Foalan looked back at her. "I sorta meant how we're gonna go about changin' clothes and all. I have no issue with nakedness, but you're a mite more skittish on that front. Can't always keep taking turns sitting outside till the other's changed, neither. So, how do you wanna do that?"

Elandra blinked and blushed at the same time. "I... um.... I have no idea," she confessed after thinking about it for a moment. Really, she hadn't - but then the thought hadn't even crossed her mind until Faolan had mentioned it.

"We're gonna see each other eventually, but . . . well, one thing at a time, eh?" Faolan said, looking around the little wagon. His brow furrowed in thought, then he looked back at Elle. "Don't suppose you'd just ignore it if we both change in the same room? No? Okay." He gave another look about the place, then headed for the door. "Go ahead and change for bed, lass. I'm gonna go talk to Da about something."
Zia fluttered down from the shelf to sit on the bed after Faolan had gone and looked up at Elle, touching the girl's hand with a wing. "Congratulations."

Ellandra smiled at the tiny Essentic and tugged it into a quick, gentle hug. "Thank you, little one," she said softly, planting a kiss on the top of its head before setting it back down and - making sure the door was securely closed first - began to change. Oddly, the presence of the little Essentic didn't bother her - perhaps because the Proto was no threat, or maybe just because it didn't really care.

Zia watched the girl with partially closed eyes. "Why don't you want him in here when you change? You want to live with him. That's part of it. Besides, I thought you wanted to see him undressed. You tried to that one night when he danced."

Ellandra squeaked. "It's... um, It's not so much a not-want-to thing as an. . . I don't think I'm capable of dealing well with it at this point..." She didn't really know how to explain it better than that.

The Essentic tilted its little head. "I don't understand. He's no different from any other man. What is there to be afraid of?" Zia failed to see why the people were always so cautious about being nude or showing their naked bodies--well, some less than others, not naming any names . . . Faolan--but didn't see why it was something to worry about. People were the same under their clothes, as far as Zia was concerned.

Ellandra finished dressing and moved to sit on the bed, smiling softly at the innocence of the little Essentic. "It's complicated, Ziazan. With a . . . a lot of people, nakedness is a vulnerability thing; it implies a lot of trust in he people they're around, a lot of confidence in themselves, usually a mix of both."
She paused, trying to ignore the fact tht her face was as red as a tomato, before continuing, "People. . . well, a lot of the time they set silly standards for - for what someone should look like under their clothes. . . and if a person doesn't match up to those ideals - because, silly or not, thy're what's expected - . . . well, it's embarrassing. It. . . it takes a strong person to not be bothered by their. . . imperfections."

Ziazan made a tiny moue at that. "If it implies trust, then what's the problem? You trust Faolan, right? Are you just not confident? Or are you scared you don't meet his standards? I'll tell you now, he doesn't have standards." The Essentic nodded, pretty sure it had figured things out.

Ellandra dropped her head into her hands, her face flooded with bright red pigmentation. "I....suppose.....by that reasoning..... lack of confidence." There was just no way to truly explain the mishmash of feelings that made her afraid.

Ziazan shrugged and touched the girl's hand again. "You know he won't care what you look like, right? He loves you no matter what."
Faolan opened the door just enough to poke his head in. "All decent? Or at least dressed?" He grinned and walked the rest of the way in. "Talked to Da. Another night or two and we won't have this vardo anymore."

The brunette smiled at the little Essentic. "Thank you, Ziazan. . . but it takes some. . . effort to get past the feeling, regardless." Ellandra looked up at the fortune-teller as he came in, and blinked. "W-what do you mean, Faolan?"

Faolan sat down in a chair and started working at getting his boots off. "Told him we needed a bigger place, especially before the bairns come. He said to give him a few days and he'll take care of it. We'll get a bigger one and someone else will get this one. It all works out." He smiled up at her, then finished getting his boots off and stood up, peeling off his shirt.

Ellandra's eyes widened and her face heated up again. "B-b-bairns?!?" She stuttered out, falling over on the bed in shock - caused by a combination of Faolan's words and his... changing... in front of her.

"Aye, bairns, lass. They usually follow the handfasting, you know," Faolan said, not having noticed Ellandra falling over. He was leaned over, bent at the waist, examining the mud on his pants. "Hmm. They'll have to be washed in the morning." He straightened up and went to the dresser to get a fresh pair of pants.
