Fern smiled, gasping softly. "It's beautiful Saberlin. I love it, thank you." She hugged him, smiling. He may not have thought it was much but she loved it. She put the small cain around her neck, smiling.

Fern smiled. "A walk by the beach? That sounds wonderful." She took his hand and stood up, fishing a pair of sandals out of one of her bags. She slipped them on and kissed Saberlins cheek.

Saberlin found his own shoes while Fern put on her sandals, even though they were probably just going to get sand in them. Once they were ready to go, he led the way out of the room and down to the main reception, where he asked for directions.

Saberlin soon found himself leading the way along a small track between flowers, lush foilage and palm trees. The sand was powdery, soft and golden white beneath their shoes. He smiled faintly as the tangy ocean breeze caressed their faces. It was refreshing.

Heading further down onto the beach, he walked slowly along the sea shore alongside Fern, watching as small, glittering waves rushed playfully onto the beach and soaked into the shining wet sand before another washed over their place, trailing frothy white foam. "It's so peaceful here" he observed, "A welcome change of environment. Do you think we should come down here for a swim tomorrow?"

She sighed happily as she listened to the sound of the waves, closing her eyes. She looked up at Saberlin and nodded. "That sounds like a great idea. We could bring a picnic too."

"That is a good suggestion" he agreed, thinking of putting in Fern's favourite foods. "We should bring some snacks along too. Swimming can work up quite an appetite" Continuing to meander slowly along the serene beach, Saberlin looked out over the water at the glowing sun dipping into the sea along the horizon. Its beams tinged the shimmering waves with tropical tangerines and ruby reds and painted the sky with a warm peach glow. He took a deep breath of the salty air, enjoying the soft breeze sweeping off the ocean. Curling his tail lightly around Fern's waist in an affectionate gesture, he appreciated the moment. There probably wouldn't be many more opportunities like this in a few month's time.

Glancing down at his wristwatch, Saberlin realised they would have to return to the room shortly. Unless..."It will become dusk soon. What do you say to a spot of stargazing? We don't have to stay late, just until the first appear"

"Alright then" he nodded. Walking some way further along the beach, he waited until the tinge of pink began fading from the sky before eventually turning around to head back towards the inn.

By and by, pinpoints of bright multi coloured lights began to appear scattered here and there throughout the indigo heavens, lending their beauty to the evening world.
