Leena glanced to the librarian's assistant since she never quite got his name, glancing back and then to the shadow that she sensed approaching. "Yeah, thats a good plan." She was running forward, Vadasz uttering a shriek as he flew along side her, the spirit going off to attack the other man. "Don't know your name, but no time to talk. You are going to have to come with us!" She said as she came up to him, sheathing one sword to give his arm a tug, glancing to Ri as she appeared. "Kai, i think we may need that ride." She said, another spirit activating to her whistle, telling the guards to investigate the bodies and that they would be fine. Talia, take over for me while we're gone.

Kai looked to Ri, watching the dragon's form shift to where she was a full-sized chinese dragon. Within a moment Kai was on her dragon, grabbing Dais and pulling him up too as Ri flew past. She then leaned over to hold her hand for Leena, her other hand holding onto Ri's neck. She was still perfectly calm, never seeming to hurry throughout it all.

It was about five hours before dawn when Gwen slid from the tree, going to Amaya's side. "Amaya." she murmured, touching a hand to her friend's shoulder to wake her.

Leena took the hand quickly, jumping up so she managed to get onto Ri as well. "Thanks Kai and Ri." She then held out a hand for Vadasz who suddenly flew overhead, his claws digging into her wrist though she didn't seem bothered. She then tucked him into the front of her robes, giving him a look. "Don't get any idea's." She muttered, tying a loose ribbon from her sword around the wounds he had left. "Lets just get away for now, we'll decide on a spot later." She said back to Kai, her mask not muffling her voice surprisingly. She then looked at Dais, "You alright?" She called back, realizing she may be pulling him away from his life, but at the moment, they needed to get away.

Kai laughed at what Leena muttered at Vadasz, able to hear despite Leena being behind her. She leaned lower against Ri, silently communicating with the dragon. As soon as Leena was seated Ri had risen higher, flying in the weaving roller-coaster motion. It was just how she flew when in this current wingless form. Ri just headed away, going towards the border of Mereth and Aduial. It would be the safer direction and place to land, at any rate.

Amaya shot up immediately, her eyes darting around. Once she remembered where she was, she yawned, rubbing her eyes. "Is it morning?" She asked, beginning to get up.

"If you define 'morning' as your turn to watch and mine to sleep, then yes. We've got about five hours until dawn, if you want to leave before then then tell me and wake me up a bit before you wanna leave." Gwen said, feeling only slightly guilty about waking Amaya. But, a want to sleep was overriding any other guilt she might feel.

"Oh...right." She said, still trying to wake up. "I'll start watch then." Amaya murmured getting up and leaning against the trunk of a nearby tree.

Aldon twitched his whiskers and made a "meep" noise. He was once again in Kai's arms. He was sure Dais would think it was ironic that Kai had saved him again.

As Dais was contemplating what sort of explanation to give, he saw Leena and Kai jump out of the window. Leena was apparently stronger than she looked as her tug moved him toward the dragon that had appeared. Kai then helped him on. This is the kingdom of magicians, Dais reminded himself.

Aldon reached out a paw toward Dais, who sighed. The assistant nodded at Leena's question. Things had escalated in a way he had hoped they would not. "I was trying to find the ferret," he simply stated with another sigh. There was much more behind the words.

The assistant had never been on a dragon before though, so he did manage to look around a little to see what it was like. "Not quite the library view," he mumbled.

Leena kept glancing behind them, glad to see the spirit continuing to help. "Te aari vapauttaa kas noin. Kiittää te ajaksi sinun auttaa , lepuuttaa kotona järjestys." She said softly under her breath, tying her long silvery white hair back. "I'm sorry for tugging you along, but you seemed to be at my palace for a purpose besides finding your ferret. The fact you arrived around when the shadow did pique's my interest you could say. Would you care to explain?" She asked, knowing at this point that he wasn't simply a librarians assistant. At least, something in her gut told her otherwise, but sometimes gut instincts could be wrong.

Kai didn't appear to be listening, instead watching where Ri was going and seeming to relax where she was sitting. But she was listening closely, making note of everything.

"Alright then. See you in the morning..." Gwen mumbled, hiding a yawn and settling down beside Tyri. She rolled over in her cloak, using it as a blanket and her arm as a sleeping back. A moment later she was asleep, having had enough practice at sleeping when she wanted to to be able to calm her mind quicky enough and allow her tiredness to take over.

But it was actually the reason. Dais had sensed Aldon in danger and as his companion and friend, the assistant had to find him and get him away from the shadows. "I sensed he was in trouble, and I thank you for pulling him out of danger's way... which I'm assuming are the shadows you speak off." The former spy was bluntly honest.

How much could he say? This was more speaking than he usually did. Basically, he had sent Aldon to follow the shadow while he had been distracted by the mess in the library the shadows had caused. The ferret had gotten himself into trouble while trailing the lone shadow when the other shadows caught up. And then the Mereth officials must have intervened and then dragged him onto the dragon.

Leena tilted her head a little and blushed a bit, realizing she had sounded paranoid again. And well... sort of like an a**. "Yeah, that would be it. It wasn't any trouble." She paused and bit her lower lip though it wasn't like he could see since she had her mask up. "Sorry if I sound, well frankly, like an a**. I've kinda grown to be slightly paranoid... I'm Leena. And the bird here is Vadasz." She knew she was inconveniencing him and so might as well try to be friendly since it was unknown how long it would be before they would go back.

"Leena, where do you want Ri to land? We can be at the border of Aduial in ten minutes, or I can have her go elsewhere." Kai asked, twisting around to face them both. Once again, she started acting sane when it was more important.

Dais did want to know where they were headed, as long as it wasn't closer to Gannel as this point. "Dais," he said, giving his first name. He greeted the bird with a nod. A bit awkward, but typical of Dais's behavior.

The former demon spy wanted to keep a low profile, but sooner or later, he was going to have to decide whether to stay on the run or just join the revolution. Altarion was not going to allow him to run free.

The librarian was going to have a fit that Dais was taking a long break, at since the appearance of the shadows, Dais was less concerned with the librarian than with the current occurrences.

Leena nodded to his name, though she was quickly distracted by Kai's question, glancing down towards the border while thinking as fast as she could. "Land by Tarha. It's the village closest to the border but still a good 20 miles into Mereth." She answered, pointing to the town that she meant, knowing they could be hidden there easily. And it would allow her time to do what she had been planning to which was checking on the outer villages.

Hearing the crying again coming from her robes, she pulled out the vial with the childs spirit inside. Popping it open, she whispered a few things in that old language before the spirit swirled around her and vanished. Recorking the bottle, she placed it back in the pouch with others, hoping he didn't mind necromancers. She knew it didn't bother Kai at all.
