help but stare. The music stopped and the room was totally silent besides their breathing. The boy's chest was heaving - maybe dancing took more out of him than he thought, or perhaps it was because his heart was beating so fast that he had to breath harder to supply blood. Regardless of what it was, everything seemed to stop when he felt her lips lightly touch his.
He knew what it was she was going for. She couldn't exactly kiss him because of the height. He leaned forward a little bit, his hand running up through her hair, holding the back of her head. Kilik pushed his lips back against hers in response, deepening their kiss. Holding her close against him, the boy's heart pounded harder and harder, almost breaking through his ribcage. He slowly pulled away from her, still holding her body against his. The world started to spin around again, and the music slowly began to pick up once more.
A thousand thoughts were running through his mind when he broke the kiss, but the most prominent was Do it again. He leaned forward and just gave her a slow kiss, but pulled away as not to keep himself there. So does...I guess this... he thought, but he suddenly realized he was stammering this out. "So does...I guess this..." he looked down at her, raising an eyebrow. He hoped she knew what he was getting at.

Her feet sank back down onto the floor as he leaned in. She didn't have to stand on her toes anymore and that was something she was glad of, though it was one of the farthest thoughts occupying the back of her mind. Her heart began to beat faster, pounding almost painfully loudly. It wasn't anything like the small kiss he'd given her today before they parted. It was. . . she thought. . .better. She could feel that he'd pulled in her close as he gently held the back of her head, his hands weaving through her deep purple hair. She moved her lips accordingly, though she wasn't quite sure how or why she was doing it. It was just happening and it was nice. No, more than nice, but she couldn't think of the proper word nor did she care to at the moment.
Thoughts flooded her head as he pulled away and she couldn't pick one from the other, each equally loud and prominent in her mind. She couldn't even tell that the music had began to start again. Her mind was wiped clean as he leaned in for a second kiss, something she had definitely not expected. But she didn't mind, in fact, it was just the opposite. He was still holding her in his arms when the kiss broke and this time she couldn't help but stare into his eyes, as cliched as it was.
"Yes. . .Well . . . I think. . ." was all she could manage to get out before averting her eyes to the floor that was so conveniently placed under them. She could feel her cheeks heating up from the blush that probably was painted all over her face now. She was vaguely aware that she hadn't quite answered his half question, but it was all that she could manage to say, the thoughts in her head swarming. Just say it! You're going to regret it if you don't! Obnoxious red hair! Do it! Just say. . . "I like you, Kilik."

Train smiled as she watched the Rattata shiver. Striking fear into the hearts of his opponents already! She thought, amused. Train glanced at the Growlithe, who wagged his tail as Callum spoke. She wondered if the Growlithe knew that he was legitimatly battling for her, and that he was going to be traveling with her from now on.
She snapped from her thoughts as she heard Callum order another attack from his Ratata, and hastily called out, "Ah, Growlithe, try to dodge it!" But the Puppy Pokèmon was too busy trying to follow the Rattata and let out a yelp as the purple mouse hit him, tipping over. The Puppy Pokèmon scrambled to his feet, though he was weakened quite a bit since the attack had been critical. He was panting a bit heavily and Train hoped he could still last. "Ember again!"
Growlithe let out a little bark. He was tired! Nonetheless, he opened his mouth to shoot the small flames at the Rattata.

A couple of girls nearby giggled and exchanged glances when Crenu issued his command, though the girl that had noticed him initially nodded. "Sure thing, follow me," she said, motioning to the young Bulbasaur at her side to follow after her, which it did, a singing happy chorus of "bulba-bulba-bulba-saaaur' with each step. She lead the would-be challenger through the jungle-like maze of trees, flowers and vines, and of course, Grass-type Pokemon. They finally arrived in a somewhat secluded area, though beyond that one could easily see the arena - a grassy battlefield, white-lines painted on to mark the boundaries. "I'm sorry to interrupt, Lady Erika, but a challenger has arrived," she said, giving a slight bow as she approached the Gym Leader.
Erika was seated on a intricately carved wooden bench, seemingly lost in meditation. She wore a deep-green kimono decorated with pink cherry blossoms and embroidered vines, and though simple in design it did look quite elegant. Her shoulder-length black hair was held back from her eyes with a matching headband, and when the trainer approached her she nodded, keeping her eyes closed. "Thank you, Victoria," she said, her voice very calm and quiet, almost too quiet to hear. "You may return to your training." Victoria nodded and bowed again before she and her Bulbasaur took their leave.
It wasn't until then that Erika finally opened her eyes, doing a quick once over of her challenger. She stood up, and bowed politely before Crenu. "Greetings, trainer," she said, offering a polite smile. "My name is Erkia and I am the leader of the Celadon City gym. As you can see, we specialize in the training of Grass-type Pokemon here." She paused, taking a moment to look around her gym and enjoy the sunlight that beamed down through the many, many skylights adorning the ceiling. "My, it is a wonderful day for battling, don't you think?" she asked, before turning and leading the way to the arena just behind them, and without hesitation she took her position at one end of the field. "The best of luck to you, dear challenger," she called out.
Meanwhile, many of the girls had gathered around the sidelines, whispering excitedly to each other. One older girl climbed atop the pedestal in the middle of the room, the apparent referee. "This is an official Pokemon League Gym Battle between the gym leader, Erika, and the challenger, Crenu," she announced in a loud voice that didn't seem to belong to her. "This will be a single-style, three on three match, with no time limit. Also, neither trainer is allowed to switch Pokemon. Begin!"
Erika was quick to choose her first Pokemon, carefully withdrawing the Pokeball from the fold in her obi. "I think to start, I shall go with Tangela," she said, letting the sphere fly. Her Tangela appeared on the field in a flash of light, the vines covering its body shaking with each step it took. "Ready when you are," Erika called, her calm and gentle nature seemingly fading with each passing moment.
=-=-=-=-= There really wasn't much Jaeshan could do now that Nurse Joy had taken Squirtle into the treatment room, and he looked around wearily, fully feeling the extent of his own exhaustion beginning to settle in. He thanked Blaziken and recalled her, as well as Butterfree who'd been perched on the arm of the couch nearby. Sighing heavily he stood up and ran a hand through his matted hair, frowning a little when he realized it felt kind of... odd. "Salt water," he sighed before he grabbed his things and shuffled slowly towards the shower area. He grabbed a clean towel and threw the rest of his stuff in the locker with the rest, not bothering to fully lock it before he headed into the shower. He started the water off cool before gradually warming it up so as not to send his body into shock, though once a normal warmth had returned to his body he sighed happily, already feeling much better as the aching tension in his muscles began to ease up. Once he was finished there he dried himself off, and put on a clean pair of boxers, cut-off jeans and a white t-shirt and this time after stuffing all his things haphazardly into his backpack he headed out to the main lobby.
The ER light was still on as he glanced around the area, still feeling a bit drained from all the swimming he'd done. He wandered over to the vending machines and got himself a sandwich and a chocolate milk, though both were nearly finished by the time he sat back down again. Only about ten minutes would pass before a light tone chimed throughout the center and the taunting ER light dimmed, and a moment or so later Nurse Joy came through the door. When she saw that Jaeshan was looking at her she flashed him a weak smile but nodded. He jumped up, practically stumbling over his own feet as he ran over to hear what she had to say about the Squirtle's condition. "My previous assumptions were correct," she informed him, glancing over her shoulder at the treatment room door. "For the most part he's suffering from sheer exhaustion and malnourishment. That poor little fellow's only a baby; I don't know how he ended up in the water all alone like that. He's lucky you got to him in time," she added, placing a hand on Jaeshan's shoulder. Though she'd chided him earlier, Jaeshan could see that she was incredibly happy that he'd rescued the tiny Squirtle.
"A baby?" Jaeshan repeated. Now that he thought about it the Squirtle had been quite small, smaller than any Squirtle he'd ever seen. "He must have went overboard from a ship or got separated from his family or something," he mused. "Though it does make me wonder. If Squirtle's a Water-type Pokemon why was he having such a hard time in the water?" he asked.
Joy smiled. "Yes, Squirtle is a Water-type Pokemon, but it cannot survive indefinitely underwater. Though they can hold their breath for quite some time, they need air as much as you, or I, or even your Blaziken and Butterfree. Not only that, but I don't imagine he's had a lot of time to practice swimming, and there's no way to tell for sure just how long he was lost at sea for."
Jaeshan nodded, feeling a little stupid for asking. "Yeah, of course, that makes sense," he said, sighing. "So is he going to be okay?"
"Yes, I expect him to be fully recovered by tomorrow morning. Would you like to see him?"

Sam awoke at the slight commotion. She'd never been a heavy sleeper. She opened her eyes a bit to see what had happened. Oh it was Monocle Boy and Purple-hair. She felt pressure on her feet, and realized Star and Miles were laying there. Her thoughts were hazy, still half asleep. She tried to go back to sleep, but it was impossible. Instead, she watched the couple dance a bit, surpressing a giggle. She did allow herself to smile lazily. It was really sweet. When they kissed, she shut her eyes, as if to give them some privacy. When Purple-hair told Monocle Boy that she liked him, Sam almost blushed, feeling as if she were intruding. She felt embarassed, though she wasn't quite sure why. She kicked Star and Miles lightly, not enough to cause so much movement. She hoped she still good at faking sleep as she had been when she was little. Star shifted a bit, growling in her sleep. Sam rolled over, and fell back asleep, though her dreams were not pleasant ones.
'Smothering...inky darkness...What's going on...Am I swimming? Am I drowning? I can't see a thing! I can't breathe! Why am I not moving? Which way is up?!' Sam sank towards the bottom. She suddenly remembered. 'This is where Star saves me.' But there was no baby Mudkip. No little blue mud fish came to save her. She started flailing around, but she was suddenly wrapped in chains. As she neared the seafloor, she saw skeletons. Human skeletons, pokemon skeletons...
Sam awoke with a start, nearly screaming out loud. She sat up, sweating a bit. She shivered. She looked at the pager's timer under her blanket. Not much time had passed, so she tried to fall back asleep. As she lay there, she recalled her nightmare. Anxiety welled up, and she clenched her teeth tightly. She held back sobs and let few tears roll down her cheeks. She felt the pressure of Star, Miles, and the egg on her feet. She relaxed a bit. She felt Miles shift a bit, and he crawled up next to her. He curled into a ball next to her chest, and fell back asleep. 'Well whaddya now? He has a heart' she thought, and promptly fell asleep, to exhausted to care anymore

Riza shivered as she walked back towards the pokecenter, though after she'd been walking for a couple of minutes she began to get used to the cool night air. 'You tend to get used to the cold in Blackthorne,' she thought, smiling. Though the cold wasn't bothering her anymore she couldn't help but wish she'd thought to ask Keegan or someone else to escort her back to the pokecenter. 'But then again I have my Pokemon, I shouldn't worry so much.' With that she took Sneasel's poke ball from her purse and released her companion. Sneasel appeared in a flash of light and she looked pleased to be outside at night, and Riza thought she saw the Pokemon's eyes glowing a bit in the dark. "Keep me company?" she asked, and Sneasel nodded. Riza smiled, thinking back to some of the conversations she'd had with people earlier in the night. Everyone seemed to have given their Pokemon names. Everyone but her, that is, and Riza soon realized that the thought had never even occurred to her. 'What if my Pokemon want names?' she thought, wondering if they felt bad or inferior to the others because they didn't have them. She glanced down at Sneasel as they walked, but didn't say anything. "We got a new team member tonight," she said finally. That, of course, caught Sneasel's attention and she looked at Riza with wide, curious eyes. "You can see when we get back to the center," she said. 'After all even I haven't met this little guy yet.' She smiled at the thought of the cute little Cyndaquil that was (probably) contained within one of the spheres in her purse, and she kept walking, only now just wanting to get out of her heels.
The duo made it back relatively quickly and without hesitation Riza went straight to her room, quickly stripping out of her dress and placing it back carefully on the hanger. 'This was not how I expected the evening to turn out,' she thought, frowning as she smoothed out the wrinkles in the soft, silky skirt before she carefully fit the protective garment bag over top, making a note to have her dress, shoes and matching purse sent back home tomorrow morning - carrying it around with her everywhere would only ruin it. Sneasel watched her trainer's actions curiously, wondering why she was caring so much about a silly old dress. Once Riza'd changed into her nightgown she flopped down on the bed, looking at the other three Pokeballs that she'd left on top of the quilt. She let Kirlia out of her ball next and after a moment or so of hesitation she also let Corphish out, though the crab appeared to be quite sleepy and inattentive. Lastly she took up the final sphere in her hands and studied it, sighing softly before she clicked it open, releasing the Pokemon it held. Within a few seconds a small tan and dark-blue figure took shape, it's squinty eyes peering around it in utter fascination at the human and three other Pokemon surrounding it. "Quill?" it asked, though it appeared to be unafraid. A few wisps of smoke puffed up out of the pores in it's back, but other than that it did nothing but wait. * * * * * "A draw?" Katie asked, unable to believe that the luxio had fainted at the same time as Genki had. "I guess that's acceptable," she mumbled, though it was more than that. Losing wouldn't have bothered her as much as having Lilah follow her around, though she had to admit that she did like Lilah's battle-spirit, as well as her fashion sense. "That was a good battle," she said, approaching Lilah though trying to avoid eye contact. "All the Pokemon were quite impressive, we should probably head back to the pokecenter and get them healed." She frowned at herself when she said 'we'. It more or less just invited Lilah to tag along, though Katie figured she'd probably be heading there anyway. She adjusted the egg pouch, checking the black-spotted egg again almost compulsively before she turned and headed back for the center, stopping to look back over her shoulder at Lilah. "You coming with?" she asked, twirling the ends of one of her long, orange ponytails in her fingers.

Kilik's heart stopped beating for a moment and then resumed, beating wildly in his chest. He was hoping for her to say that, and when she did, he suddenly couldn't speak. He didn't want to hurt her. Part of the reason he left Nina was because he didn't want Giovanni to target her to get to him. What if he did the same to Mitsu? But he couldn't say no, he couldn't break her heart. Deep down, Kilik knew that he wanted her. He really wanted her to be his. "I like you, too," he said, kissing her forehead. The boy sat down, holding her hand. He somewhat pulled her back down with him, and he scooted over to allow her to sit as well.
"But you have to know that Team Rocket still seems to have an obsession with me," he said, "and they could come after me at any moment. Are you okay with that?" Kilik looked over at the baby Treecko for a moment, making sure she was still asleep. At such a vulnerable moment in her life, he didn't want Treecko to be hurt by Team Rocket, either. That's two girls I'll have to look out for, he thought with a smile. He turned his attention back to Mitsu. "We should probably get some sleep, huh? Big day tomorrow."

A slow smile crept onto her face as he spoke those three words. I like you. She'd been afraid that it wouldn't have turned out this way. But she was glad that it had, very glad. A slight blush crept back onto her cheeks as he lightly placed a kiss on her forehead and she wondered if she'd ever get use to it. She took a seat next to him, her hand still interlocked with his. Her heart was still pounding loudly against her ribs.
Though, at the words "Team Rocket" Mitsu stiffened a bit, her lips taut. Images began to rush through her mind, flashing almost too fast to be seen, though each one stood out crystal clear in her memory. The black helicopter with the red 'R,' the burning building near the forest, the bright lab lights, the black Rocket uniform, and lastly Giovanni's words from yesterday. He'd told her that she couldn't depend on anyone that there was no one she could trust.
She realized she'd begun to breathe a bit hard as the memories of her past flooded her mind again. She swiftly cast them away, her eyes staring intently on the floor the whole time. She'd wanted to say, "You're not the only one with a history with the Rockets." But she didn't, she couldn't. Mentally shaking her head she loosened up and looked at him with a smile, "That's okay."
And now that Kilik had mentioned it sleep actually sounded pretty good. She didn't know what time it was anymore, but it was probably quite early in the morning. "Sleep sounds good," Mitsu replied. She yawn loudly then tried to stifle it without much success. Her eyes began to close unwillingly and within moments she was asleep her head knocking lightly against Kilik's shoulder.

Just as Hera had safely landed back near her trainer she was hit head on by a bright beam of light coming from the Misdreavus. Blinking a few times she looked around the area as it started to wave around like one of those trippy drug movies. OK this was defiantly weird. She thought as she did her best to stop the vertigo swaying this way and that way.
"Confuse Ray eh? Well that is a good move." Was all Dante said as he watched Hera stumble around. "Hera us the ground to help stable you."
The ground? What about the ground? Was the ghost in the ground?! Growling slightly Hera swung her mighty horn around and smashed it hard into the ground digging up a few small pits with every strike.
~~~~~~~
The road between Cerulean City and Saffron city was very short and the trio made it down the road pretty fast now that there were no more distractions. Ok so that wasn't quite true, Robin and Luffy had to stop Black*Star once from 'asulting' another trainer with stories of how he was the best. Still over all the journey had been a short one. As they walked through the gates of the city though Robin had a feeling that things were gunna get a lot harder, especially with Black*Star and Luffy out and about.
"Ok guys we need to head over to the pokemon Center for just a moment. Then we can start heading down to catch the last ferry from Vermilion." Well that seemed simple enough except that during Robin's little statement Black*Star had gotten on top of a dumpster and had started proclaiming something. Apparently he was upset because the entire city wasn't paying attention to him.
"Urg! Black*Star come on. You can convince the boat that her are the best thing since sliced bread but right now we gotta get going." Looking down at Luffy she noticed that he wasn't at her side either. "What? Luffy?" The Ambipom hadn't gone far though he had just joined Black*Star on the dumpster much to Black*Stars disappointment. Only he could be on the dumpster!
Sighing Robin went over and grabbed the two, holding Luffy by one of his tails and with Black*Star tucked underneath one of her arms she dragged them both off towards the pokemon center with her. Stepping through the sliding glass doors she made her way to the computer that sat in the corner. Sitting herself down on the chair she looked down at the two before frowning slightly. "You two are gunna get into trouble aren't you. Hmm..." She looked around until she found a sharpie that was just laying there and quickly held it out to the two. "Here take this and have fun but be quiet about it, some people are probably sleeping." With that she turned and started to make the preparations to send Slowpoke to her parents home for some nice rest and relaxation.
Good, Leon thought. It worked. It seemed like it was a rather good confusion, too. This meant they'd just upped their chances of winning by a lot. Muuma watched the bug-type carefully, this time preparing herself in case she needed to dodge--no way she was gonna let that thing hit her again.
"Alright Muuma, follow up with a Psywave," Leon commanded. The attack had done well for them in the wild, so it should be just a helpful in a trainer battle. Muuma faced Hera and sent the multi-coloured rings at the Heracross, which would hopefully hit now that the Pokèmon was confused and disoriented.
"Oh, you are just the cutest little thing!" Riza cried, scooping up the little Cyndaquil in her arms and cuddling it. The Cyndaquil let out a surprised squeak and struggled against Riza's hold, but only for a few seconds before it nuzzled against its new trainer. Giggling Riza set the young Cyndaquil back down on the bed, and now it seemed to be much more comfortable. Sneasel crouched down to get a good look at their newest team member. The little fire mouse smelled kind of smoky and it was somewhat off-putting for the ice-type, but she couldn't help but like the Cyndaquil. Corphish only watched the new addition with sleepy eyes, but Riza swore that if the crab had a discernible mouth then she'd be smiling. Kirlia, who was sitting cross-legged on the bed next to Sneasel watched the young Pokemon with a wide smile. It didn't take too long for the Pokemon all to get acquainted with the Cyndaquil, and Riza watched them happily, amazed at how big her family had grown already. 'To think that just a few weeks ago I didn't think I'd ever have a Pokemon of my own,' she thought, though she was still wondering about giving her Pokemon names. Currently the Cyndaquil was chasing after Kirlia in a game of tag, though Kirlia was cheating by using teleport at the last minute. Cyndaquil didn't seem to mind too much though because she seemed to be really adept at guessing where Kirlia would teleport to. 'I wonder what's up with that,' Riza thought, getting her pokedex out of her bag in order to scan her new Cyndaquil. 'Oh that is interesting,' she thought, reading through the stats that were brought up on screen. "Cyndaquil is a girl, and it seems she knows a special move called foresight, which cancels out an opponent's ability to raise it's evasion. That would make sense as to why Cyndaquil always knew where you were going, Kirlia," Riza explained, without looking up from her reading. "Foresight also allows a pokemon using it to hit ghost-types with normal-type moves! That's awesome!" She clipped it closed and went back to watching the Pokemon play. 'Keegan's parents really are amazing breeders,' she thought.
"Sneasel," Riza asked a little while later, looking towards her Pokemon with a serious expression. "Has it ever bothered you that I didn't give you a name?" Sneasel looked up at Riza and shrugged. In truth, it really hadn't, though the thought of being called by a name other than her own species would be pretty cool. "Maybe I should think of some names for you guys," Riza said, though it was mostly to herself. Seeing the troubled look on her trainer's face made Sneasel sigh and she stood up and rested a clawed hand gently on her trainer's shoulder for reassurance. Riza smiled faintly, but continued to think. It was amazing how many different names popped into her mind when she decided to think about it, and she quickly realized she'd have to focus on each of her Pokemon separately.
Sneasel had long since joined the game of tag between Kirlia and Cyndaquil by the time Riza had made up her mind, and she clapped her hands to get the Pokemons' attention. "Okay guys, I think I got this name thing all figured out, but if you don't like the name I picked then be sure to speak up and let me know, okay?" Each of her Pokemon, including Corphish who seemed to be unnaturally curious about this, lined up, all looking pretty interested about what names their trainer had chosen for them.
