My marching tuba does that all the time! When I have it up and have been playing for awhile, all the spit goes on my mouth. DX It only happens on MY tuba, funny because I used my friend's tuba once and I never got spit on my face. xD

chaudblaze For some reason, I doubt it...but my flute does the same thing sometimes. yeah me too... i guess i must be putting a lot of air in the instrument in order for the moisture to collect in drops >.>

Im so used to the spit it doesnt even bother me. And its mostly water anyways. Like if i play for long periods of time my number 4 hole (I dont know the exact term) On my bassoon always starts leaking. So i usually just dry it with my shirt if it gets too bad.

LOL it was so funny cause I was the lead in my row and everyone saw it and laughed...good timesss now it's fixed and works perfectly...BORING

(you should worry if it's not coming out, because it obviously means that the liquid is staying in your instrument.)

When I have been playing for a super long time, like a bit mroe then 2 hours, then one of my keys gets a whole lot of liquid in it, while the liquid is still coming out the thumb hole and the bottom. I had to remove the liquid with my hoddie strap during band today, because it would spray me whenever I used the key.

Yeah, if I've played my flute for >45 minutes straight or piccolo for >15 minutes straight. It doesn't bother me. Swab it out and suck it up. confused

I've played so much that my flute has leaked on me (especially on the thumb key. One time a WHOLE BUNCH of spit came out on me and I was like "EWWWWW!!!" then the rest of the band was like "Ohhh Karina got spit on her." But it really was so disgusting!
