ozzie clambored up the cliff after annabel. he wanted to keep up as much as he could - the closer they were, the more positive energy they could share. "steggy's my best friend in the whole world. he's my stuffed stegosaurus. i've had him since i was just a baby 'n he's gone everywhere with me i've ever been in the whole world! 'n i accidentally dropped him when we had to jump into that horrible lake on my very first day on this island 'n he's out there all alone 'n some of the other beavers are gonna help me find him." he explaind as he scaled the cliff wall.

Zoë was definitely not a fan of physical challenges, but she knew when she signed up for the Camp that she would have to endeavor a few hardships along the way.
If only she'd known how insane those hardships were going to be!
Taking a deep breath, she hunkered down and started to climb under the wires. Careful not to get her hair caught, she pressed as close to the ground as she could as she wiggled her way under the wiring.

Ah, so it was a stuffed animal! Unfortunately, it seemed, there hadn't been heads or tails of Steggy- something she hoped to fix in upcoming days, if she had anything to say about it. Chris had known where Ratchet's tools were- maybe he'd know where the dinosaur had gotten off to? Topping off the cliff with a relieved sigh, she sat a moment, waiting for Ozzie to match pace with her. They were doing well this round, again- for a fourth run, this wasn't bad at all! Not wanting to jinx it, though, she quickly hopped up when Ozzie hit the top, casting a wary glance to the swing.
"Gotta be careful here- I've gone down on this one a couple of times, and I don't fancy meeting those Gators again. Sorry, they're just not the kind of green guy I like to associate with!" Laughing at this, then, she took off, enthusiasm back in her step- running for the rope, she latched on, taking a hearty swing across the river.
"C'mon! Only a few more rounds to go, Ozzie!"

Phew, that was a close one!
Zoë struggled up to her feet and approached the next obstacle awaiting her. Her eyes darted back and forth between the mattress and the cliff... was she going to be able to climb that... thing? And if not, was that mattress sturdy enough to catch her fall?
Gulping, Zoë shook her head. No, she couldn't stop and think about it, she need to just get it over with, or at least try.
Grabbing onto the cliff, she started shimmying her way up the wall. It was now or never!

ozzie didn't want to jinx it, but he was amazed at how good his luck had been on this challenge so far. only a few misses in the 2 and a half times he ran the course! he gulped as he approached the gator pond. "ye-yeah. the gators grabbed my tail last time. hope i can manage to keep it up!" he remembered to grab higher on the rope this time, and again wrapped it around one paw to kep himself from sliding down or losing grip. he simultaneously jumped up and out, swinging over the gators towards the far shore.

She'd almost missed that last ledge, but had managed to scurry her way up and over the cliff's top. Holy crap, that had been way too close for comfort!
Standing up, Zoë approached the third obstacle....and almost fainted.
Gators again?! Her poor rump and arms were still suffering from that last nasty encounter, and staring at their waiting, drooling jaws sent a shiver down her spine.
She clutched onto the rope, however, determined that she was going to give it her best shot. She'd made it this far... and well, there was no going back.

She'd made it!
Breathing a sigh of relief, Zoë only had moments to congratulate herself on dodging the hungry gators, as opposed to the last fateful encounter. Up ahead lay a very rickety log.... and what in the HELL were those things being launched at the other campers? Were those... were those seagulls?!
Letting out a small whimper, she cautiously climbed up the log. She debated on making a run for it, but decided that slow and steady should win this race.
Keeping an eye on those flinging 'gulls, Zoë slowly began to make her way across the log.

Alright, so she was excited- whooping in glee as they both crossed the river without a flaw, Annabel once more did her victory dance. It was cheesy, poorly done, and looked like something a wannabe-surfer would do, but hey- who was judging! Giving Ozzie a high-five when he caught up, she turned her attention to the bridge of death once more. Talk about a bad Monty Python sketch blown to life- damn it, she KNEW her quest and favorite color! It shouldn't have been so easy for her to fall off!
"Now or never, Ozzie! Let's rock!" She cheered, taking off at full speed for the log once more. This time, she was going to give her DAMN hardest not to let those Seagulls get her down!

Gahhhhh!
Zoë screeched as she went tumbling down into the ball pit, an angry seagull now lodged in her hair. She managed to wrestle it free with only minor scalp injuries, and slowly climbed up back up and made her way to the log. No, she refused to give up. She'd done the other obstacles, she was GOING to go over that log!
Taking a final deep breath, Zoë lunged forward and began to race across the log. Would speed assist her to the other side, this time?
Edit: She made it!
Zoë happily bounced up and down, clapping her hands excitedly as she ignored the throbbing headache thanks to the seagull's pecking. She made it! She'd maaaade it!

ozzie watched in amusement as annabel did her dance. he wasn't quite as extroverted in his excitement, but he did manage to return her high five. he managed to catch her paw at the very end and give it a tiny squeeze.
he watched as his new friend crossed before he did, and made it to the other side on her first attempt. "con-congrats belbel, good job!" he wasn't quite ready to go in an all-out run over the thing, but he did speed up his rear-end scootching.

...Holy s**t, a perfect run! Dropping to her knees, and giving a very victorious YES!!!, Annabel fistpumped the air a few times, DAMN proud of the fact that she'd made it. One bad run- HAH! Ozzie'd gotten her through this time without so much as a scratch! Holy hell, they made one heck of a team! God, she'd have to get Simon to meet this kid- the boy was just precious, and had a good heart, on top of that. Definitely the kind of guy she liked to be around.
He'd done so well with keeping pace with her, Annabel almost hadn't realized Ozzie had gone down- whisking around in her jog, she frowned slightly as he went in, wincing in sympathetic pain. Scrambling to the edge of the pit, she leaned in, sympathetic and worried for her friend.
"Hey, hey, no worries~! You'll get it next time, without a doubt! You can do it, kid! Believe in me, who believes in you~!"
...or something inspirational like that.

"oomph!" ozzie grunted as a seagull smacked him in the side of the head and sent him flopping into the ball pitt. well, at least it wasn't on his snout this time! he climbed out and decided that maybe he'd try annabel's strategy this time. he backed up, then jogged up to the log, jumped on and scurried across as quickly as he could.

Ouch! Down again! Looking away when she realized he was going down, Annabel was starting to realize how difficult it was to watch a friend fall to this thing- and she'd gone down... ten? Eleven times? Some ungodly number like that. At the very least, she had reason to break now, looking at it optimistically- cupping her hands once more, she rooted enthusiastically.
"C'mon, Ozzie, that's the spirit! We're beavers! No stupid bird gun's going to bring US down!"

After munching down his rations, Nigel watched as the campers before him began to make their way through the course. He wasn’t overly fazed by the Chef’s boot camp type challenge, but he knew he wasn’t the fittest person here or indeed the most muscular, so it was going to be a workout for his scrawny body that’s for sure. He still hadn’t managed to make himself less antisocial with his team yet either, so there was no way he was going to let them down by not completing the course as best he could.
Dropping to the ground, Nigel slowly began to inch his way through the mud. Oh if only his mother could see him now! She’d have a heart attack and probably throw soap at him in a desperate attempt to get him clean! The idea of his mum fainting in horror made him chuckle slightly and made the whole situation seem much less demoralizing… well, at least for now…

whammo! ozzie hit the ball pit again. normally he'd start tearing up in this type of situation, but having annabel cheer him on definitely helped. he sniffed a little, then climbed out to try crossing the log again. he rubbed the sore spots where the seagulls had made contact. was this what annabel felt all over?
"th-thanks belbel. you're right, it helps having someone to cheer you on." he climbed onto the log and once again attempted to cross to safety.
