KristiElizabeth kmaritza I fit in here now! biggrin Well, you fit it, what all do you know so far about whats going on??? Well, I've read tons about pregnancy and childbirth and now am experiencing the first stages of pregnancy. I also have been readin the threads in the guild since the guild was just one thread before the current guild system so I kinda feel like I 'know' everyone even though I haven't been posting.

im so glad that i have had my obgyn for the last 4 years. i completely trust him and he delivered my brother and sister. my mother is his oldest patient.
on another note, i just got on WIC today. my fiance isnt happy with me right now because he doesnt think that we should accept help from the government. but I think that if i stay on WIC and then maybe got foodstamps we would beable to live VERY comfortably. right now we are going from paycheck to paycheck. we dont know if we are going to be able to pay our bills. and we already have credit card monkeys on us. it really sucks. i love him so much but sometimes i feel that he is still a child and i dont want to be with him because i think that it wont be in the best interest for my baby. we fight all the time. and its always about money. what do you think i shoud do? i love him so much but he drives me crazy! @_@

Maybe you could tell your husband that he could put aside his pride for now, and just get government help for now, and then go off of it later on once you're able to pay your bills and such with more ease? smile

WIC is a wonderful program that makes it so much easier to get the proper nutrition so you have a healthy baby. I was on it 17 years ago while pregnant with my daughter. It nearly 'killed' my husband but he did enjoy the fact that we were able to get better foods than we would have been able to afford on our own.

thank you so much for all of your advice.
going out to eat is one of my favorite things to do, and i havent been able to go in more than a month! BUT, this month i am going to open a seperate account from him and maybe that way i can steer him away from compulsive shopping. maybe ill also take his credit cards away from him when hes not paying attention. i would really like to have them payed off before the baby is born, that way when the unexpected expenses REALLY start showing up then we wont have to worry about other bills. also my boss doesnt get back from vacation untill next week so i dont even know if i get payed maternity leave. if we dont start saving now we wont be able to live if im not going to be payed during that time.

(sorry if I'm mistaken) anyway if theres anything I can help you with feel free to ask me. and congrats again. I'm 5-6 weeks along. I'll know more once I go to the OB/GYN. My first appointment is on Feb. 15, the day after my birthday. biggrin Actually, I am just seeing the OB/GYN's nurse at that point, and then I'll set up an appointment to see the actual doctor. I feel like I'm having to wait orever to see the doctor! I haven't had any morning sickness yet. I'm crossing my fingers that I won't get any, but it's early so there's a good chance I still will. Tetravus, my husband, has been part of the guild for quite awhile. He's so excited! I love seeing him tell people because of that. biggrin

I think there is something like state disability that you can get while out during that time but I would have to look into it

Just be firm, I had a huge fight with my hubby while I was pregnant the first time, about money. I just stuck to my guns and we have never had a problem again. I hope it works out for you. Your separate acount idea sounds good. You will alway have unexpected bills once the baby gets here or if you have complications at all. Sounds to me like you've got the right ideas.

Glad your not having any morning sickness. Hope your appointment goes good. My first two appointments I only got to see a nurse too. But with the millitary they are so busy all the time and there are never any doctors 'cause they are all deyployed, so you don't even know that you'll ever see your assinged doctor, and whoever is on call deleivers your baby. It's kind of scarey I miss my civilian OB.
