um, i play flute, but we don't really have chairs. we have a section leader (she's amazing at flute!) then we have parts, i play 3rd part with the other freshman, but most of the time the music is the same

Flute.
First chair.
Though, I have only been playing since the start of the school year.
The only reason I think I'm first chair is because
I was in the band to start with,
before we FINALLY got another flute,
who is astounding.
She's been playing for four years.
This is also the school's first REAL band.

I'm first chair clarinet in my school's concert band and third chair clarinet in symphonic band because my senior section leaders automatically got the first two chairs.

Clarinet, but I mostly play in marching band and we really don't have chairs, but experience and such, but before I was in college, I was first chair.

trumpet, 5th chair. alto horn(which i think is a really sexy horn) 1st or 2nd, depending on whether you count the french horn.

In the sophmore band I'm first chair clarinet out of 3. I sit first chair out of 7-8 others....i feel kinda bad though >_> cause i'm only a sophmore...and the seniors this year have waited 3 years to be first chair out of both bands...(my school only goes 10th through 12th)...and as soon as they were going to be first chair..along comes a sophmore and steals it away from them o,.,o
I'm also the lead alto sax in jazz band..., and besides the lead tenor...i'm the best sax player o,.,o which is kinda sad, considering i'm the youngest and i only started in 8th grade..everyone else started in 6th
