((*grummlegrummle* Read, they say. :O It's eassssyyy. And then it's over when I finish. *smushes aki's face* I'm leaving this here anyway, so's Mik's THERE, atleast.))
Raife pushed through the front doors to the headquarters, a chill of wind whooshing past her into the darkened room. At her pant leg clung the little muse, who seemed entirely unsure about why they were going to a party of night-dwellers or something, since the only light came from candles and crackling fire. Raife paused confusedly in the hallway herself, blinking a bit, and reaching down to pat Mikhael's hair, as much for herself as for the boy, to make sure he was there.
"What the heck is going on here?" She squinted, trying to make out faces and people in the dark. She thought she could make out a few...familiar faces. It was hard to say. Mik seemed to be having similar trouble, as he didn't run to Levi, or wave or anything he might have done in a more lighted situation. He just clung tighter, and buried his head under the corner of her jacket.

As Mist peered at the dark room, she decided that she was thoroughly confused. The letter that dictated where she was to go had strangly burned up, and upon arrival she had to stumble around in an attempt to catch up with the others. She had tried using the small flashlight connected to her keychain when she had first entered, but it flickered and Mist was once again greeted by darkness. Darn batteries.
The room was dark and cold, but she could hear gentle echos coming through a particularly dark spot, revealing the others to be somewhere ahead. As she stepped forth, her foot shifted as if something was under it, her body stiffening in reaction. Kneeling, her pale hand glided across the floor, running into a strange thing that fluttered against her touch. Picking it up, Mist held it up against the nearly non-existant light. A feather? She hadn't heard any birds around, though... She gave a small shrug to herself, then put the feather in the small pouch she kept around her waist. Perhaps she would have a chance to examine what it looked like later.
Her fingers glazed over the rocky walls, then paused at the darker area. The wall was more grainy here, as if covered by dust or soot. The echoes sounded closer, however, and she stepped forward into the opening. Small, faint lights seemed to glow in the distance, making Mist blink a few times as if to check that it wasn't some strange flicker of imagination. Mist took a deep breath, the cold, stale air not exactly giving a welcoming greeting.
The strange cavern grew mildly brighter, and she realized that candles were in the distance. She paused at the entrance to the opening. Were those tables? Mist tilted her head, as if to look at them from a different angle, and upon finding them to look quite the same, she decided that they were indeed tables. It was a strange contrast to the low hanging and high rising piers of rocks, and the candles were an oddity in themselves. Perhaps someone set the candles up earlier? But then who would want to take the trouble and lug tables through in the dark? It could have been set up for their arrival, or perhaps they were just there from a long time ago. Mist sighed, wondering if she was perhaps trying to over-analyze it.
Her eyes swept up, just now realizing how many others were there. It was a strange assortment of.. beings. She thought that she may recognized a few from afar, though she already knew that all of them were strangers to her. This would be a bit uncomfortable, now that she thought about it. Mist looked about, her arms unconsciously folding in front of her chest. Perhaps it would be best to wait and see if the others knew what they were supposed to be doing. She certainly didn't.

Dani nearly bumps into the young woman that entered the cavernous room before her. The darkness, though somewhat less oppressive due to the dim candles, still obscures much of what lies ahead. "Forgive me," she chirps, moving around Mist to stand at her side. "What is this place? Do you have any idea?"
She blinks cautiously, staring at the strange scene ahead. "...well, this is certainly...interesting."

Mist jumped as a woman came near her, the hair on the back of her neck rising to the occasion. "O-Oh, no, I'm sorry. Standing at the entrance probably isn't the best of places." She smiled nervously, "I'm not really sure what this place is... Interesting is a good word."
Why did she come here again? Following a strange note wasn't perhaps the wisest of choices that she had ever made. Curiosity got the best of her, and curiosity did kill the cat afterall. Then again, satisfaction brought it back.
"I'm Mist by the way. Nice to meet you." She offered a pale hand out to the woman, glad to know that she wasn't the only confused one. Which probably wasn't a good thing, now that she thought about it. If no one knew what they were doing, then who was leading them about?

(( *peers* ))
Kimiko peered back into the entrance and shivered. Were the others really going to go through there? Ah well. Might as well follow the crowd for once. She picked up Mayu and ran after the ones who had already left, footsteps echoing loudly behind her.
A bit taken by surprise at Kimi's impulsive move, Mayu quickly grabbed her pillow as she was hoisted off and into the darkness. Hey, a free ride's a free ride. She clapped merrily (though I really have no idea how, as she was holding a pillow) and gurgled to show her delight.
Stopping to a halt as she reached the cavernous room, she scanned the surroundings with a sweep of her eyes. Tables, candles, tombstones, white glowy things . . . She blinked once or twice before the sudden realization of the, well, strangeness hit her like a brick wall. BAM! "I think I need to sit down now . . ." She muttered, and plopped down on the floor once again.

"Nice to meet you, Mist," D-chan chuckles, taking the proffered hand. "I'm Dani. Call me D-chan, if it's easier. Shall we move a bit so we're not blocking the way?"
Taking her own advice, the half-fox pads a few steps away to stand near the wall, green-gold eyes scanning the impressive cavern. "At least I'm not the only one lost...maybe someone else knows? Or maybe something will tell us...events seem to be happening of their own accord by now."
As the werewolf enters the fray, she drags her attention away from the room to casually inspect the newcomer. "Hey, there!" she calls. "You as lost as we are?"

An ear flicked as a few words rang clearly from the buzz of everyone else. Breaking the awed gaze she had over the cavern, Azumi blinked and looked around until she spotted the caller. A smile of some relief came to her lips as she made her way over to the pair. One wolf ear flicked forward while the other rotated to the right. āIām pretty sure I am. You two got self burning letters as well?ā she asked after seeing black soot all over one of her own hands. A mental note was made to not wipe that hand on her clothes even though she was almost sure that that tunnel had made her a little dirty.

"Yep," the half-fox chuckles, clapping her black-furred hands. A cloud of soot puffs out from between her slightly parted fingers. "Odd, isn't it? By the way, I'm Dani. Good to meet you...?" The half-question hangs in the air for a moment as she waits for the werewolf's name, politely offering one ash-covered hand but only half-expecting a handshake.

Mist nodded, "Yeah, good idea." She side-stepped around the entrance, standing off to Dani's side. "From the looks of it, not many others knows what's going on either. I suppose we wait? Or start randomly kicking the walls to see if anything pops up." She blinked, staring at the walls as if suddenly expecting something to actually pop up. "Feels like a graveyard, kind of.." Mist shrugged, then looked over at the new woman that appeared.
"Burning letters? Yup. I guess everyone here got that..." She looked back over at D-Chan as she introduced herself, then back to the other young woman.

"Azumi. It's very nice to meet both of you," she took the black furred hand in her own soot covered one and shook it. It was nice to make friend's with someone in this whole mysterious shindig. A wine red eye glanced at the other woman, who hadn't stated her name, and a chuckle escaped her lips from the comment, "I'm pretty sure I'd jump five feet and cause everyone to go deaf if something sprung from the walls." The werewolf let go of Dani's hand before letting eyes wander the walls...Just to make sure.

Once D-chan and Azumi shook hands, Mist offered her own, "Nice to meet you too, Azumi. I'm Mist." She chuckled at Azumi's words, a mental illustration of the wolf clinging to the ceiling rising up in her mind.
((agonizingly small post >.< But I have to get ready to go too. *sigh* Alas, holiday season *nods head solemnly* *waves*))
