Kikyo smiled.
"I like your style Ace." she said. "And I'll help you anyway I can, but no guarantees that it ill be much help." she looked at the C.D.s she had been looking at and then asked. "So, where are we meeting and do you want him along?" she whispered the last part, and indicated Tyler when she said him.

Tylor already didn't like this Ace kid since he deliberately said what he could do to harm Kikyo and that alone made him an enemy. If Kikyo was going anywhere, he would follow to protect her. She was a smart girl at times, but had no real offensive talents or weaponry to defend her, so it was usually up to Tylor to pack weapons to where ever she went.

"I heard that crack about me being 'being a little girl'.Right now I have to agree with your brother.It's not not nice to ask someone their age.Any how though I'm 14.And yes,I'm sure there are some more of us.And no I don't know the exact role of the leader."She said answering both their spoken and unspoken questions.

Strolling along the sidewalk, Ann stretch out her arms into the air. It was such a beautiful day. The warmth of the sun against her skin felt good. She return her hand to their previous spot near her pocket as her thumbs rest inside. Not sure why she dose this, but it always felt right. Most likely an old habit she picked up from her master. Just then a stray cat came out from behind a tree. Ann smiled at the stray and crouched down to it. She extended her hand out to the cat. "Hi there." The stray cat was hesitant at first, but slowly made it way to her. Ann stayed still as the cat sniffed at her hand. Finally it began to purr and rubbed it's head against her hand.

Xanthos looked at Jaxxon and frowned. "You need to learn to watch your mouth Jax." He looked at Rin, then leaned back and pulled Jax's head close enough for him to whisper in his brother's ear. "Guard your thoughts brother. Don't think anything unnecessary." He looked back at Rin and smiled. "So are we supposed to find these people?"
Jaxxon blinked and nodded. "Alright... He looked at Rin and laughed. "I mean no offense but to me, you do seem like a little girl. Xan and I turn 20 in a few months." He grinned and big, stupid and goofy grin.

Tylor couldn't just tell Kikyo where to go, it was still her choice to go anywhere she pleased and Tylor was forced to just follow along to protect her; nothing else unless it was financial. The best Tylor could do was make sure the guy she was going to hang out with wasn't a criminal.
"So...Ace, have you registered yet?"
The Registration Act wasn't as violent against Naturals, so Ace wasn't exactly under a strict code to register yet since he was an Elf and not some freak.

"Well, since you're a Natural, Ace, you don't have to worry about registration for about two months. Since Kikyo didn't attend the public hearing about it, the Registration Act was passed requiring all abnormal humans and Naturals to register at the nearest government office. Since you are a Natural, I do feel more comfortable with you being near Kikyo and you explanation of your weapons also assures me you won't harm her. Still, I have a duty to perform to protect Kikyo, no matter what."
Tylor couldn’t display emotions like Kikyo could; armor could only keep one expression and that was the expression of nothing. Instead, Tylor just stared back at Kikyo's eyes with the red optics of his helmet, making himself seem more intimidating then she was. If Kikyo was trying to hook up with someone, at least it wasn't a freak, but instead an Elf. Maybe woman found it kinky to have a boyfriend who wasn't technically human; Tylor himself didn't really understand the whole concept himself, but in truth he didn't know what Kikyo's intentions were with Ace.

"They passed that without my consent?!" she snapped, getting mad. Maybe she should go to these boring meetings after all... "Tyler, I'm making that law a veto. What's the point in knowing who's different and who's not if you don't hunt them down? Where's the fun?"

Back in the days when we had blood hounds sniff out foxes, we always gave the fox a head start, the same principle applies here. After all, there are some decent freaks out there that maybe will register, so calm down. You'll have to attend the next meeting if you wish to veto it."
The Registration Act affected the humans of the abnormal side of society, not the Naturals who were naturally born with their traits such as Ace. Registration was the first step in having all freaks assigned to special communities where they would be supported by the government till a cure for their special gifts was found out, but even then that could take years. Kikyo was indeed smart, but she failed to realize that the Registration Act was but step one in the termination of abnormality in humanity.
