Keri's stomach growled in the calm of the forest. She sighed, deciding that she'd actually treat herself in town while the sun was up. She weighed her small enchanted coin purse that she had kept with her. It was getting lighter, but some poison sold to a someone who would have use to it might weigh it more. Her mind made up, she strolled slowly towards the town.

People started to stare at her as soon as she set foot in public. She knew that this would happen, so why was she doing this again? Because she needed supplies. Consciously, she pulled her hood farther down her face, trying to make as if the color of her skin was just shadow.

-As I finish my drink I go outside and see people stareing at a girl- *sigh* "I better not regret this. Hey guys stop stareing. Just because she's different doesn't give you a right to stare at her like she's an alien." -I lean against the wall of the bar and take out my red shades and toss them to the girl- "Here. These should help with your problems with the sun. Just remember to return them next you see me."

Keri caught the object that the stranger tossed to her. She looked at them strangely, seeing only a normal pair of shades. But as soon as she put them on, the sun's light became dimmer. Are they enchanted? she wondered. A gracious gift from one stranger to another, but she couldn't accept them. "I'm sorry, and I thank you for the offer, but I cannot accept this." She started to hand them back. "It's a personal burden I must bear."
