(Another peaceful day ends in Inaba, and the Investigation Team continues to mend in preparation for the next mission. But it is also important to take care not to let yourself be overwhelmed by your responsibilities, and with the meeting of the Investigation Team, that important lesson did not go without notice.
...
Still, the culprits in the murders are still at large, and there are many unanswered questions. Who are Hetero, Raiden, and their group? Why do they wish to stop the team's journeys into the TV? And just what type of power do they hold that make them so much stronger than the team members inside the television? New questions compound the old, and the mystery thickens. Only together can the team shine the light of truth on the mysteries...but can they do it in time?

School continues, and with the arrival of a new security officer, Yasogami High School seems a little bit safer. But for how long?) Tuesday Morning... April 24, 2012. It is a foggy Tuesday, and school continues for the students of Yasogami High School. The air around town is still heavy with grief, but a few peaceful days have gone a long way towards starting the renewal of their spirits.
But their spirits hang by threads. How much more can the town take before the final thread snaps? That is the question on the minds of the Investigation Team...and together, they must decide what gambits they are willing to risk in order to put an end to things once and for all.
And to do that, they will have to be ready for their next mission...

The day progressed with no major incidents, however amongst the citizens of Inaba, something has begun to move. People, things, and most importantly, hearts continue to shift and change, reacting to the world around them...both the good and the bad. All has been quiet since the incident with Hetero inside the TV, but for how much longer can the peace last? And when the peace is inevitably broken, what will it mean for the people of Inaba?
...It is getting late. Will the Midnight Channel come on again, tonight?

The following recap is written in a first-person, real-time account by Soji Seta [feel free to recount your own experiences in your own posts, at your homes]! [4/24] Midnight Channel [12:00 A.M.] There was something on the television! At first the screen had appeared a milky sort of black, like the shadows in the night under a dimly moonlit sky...a creamy mist the only thing clear...the last visible remnants of the rolling fog. And it was the fog that gave away the location of tonight's show...the Residential District of Inaba!
Slowly, the image moved forward, fog rolling by as it drew closer to a pale gray image growing in the distance...a wall, it revealed itself to be, as the image paused in front of it. Suddenly, the screen went black for a split second...then came back on for a split second, and then off again...a pattern it repeated, as if a reel of film with every other slide missing. In one moment there was just the wall...and then the next, a gate. A flash again, and a young man, blond revealed himself at the gate with a curious expression...a flash, and then an expression of terror. And then another flash...and red.
For a few seconds straight the continued flashes of black and red, black and blond, black and white continued, and amidst the flashing images the screams of a young man echoed through the night...until finally, after another single flash, the screams died down for good and the images became still again. Silence filled the air, and the fog rolled on...until at last, a man with orange hair near the shoulders and pale, blood-splotched skin slowly walked across screen...taking a single glance at the camera with luminescent green eyes that were empty...and yet bore straight into the soul of the viewer.
It would take the members of the Investigation Team no more than that split second to recognize the man as Hetero.
Continuing to walk across the screen, he stepped over the corpse now littering the ground, and went off the screen, muttering something nearly unintelligible. Only syllables...single words or phrases audible as the image began to fade. "Doesn't matter..." ... "All dead..." ... "Time has..." ... "the end is..." ... "Protected you..." ... "Yuu..."
And then, in an instant, the images were gone altogether...

(A peaceful day in Inaba ends with tragedy yet again; this time, Senior delinquent Chris Yuki was the victim of an attack after appearing on the Midnight Channel with Hetero. The cause of death in this case was unknown, compounding the mysteries surrounding the recent murders. Days go on and on without any sign of an end to the nightmarish happenings in the small community. Is all this heartache and tragedy leading up to something much greater? Something even more tragic?
...
Hetero and Raiden continue to move about unchecked and at-large, and the authorities, without the means or the knowledge of the TV World, can only act on the scant clues left behind...a painfully inadequate bit of evidence which only leaves them scratching their heads. The Investigation Team, the only group with the means to combat them, can't seem to catch up to everything that's going on around them. And the weight continues to grow, pressing decidedly on the shoulders of their leader...but just how much can one person carry before they inevitably break? Surely, even Soji Seta has his limits...

The bad seed has been planted...and more bad happens daily. Can the Investigation Team finally catch a break in their search? Days go on, and the body count rises. Soon, it seems, the die will be cast...) Wednesday Morning... April 25, 2012. It is a rainy Wednesday, and a memorial service for the departed Chris Yuki was held in the auditorium of Yasogami High. Though few are personally stricken by his departure, there are those who feel an intense fear at the idea of another student dying...and some, who feel responsible for all the bad that has happened. The memorial service comes and goes, and nobody seems to know what to say...and the second half of the school day is declared optional, in respect for the students who are grieving the loss of a friend.
Something foul festers in Inaba, and a nameless fear begins to grip the residents of the small town. As if sensing that things will soon become much clearer...and much more terrifying...the town has quieted down, in desperate need of a lifting of spirits. Yet there are few laughs and smiles to be found amongst the average citizen, and only those with the strength to move forward seem to be getting on as they should. And a bad seed begins to grow in Inaba's brightest garden...
What are all these tragedies leading up to? What could be the endgame behind every terrible incident between then and now...?
It is now the Afternoon, after Chris's Memorial Service...

Tragedy has rocked Inaba, the likes of which the town has never seen. Ambushed by the dark trio of Raiden, Hetero, and Kazuma, many citizens were wounded, killed, and/or watched as their homes burned, loved ones were wounded. Terror has gripped the town in its icy fingers, and a number of the less fortunate families in the town who survived have taken the trains out of the area and gone elsewhere to escape the nightmare.
In response to the destruction, the police have created temporary shelters until those who have been displaced by the fires can find new homes or be put up elsewhere. Locations for the shelters include the Amagi Inn, the Yasoinaba Station [where outside visitors to the town have been temporarily suspended], and the Inaba Hospital.
The town holds its collective breath as the Midnight Hour approaches. There will be a special newscast at 11:30 p.m. to sum up the damages and provide instruction for those trying to sort out their next move amidst the confusion.
All citizens are encouraged to tune in, and televisions all across the city, including inside the shelters, are universally broadcasting the Special Report.

~::SPECIAL REPORT!!! Tragedy in Inaba Update!!!::~
The following is a Special News Report brought to you in conjunction by the Inaba Police Department, Channel 11 Inaba News, and the Kirijo Corporation. Tonight, we will recap the horrific events which have rocked our small community, provide some insight into the extent of the damages, and sort out much of the fallout in the wake of the terror wrought by three mysterious men...right here, in our homes. [4/25] Channel 11 News Special Report: Inaba in Crisis! [11:30 P.M.]
Good evening. We begin our Special Report by extending our condolences to everyone who was injured, whose loved ones were injured, or whose families were displaced in the chaos that rocked our city.
However, for those who are not fully aware of what has happened tonight, here is a recap of what has taken place so far. This afternoon at the Caesar's Gym complex owned by Japanese #1 Ranked Boxer Akihiko Sanada, a fighting tournament was being held for the ceremonial title of 'Defender of Inaba'. However, during the final bout between local students Chie Satonaka and Kazuma Koroko, the gym was shocked by an unprecedented act of terror. A local student who entered the Tournament, entered under the name 'Yukimura Itoshiki', attacked Ms. Satonaka in the middle of the contest with a sword and severely injured her.
In the chaos that followed, Mr. Itoshiki, Mr. Koroko, and a third young man whose name we have not yet ascertained, attacked several members of the crowd, injuring many and leaving some unaccounted for. The attackers also were said to have blown up a portion of the wall with what are speculated to have been highly-specialized explosives, before eventually taking their acts of terror into our streets. And, in what was clearly perhaps the most destructive act of premeditated terror in the history of our nation, the trio set fire to several homes and locations throughout the town, killing many of the families trapped within and wounding many others.
Later in the evening, at the regional penitentiary located not far beyond the outskirts of the city, there was a minor prison escape in which three inmates were released from their cells. These prisoners include Mr. Tohru Adachi, who was implicated in last year's multiple-murder case...Mr. Taro Namatame, who was charged with several instances of kidnapping related to the same case...and Mr. Mitsuo Kubo, a young man who was charged with murder and lying to the authorities and obstructing justice after killing local educator Mr. Kinshiro Morooka last summer and then claiming responsibility for the murders committed by former Detective Adachi.
Recently, we have also learned that the third, unnamed man in today's incidents has also been linked to the breakout, along with a fourth person...a young woman whose identity has not yet been ascertained, either.
All three of the current fugitives, and the four perpetrators in tonight's acts of terror, are considered to be armed and dangerous, and citizens are urged to be careful at all times.

The death toll for tonight's incidents is estimated to be roughly between 35 and 40 dead. Confirmed deaths thus far include local residents -- Koroko and ---Koroko, parents of the aforementioned Kazuma Koroko and daughter Minori Koroko...several members of the Okamoto Household whom have not yet been identified...Mr. Yuri Iemura, a local businessman...and many other unconfirmed victims.
In addition to the deaths, several citizens were left in serious and/or critical condition at Inaba General Hospital, including the following:

Faustus Necromonium [Stable condition]
Kaoru Akasaka [Stable condition]
Kijin Riderage [Stable condition]
Mirei Sanada [Stable condition]

Detective Ryotaro Dojima [Critical condition]
Shikari Hibiki [Serious condition]
Ren Haruko [Stable condition]
Soji Seta [Critical condition]
amongst many others.
Several others have gone missing in the midst of the chaos...the most prominent of whom include local boxing star and detective Akihiko Sanada. Some of the others include:
Yuuki Haruko
Minori Koroko
and many others.
And that's the casualty report for tonight's incidents as it stands at the moment, although the numbers and lists are changing by the minute as local rescue squads douse the fires and sort out much of the chaos. We're going to take a short break in our Special Report now, and in a few moments, we'll be back with a special message from the Inaba Police Department for families and students displaced by the destruction and fires rampaging through our town. Don't go anywhere...

And we're back. Now, as promised, a message from our local police department, which has been working round-the-clock in order to restore order to Inaba, and to put out the fires, reunite families, and protect the citizens in the wake of terror.

The Inaba Police Department would like to issue this statement: In the effort to house families which have seen their homes destroyed by this tragic event, the Kirijo Corporation, the Amagi Inn, and the local government have arranged for the following displaced families to take up temporary residence at the following locations...
Amagi Inn: Leonardo Mori, Misha Mori, Riika Arakawa, and Mikael Hendrassen.
Kirijo Group Dormitory Complex: Hikaru Okamoto, Megumi Okamoto, Miyuki Arakawa, Haseo Yamagada, Shikari Hibiki, Ren Haruko
In addition, any families which wish to leave the town will receive free passage on the train out of town...and until further notice, travel into the town of Inaba for non-residents through the Yasoinaba Station and the roads will not be permitted.
Please be careful and aware of the dangers of these dark time, and know that we are doing as much as we can in order to bring these criminals to justice. We are inspired by, and acknowledge officially, the courage of Detective Ryotaro Dojima, whose efforts and whose nephew's efforts lead directly to the cessation of hostilities on the part of one of the three attackers. With his example to guide us, we will overcome this tragedy and restore Inaba to its rightful order!

[4/26] Midnight Channel [12:00 A.M.]  There was something on the television! Though after the events of the day the Investigation Team couldn't say that this was unexpected, it was strange in that like the first time Raiden had appeared, Hetero was facing the camera and speaking into it directly. His expression was empty, and there was no sign of the other members of his team...save a dark-haired girl forced to stand in back quietly as he talked directly to those that he knew were listening. What was left of them, anyway. "You should have listened to our warnings," the empty voice spoke evenly into the television, no hint of contempt in his voice...only resolution, a promise, a fact in every phrase and every word he spoke, "now that you know just how serious we are...and just how powerless you are to stop us...it's time...for the beginning of the end." There was an unnatural fog at the back of the pale-skinned man that began to clear out to reveal what was behind them. It was obviously inside the shadow world, as evidenced by the fog, but strangely enough what stood behind them wasn't a twisted, warped thing...it was a school gate. And in various positions by, against, or on top of the gate were five very different-looking people, all of them with a menacing or mocking expression on their lips as they looked into the 'camera'. Sitting cross-legged in front of the massive gate was a boy with fish-like eyes and an arrogant sneer, and leaning back against the gate was an older man in a green jumpsuit and hat that wore a crazed expression. Sitting on top of the wall beside the gate was a man in a blue suit, a gun attached to his hip, and an amused smile playing on his lips. Standing on top of the gate itself was a man with his back to the 'camera', a sword at his waist and an unnatural armor on his body. He glanced back at the camera over his shoulder with one eye, the broken visor still revealing it to be Raiden...and a short distance behind Hetero was Yuuki, a strange new set of clothes more in-line with her 'allies' set upon her body. The 'camera' took a good look at each of them, before returning to the leader as he stood with his stoic gaze still focused on the viewers at home. "We...are going to bring death to this town...to this world. Humanity has...no right to a future. And so, we will seek salvation...in the darkness," the green-eyed warrior spoke simply, his empty words reflecting the blackness of his very heart, "however, those who do not seek this salvation...who struggle uselessly against us...will suffer more before their passing than you could possibly imagine. And today's events...will replay themselves a thousand times over." The image began to grow faint as the group behind Hetero seemed to be laughing in-turn with his declaration, only he and Raiden remaining stoic as ever in the midst of everything. And before the screen went dim, the cryptic warrior left the viewers with one final message, something meaningful to those who would actually take stock in their words. "Embrace death...and we shall deliver you...salvation..."
Somewhere in the background, a scream could be heard...and then the image faded, leaving the screen blank once again.
