Matthew Blaezing, Calivert Hunter Guardian Corps member and ace Hunter, walked down the paths between he buildings of the Corps. He was dressed in his usual combat gear, which he only ever removed while sleeping, and only while within the confines of the Corps. His bright red breast and backplate shined in the light of the early morning the light reflected particularly brightly off of the white and gold flame designs on them. His lower abdomen was covered only by a white shirt and his baggy white pants made swishing sounds as he walked and his red sash, with the loose cloth hanging down in front with a white flame design on it. His cloth shoes were near silent on the walk, though his steps were heavy and made soft thudding sounds. His fists and forearms were encased in red metal gauntlets and armguards, bladed on the knuckles and proximal sections of the fingers. A single simple spike protruded from each elbow and flame designs were prominent on those as well. A sphere shaped ruby half protruded from the center of his forehead, even between his amber eyes and blonde, forward sweeping spiky hair.

Man, why the hell am I up already? Weird. After those last few rounds last night I thought I'd be out till supper time tonight. Musta been that new imported beer Mac got ahold of. I knew that stuff wasn't gonna sit right with me...

Matt entered the Arenas main lobby just as the elevator came down to the ground floor and the gates rolled open. Inside stood a very slight looking kid, and he did appear to still be a kid, probably just old enough to sign up for the Corps. His clothing was extremely simple, white pants, white shirt, green vest, sandals, the end. He carried a halberd, though, and he looked like he knew how to use it.

"Yo, Kid. Ain't seen ya around here before. Ya new?" Matthew called out to the young man as he walked across the lobby towards him.

Isaac was still deep in thought when he stepped off of the elevator. He barely caught the words when someone called out to him, he quickly glanced over and thanked the crank men. Really, the only reason Isaac knew he was the one being directed was because the man was walking towards him, and with the elevator behind him he knew there was no one to get confused with. He nodded towards the man then, thinking, "Please don't look like an idiot... Don't hate me world..." "Yes, I'm basically new. I just reached the facility a few days ago. I'm Isaac Armine, and you are...?"

Thumping sounds were the only things Emma heard as she tromped through the grounds towards the Mess Hall. Her arms were crossed behind her back as she had a single focus, tons of food. Frankly, she was loaded, and she wasn't afraid to use any of it. She passed the arena, a man, whom seemed familiar to her, it was far too early for her to want to try and remember faces. And there was a boy, conversing with the slightly familiar man. "Awesome, connections." Emma thought. But she quickly moved on, she was hungry, and that's all that mattered.

When she finally reached the Mess Hall, she did something very similar to Kiro. She loaded up her plate with all sorts of meats, she often considered herself a carnivore. Sitting down, she started to devour her breakfast.

Matthew came to a stop once he stood before the young man. He looked down at the boy, something he was not overly used to since he was not the tallest of men either. He plastered his biggest cockiest lopsided grin on his face and pointed one metal clad thumb at his own chest.

"I'm Matthew Blaezing. Call me Matt. Good to meet ya." Matt said and held his hand out to shake, then realized he was wearing his gauntlet blades and retracted the hand. "Good thing you ran into me, kid. I've been around here quite some time. I can show you around, show you the ropes."

"Oh great, one of these types." Isaac thought, fighting not to roll his eyes. "If he calls me kid again, I'm gonna hafta yell at him..." Isaac figured the man would have wanted to at least use his name. And Isaac had nothing he could use that was still appropriate and demeaning. "Guess I'll have to play along." "Nice to meet you Matt. Umm... Is it a good idea to be wearing those around here?" Isaac referred to the gauntlets.

Isaac had noticed the armored woman walked past them earlier. She seemed like she knew what she was doing. Probably knew where she was in the time-space continuum too.

(Don't mean to seem rude, just staying in character. I think...)

((No worries, I have another friend where staying in character sometimes means using his allies as human shields, or stabbing them to use their blood for a spell power up. Good guy, his character's an a** though.

Btw: It's probably been a few hours since the sun came up at this point. Probably 8:30ish in the morning.))

Matt held his gauntleted hands up in front of him and looked down at them for a moment. "These? Yeah, it's no problem. The vets actually encourage us to keep our weapons on us as often as possible. You get used to having them around. Makes them feel more like just another part of you." Matt said. He glanced down at his gauntlets again, then back up to Isaac. "I suppose I could do without the blades though."

Matt removed a small satchel from underneath his sash and opened it, then held it in his right hand. He made his right hand into a fist and positioned the fingers of his left hand over the blades, so that there was a blade between each set of fingers on his left hand. He gripped tightly and gave a sharp downward jerk. All four blades on his right hand came loose. He held the bag open and dropped the blades into it, there was a slight clinking noise as the blades landed in the metal mesh interior of the bag. He moved the bag to his left hand and repeated the process on his left gauntlet. When all eight blades were in the satchel he pulled the drawstrings tight and tied it closed. He stashed the satchel back underneath his sash where he had taken it from.

"There, that's a little safer, probably. Now let's try that again." Matt said with a smile and held his hand out to shake again. "Nice to meet you, Isaac."

(Okay.)

"The vets say? That means he's not actually one of them." Isaac deducted. New people were fun to figure out! Isaac watched as Matt stored the blades from his gauntlets. "Blaezing... Fitting with all of the fire images on his armor. More likely the other way around though... Well, it would still pay to have a friend or two in here. I still have no clue where everything really is." Isaac thought.

As Matt re-extended his hand, Isaac commented as he gripped the extended hand and shook. "Probably? Matthew Blaezing, try definitely. And it is certainly nice to meet you too."

((Well, seems to have become the Stoic and Kyground show... Oh, well...))

"So," Matt said after shaking Isaacs hand and retracting it. He hooked his gauntleted thumbs under his sash and let his arms rest there comfortable. "Would you care for me to show you around? There's few that could do a better job. I know this place like the back of my hand, though I haven't actually seen that in a while... I know this place like the back of my gauntlet." Matt put on a big crooked grin and held one metal encased hand up, displaying the flame designed back of his red colored gauntlet.

(I love that show! I think we should sell tickets and then expand.)

Isaac hesitated a moment before answering, "Umm... Sure. Why not?" "Kinda hyper I guess. But not that bad. He does want to help, but he's probably bored or something." Isaac's brow suddenly rose. A face had appeared next to Matt's own.

"Then what's that spot there?" Emma joked as she pointed at a speck of dirt on the gauntlet. She had finished rather quickly, even for her. But imagine her surprise to still find the two males conversing? She figured they'd have moved on by then. It was shortly after she spotted them again that she remembered who Matt was. And while she didn't have to worry about people not knowing her, she did have to remember whether she met a person or just read their file. She quickly waved to Isaac, "Hello there." She figured Isaac would know her, so she didn't use her name.

The only problem with that was, Isaac had no clue who she was. He had nothing on anyone in the facility, and he wasn't a big fan of history so he also knew very little about the Great Vier War. Isaac gave a small wave back, waiting for Matt's reaction.

Matt barely waited for her to remove her hand form the vicinity of his gauntlet before willing it to burst into flame. The flames extinguished themselves almost immediately.

"I don't see anything. I think you're imagining things, Emma." Matt said. "So, what're you up to today?"

((Short post... Hope you don't mind, Kyground. Since Matt and Emma have both been around the Corps for quite a while I figured they'd probably know each other fairly well, maybe even have worked together one occasion.))

(That's okay. We need to find a way to get the others back though. I think we should bump back into Kiro, and maybe you can send Kimiko to talk with Creed and William, or even Samunite.)

Isaac blinked, not in a special way, but really he was thinking just how ironic Matt's name fit with his abilities. Isaac was also still curious about who this woman was. He got that her name was Emma, he had heard that. He was also interested in how the heat Matt had rolling off of him didn't affect her. Isaac had felt it, he didn't like it, mostly because he still enjoyed colder climates than most.

Emma shook her head, "That's ridiculous. You must be going blind, or senile or something. To think, going senile before I do. 'Tis so sad..." Emma chuckled a little, she hadn't even looked to see if there actually was a spot. It was great. "Anyway, I never planned anything for today, actually. I was going to see if there was any missions worth doing later... Oh, and I was thinking about studying up on some of those really powerful fiends. Never hurts to have a weakness in mind." Emma turned to Isaac then, "So. When do you plan on introducing me to this little tyke?"

Almost instantly Isaac scowled, but then his expression lightened. She did seem like an older woman, and if she was still a hunter, as her armament suggested, she was very experienced.

(( Haha, you said she was experienced.... >.> ))

The dead silence was killing Kiro's state of mind. "Ehh... So, Enyo, why did you become a Hunter?" Kiro asked very directly.

"That's classified information." Enyo replied quickly, not taking her gaze from her book.

Kiro sighed. He was positive he wouldn't be be getting anymore conversation out of Enyo so Kiro stood up, getting ready to be on his way.

"Well, I'll be on my way. If you come here often, I'll make sure to come see you." Kiro said. "Later." He added on his quick way out with no acknowledgement back from Enyo. Kiro stood with a bored look on his face outside the library door.

((Azure's still around, but feels removed right at the moment, so yeah, we need to do something with him.I'm gonna leave Kimiko alone for now. I'm still waiting on creed before I can do anything with William. And I don't think Samunite is going to be rejoining us, he hasn't logged on in three weeks. And to do that without any forewarning constitutes removing him as a member.

On a similar note. Kyground, I love you. You're so active, it's awesome. You alone are making sure that I get to post everyday, I love it.))

"Well, I'm hoping he caught your name, but just in case I'll say it again. Isaac, this is Emma. Emma, Isaac. Isaac, Emma's one of the best. If she ever offers to train with you, or even relive old glories, take her up on it. You'd have to be dense not to learn something. Also keep in mind, if you're not careful, you might die. Emma plays rough." Matt said with a wide grin on his face. "So, Emma, want to help me show the kid around?"

(Azure you pervert! I love it!

Stoic, nothing happens until the second date. I thought we went over this.)

"Excuse me? One of the best? Don't make me hurt you Matt." Emma was still joking. Sometimes it was hard to tell, as Isaac was learning. "Plays rough. You sound so damn dirty." Emma shook her head. She then punched Matt in the arm quickly. "Come on. Where to first?"

Isaac piped up then, "How about whatever you were talking about to study the fiends?"

"The library? You don't even know where that is?"

Isaac faltered, "U-uh.. I only know where my room is and the Mess Hall. Oh, and the main office building or where ever it was that I registered..." Isaac clanked his halberd down a little harder than usual, "I've only been here a few days, okay?"

A distracted looking guy with a dual sword bound to his back over a navy blue blazer down to his dark blue jeans and his heavy boots walked by the group of three containing the tall muscular guy, the new-ish kid and the smiling girl, whilst mumbling to himself around a cigarette and reading a small book.
"If you combine peony and adder's tongue you get the faster digestion but the damn gnomes pop up again," he said to himself as he walked into the wall. "Oww," he moaned softly to himself.

(What a crappy intro. Sorry.)

((No worries, intros are a pain. It's always easier to roleplay a character, for me anyways, once I've gotten them established.))

Matt glanced at the guy that had just walked into a wall. He looked to Emma and gestured to the man while shrugging his shoulders in a questioning way.

"What the hell?" He asked her, again referring to the strange new guy. He shook his head. "Whatever, shall we begin our tour?" He said, this time to Isaac.
