No, I didn't mean you. There are some a bit more radical than that.
I'm not too sure, but it might have been Skip Bayless (ESPN's 1st and 10) that commented on keeping Cassel and doing away with Brady...

You keep Cassel because he's younger and Brady is 31. He has maybe 5 good years left in him whereas Cassel has 10. That's a reason to keep him. Lol. Also, who knows how effective Brady will be when he comes back from that surgery. Palmer came back fine, but who's to say Brady will?
That's the only thing I can see.

Also, who knows how effective Brady will be when he comes back from that surgery. Palmer came back fine, but who's to say Brady will? That's the only thing I can see. I think that Tom Brady has about 7 healthy years left. And I'd take that, over Matt Cassel plus 4-5 years. Brady is an elite QB, that gives his team a very good chance to win the Super Bowl every year. Just less than a year ago, we were calling him the best QB in the league, after his record-breaking season. After Brady's injury, things went downhill for the Patriots, and despite a pretty good season, they still missed the playoffs. Tom Brady still remains the #1 QB in New England, and will it will stay that way. Also, Brady is coming back from knee surgery, so it won't really affect his game. ...Anyways, you can't keep both, because Cassel is due to make a ton of money really soon. In short, Brady is the better choice for the short and long term.

Speaking of which, I heard that the Jets might make a move to get Cassel. That would probably be a bit safer than taking a reach and drafting a QB in the first round.

Although Kurt Warner is my favorite all-time, it was the greatest show on turf that got me into football, Drew Brees I believe is the best QB right now, he made the best out of some not-as-good talent, his best reciever is Marques Colston, but other than that, all he has is Reggie Bush. Tom Brady has had an excellent receiver crop his whole career, and Peyton Manning has Harrison and Reggie Wayne, Eli cant throw to anybody but Plaxico as shown this year, his arm just isnt accurate enough, and this year Kurt had Fitzgerald and Boldin. Roethlisberger is just ******** lucky, I swear the b*****d's a damn Leprechaun in disguise when it comes to some of his throws and the hits he gets. Hasselbeck was good but his back is thrown out and he's just an injured mess, Pennington is good, but not great, Cassel is raw and unpolished, Romo is an Epic Choke Artist, Tarvaris Jackson needs time to become good, Jamarcus Russell = Bust, Derek Anderson had one good season, but Because of his injury I'm not so sure about him, Trent Edwards wasnt the same after his concussion, Jeff Garcia is an old man, still good, but not excellent.

Dude-LAP Also, Brady is coming back from knee surgery, so it won't really affect his game. An injury to your plant leg is significant, especially to your velocity on the ball. But hey, who knows?

I would hope that Tom comes back healthy as always. But if he doesn't then the Patriots sure do have hope in Matt Cassel.
