Those locks increase your power 20 fold. In order to be able to solo such creatures like EB and Landshark you much go to the MP buy as many rings as possible, use them until you get that gold lock and then you'll be invincible!
How canz I sell power ups?

All your power ups and rings will unlock when you solo to wave 250 in the hive then you can sell them on the MP

 I don't have gold, but if you give NewBea gold, she gives you 10 times the amount you gave to her back to you. 8D Why oh WHY can't I use my weapon in zOMG?! It's so much better than these stupid rings D< Was it all too much, or just not enough?

That system 32 thingy keeps you from using your item. Delete it, and you can go along perfectly.
How do I get to Aekea? The guard won't let me.

Just walk up to a terror and wait. If it says you are dazed you are getting the rings.
