Genesis smiled in the darkness as Caleb pushed his bed closer to hers "of course" she said in a calm tone before settling in he bed. She felt his presence and it comforted her and soon her eyes drooped and her breathing slowed. She slept calmly and soundly except for one dream, she was prancing in the meadow with Caleb laughing and prancing. She laughed and felt the warm sun on her pelt, one thing confused her. In the dream there was her and Caleb but the emotion was stronger and there was kits. Genesis smiled as she saw them bearing her and Calebs markings, she woke up her eyes flitting and it was still dark. Warmth still radiated from her coat and she really liked the idea but was confused, this was her best friend she couldn't like him like that could she?

Sighing a little shyly, he curled up on his bed. The cave was warm, and he was soon asleep. In his sleep, he had turned and rolled. All this movement had moved him closer to Genesis. When he was nearly against her, his twitching ceased and his sleep was peaceful, not noticing Gen wake.

Genesis sat awake until the sun poked up over the hill outside of the cave. She couldn't get the dream out of her head and she bit her lip wondering what to do. She realized how much she liked him on that way but vowed to never ruin her friendship so she wasn't going to say anything.

Rising from deep and comfortable sleep, Caleb rolled onto his back and stretched out his limbs. With a wide yawn, he blinked his eyes and suddenly froze stiff. Where was he?! This wasn't home! It took him another moment to remember last night. It was a sleep over.
Feeling silly, he turned onto his side and caught sight of Genesis, looking radient as the faint rays of morning made her fur glow. "Morning." He said cheerfully, tail wagging in greeting as he pushed his bashfulness away for the moment.

Genesis saw her friend and kept a calm face, she was happy to see him and didn't want to ruin it so she put on a smile and faced him "Hello Caleb beautiful mourning huh?" she asked him in a light tone. She walked outside the mouth of the cave and laid down listening to the early morning sounds.

Caleb nodded as he followed her out of the cave, sitting beside her and scratching his ear. "So, how was your first night in the new cave? Not so bad huh?"

Genesis froze a little at the question, it wasn't very noticeable but she could feel it. She didn't want to give away anything about the dream so she carefully answered "no not bad at all" without giving to many details.

Caleb, busy scratching his ear, hadn't noticed the pause. "Good. I slept well too." Once her said it, he paused in scratching and frowned. It was just a feeling, but he suddenly thought that the entire night hadn't been a good sleep. But that didn't make sense, as he didn't remember any dreams of any sort. He shook his head.
"So do you have special plans for the day? Need anything for the cave?"

Genesis saw that he was the same old Caleb and she answered his question quickly "no and no at least I don't think so" she giggled. "So do you have any plans for today?" she asked him back hoping he wasn't getting to sick f her already.

He shook his head. "Just the usual. Sleep, eat, chase rabbits for fun, nap, fish, nap, eat, bed." He laughed at how silly it all sounded. "I sound like I could use something to spice up my life. The only exciting time is when I'm around you." Then he added playfully, "How sad is that?"

"Ya very sad" she said rolling her eyes "I am the best thing that could happen to a mutt like you" she said in a playful way sticking her nose up in the air trying to suppress the giggles rising deep in her throat. She got up and her ears perked turning towards a bush, calculating her attack she pounced into the brush and came out a couple seconds later "rabbit?" she asked the limp animal hanging from her jaws.

"Hey!" He started to protest, denying she was the best thing, but he cut himself short. He started thinking it would be mean to deny it... and, somehow, an absolute lie. "Whatever you say princess." He cooed, exaggerating the innocence of the title.
He nearly jumped when Genesis took off, smirking when she returned with the rabbit. "Yes, that is a rabbit! Good job! Now, can you show me a fish?"

"I am a princess and you know it, a high class girl who shouldn't be hanging out with mutts" she poked his shoulder and giggled. "You are my best friend though" she laughed before setting the rabbit to the ground and ignored his fish comment.

Caleb cocked his head slightly before smiling. "I saw a movie once. One of those human things. They have a- a- what's it called? Well, they drive their cars to theis huge box outside and watch their movies from the car. Well..." He chuckled bashfully at what he was about to say, considering how that particular movie had ended. "You're reminding me of it, because it was about a man who lived in the street and a woman princess who lived in a grand palace. You're like the princess and I'm the street guy. And he was called a street rat too. Kinda like me being a mutt."
No need to tell her that those humans fell in love in the end, right?

"Ya you better beleive it" she said comically strutting her stuff before breaking down giggling at how stupid she must look. She was so happy he stayed with her and maybe he would even spend the night again. "We should see a movie sometime" she said curious on what he was talking about.
