"A.....WAR?!" Devoren started panicking. What is Mistress Sumi thinking?! He needed to reason with her. Make her change her mind. How could she just start a war with another nation just because she was bored?!?! If he could snap her out of it, make her see her mistakes, then mayb-
The numbness in Devoren's right arm was disappeared. It started moving. He couldn't control it. it was going wild. Spazzing out. He tried using his left hand to hold it in place, but his dominant arm overpowered him. He began to hyperventilate. His head was overflowing with thoughts of death. Was this the end for him? Is this how he was going to die?! His breathing became heavy and slow. Then suddenly, he stopped moving and breathing altogether. Silence overcame him.
"HEHEHEHEHE!" Devoren gave a grin, stretching his lips as far to the sides as they could, showing his cotton white teeth. Looking into his wide bulging eyes, it was obvious this wasn't the same Devoren as moments ago. "Sumi-samaaaaaaa. How long till we reach the thunder country? I'm D-Y-ING to have a taste of blood. I hear water nation's are a delicacy" He licked his lips and slurped in his drooling saliva.

Mikiela intervened with a flaming fireball. As per Newton's laws of motion, the outside force diverted the lightning's path, thus ensuring the new mistress's safety. "The gods give you that power to protect people, not to seek harm to others," she called back. Her arm tingled from the fire usage. Honestly, what was going on with everyone's powers?

v i v i e n n e;; the voices in my head don't like you"Mhhh... Mwaha... ahaha... hah ha ha... hahaha... haha!" The Mistress's deranged laughter echoed down the long, grand halls, reverberating between marble floor and high, pitched ceilings, between the stark white pillars and the heavy velvet hangings draped over the windows- drawn SHUT, of course. She was in the Room again, where she usually spent her days as of late. The Room was a fortress within a fortress, an impenetrable room which housed it- the Crystal. Mistress Vivienne's country beyond her castle walls was dying, her people plagued by famine and disease, the crops and livestock failing, the typically placid people angry and warring amongst each other. But these problems did not reach the heart of the totalitarian nation. Vivienne turned a deaf ear to the cries of her people, instead spending her days with the Crystal, muttering to herself and scribbling on vast sheets of paper. These messages were indecipherable to anyone but Vivienne, but in her mind she knew they were battle plans. Appointments with fate. Tools of domination. The diagrams of destruction.
Today the Room was dark, unlit but for a few candles guttering gently on the table by her sheet of scribblings, some of which seemed to trail off the paper, spread onto the table like spilled milk. Silver Phantom energy whirled through the air, ebbed and flowed, slippery, immaterial, fluid like water. It curled around her figure, cradling each limb, each finger. Like smoke, it draped the room, concentrating around the Crystal, the source of the energies. This was the portal, the gateway between life and death. She moved closer to it, succumbing to its alluring draw, the rustle of her black skirts falling on dead ears. Tendrils of energy curled off her fingers and caressed the immense stone. This was the essence of her country, it imbued everything within its limits. It saturated her being, its power... Raw power. All hers. A pink tongue quickly ran over both of her lips.
"Yes... yes." she mumbled to herself, running a finger along the top of the Crystal, shuddering gently. Her voice had a double-timbre, her female tone on top of a darker, heavier voice, a male. She was possessed, though this was not unusual for Phantom masters; it was an innate ability, to possess oneself with a departed spirit. But this spirit... it consumed her, controlled her. It hungered, slavered after her power. Made plans. Other spirits invaded her weakened psyche, too, at times; her voice would quiver, several voices as one, rising and falling. "Yes, this will do... I hear you, I do, I do. Yes. I am but your vessel, your puppet. Yes..." Often she mumbled to someone not in the room, the spirits in her head. Lucidity did not come; the spirits gripped her tightly and held her there.
There was a disturbance in the wall; people were entering. With a feral growl, the Mistress straightened, moving closer to the wall of concern, leaving one hand draped elegantly on the Crystal. Her dark, bloodshot eyes were wide, surveying the intruders. "What business have you here? Speak!" she barked, her voice sharply loud, echoing off the walls. With her body she blocked the Crystal from view, protective, defensive. "Your orders were simple. Stay. Out. Must we do everything ourselves? Eyes glazing over, the Mistress made a menacing step toward the pair, her fist blazing with the energy in the room. A small malicious grin cracked her lips in two. She would take pleasure in killing them without a second thought.
One of the figures stumbled, and a pretty blonde crashed down to her knees, her head bowed in fear, trembling. "M-mistress..." she breathed. Before the Mistress could harm her, her partner knelt elegantly next to her, doubling himself over easily and crossing one arm across his chest. They were dressed in matching uniforms, those black and silver uniforms of the Phantom guard, high-ranking officers. The man gave her his hand, which she turned over and inspected; there, a deep, searing brand on his left wrist. Vivienne relented; the energy dispersed back into the room, her eyes became clear again.
"Forgive us, my Mistress," he spoke gently, standing and producing a fine envelope sealed with red wax from his silver-gilded coat. Vivienne's eyes narrowed at the seal; a summons from the Water country. She scoffed quietly, examining the figure before her as he brushed light brown hair from his green eyes. "It was a matter of the utmost importance. The countries are gathering in the Water Nation, to discuss the current climate that's been shrouding the globe. It is important that you attend and represent the Phantom country." He offered a hand to the girl at his feet, pulling her up and clutching her hand possessively.
"You may take your leave." she said, making a show of opening the letter and examining its contents, though the thoughts running through her head were along the lines of 'The back of this paper will make a good checklist.' One word caught her eye in particular; insanity. It burned its image into her retina like a camera's flash, snapping something in her degraded mind. As soon as the pair had left, she tossed the paper face-down on her table and began to write. Once satisfied, she left the room, materialising through the wall, and grabbed the nearest guard by the collar of his shirt. "Gather the troops." she hissed between her teeth and marched on down the hall. Within the hour, Vivienne's fleet had set sail for the Water country.
Phht, she thought to herself. They hadn't even seen insanity yet.
"You will have your war... I promise, I promise you."

R a i a n a » × « s l a t e _______________________________________ + + _______________________________________ Rai twitched. There was that odd feeling again - as though one was being watched. Of course, a lot of eyes were on her at the moment, but no-one was 'watching' her. Her hand made it to the back of her head, swatting away at the air as though to slap that annoying feeling away. When nothing changed, the Thunder Mistress spun around and glared across the dock, gloved fist being drawn back like she were readying herself to attack. A split second before the lightning induced attack were about to let rip, a tap on her shoulder caught her attention unusually fast caused her to stop, turning on her heel to address the man. "Are we done? I can leave now?" The man nodded but moved to point at the few ships blocking them into the dock. Rai's brow twitched into a glare again and nodded herself, kicking up the dust and gravel on the dock as she sped towards the assigned ship. "I want this ship moving now! If yer' not on the ship by the time I sit down, yer' being left behind!"
[ ooc : plenty of time if Korik still wants to follow her. xD ]
---
"Residents of the Thunder Country. These areas are off limits. Please turn your ship around or we will resort to force." Off limits? These were their waters! Immediately the entire ships crew turned to look at Rai, half looking amused while the rest looked oddly worried for their safety. The little red head, on the other hand, appeared strangely calm, arms folded across her just with her eyes fixed to the skies, lips parting and uttering some silent prayer. Both ships fell silent until--
KRACKAABOOM! Lol. Kiyo sound effects
The skies threw a gigantic bolt of lightning, the enemy ship setting alight and almost instantly exploding. The magnificent performance of flames and smoke dancing to the evening sky with the accompaniment of the survivors yells and curses brought one of the largest grins ever seen to Rai's face. She turned back to the crew, arms opened wide as though wanting to embrace them all. "Bullseye~" Her eyes were pure black, the only amounts of color within them reflected from the few sparks of fire flying overhead. The remains of the destroyed ship sunk quickly, revealing a large gap with the blockade. "Well.. Get us moving!"

_like a нypσtнeяmi¢ cнill || Sumi_ [ ω є ℓ ¢ σ м є t o м у ω σ я ℓ ∂ ! ] Sumi watched curiously as her apprentice started to panic. What was his problem anyways? Who didn't love wars? Devoren was clearly freaking out, and the ice mistress's eyes narrowed dangerously. If he was going to make a big scene out of it, she have to throw him overboard... Her mind entertained itself with a careful plan of how to kill the young man. Her powers were greater than his, and even though he was probably physically stronger than herself... ah well. She'd think of something.
The woman stood up, ready to put her makeshift plan into action. However, the stark change in Devoren's demeanor gave her pause. She knelt down beside him, idily holding up his arm and watching as the black blood oozed and froze. No worry was evident in her eyes.... there was only room for curiousity. Research and investigation. His maniacal laughter boomed, and she sat back, grinned herself. Now Devoren was having fun too! Just like her! She chuckled with him, patting his head. "Not toooooo much longer. But that's not what I heard about water citizens..." she trailed off sadly, her voice dropping to a whisper. "I heard their blood is watery." She made a face, as if watery blood was the most disgusting thing on the planet. Then she shrugged. Oh well!
Thunderclouds were forming above them, impossibly fast. Sumi's dark gaze turned upward, watching amusedly as lightning forked. "Ooooh! Rai is getting a little ahead of herself!" she exclaimed, and as soon as she was doing talking a loud explosion sounded in the direction of the thunder country. Sumi jumped up, boots clomping loudly on the desk as she ran to the bow. A ship... was on fire! "Whoooooo!~" the girl cheered, leaning dangerously over the railling. Rai was having fun already! And she was missing it...
Sumi was so caught up in the tower of flames that she didn't notice the enemy ship until it was pretty much right in front of them. Voices boomed, obviously trying to get their attention. "These are restricted waters. Please turn around." Sumi frowned, tapping her foot erratically in impatience. She didn't want to turn around, she wanted to go straight! She pointed her arm out to exaggerate her intentions. The voices were talking again, and so was her captain, asking what to do. But the girl ignored them all, and called Devoren to her side. "This is how you destroy a ship!" she whispered to him, raising her arms in the air. Instantly, the water around the enemy ship was freezing, creeping along the ocean until it reached the wooden hull. But it didn't stop there. The frost continued, mercilessly killing anyone who was standing on the ship as temperatures plummeted. Soon, the boat was nothing more than a frozen ghost ship, and Raine was able to steer around it. Sumi giggled again as they passed the ship, straining for a glance of its dead crew. "See? Fun!"

~Tabatha LeSelle~ .:.:.:.:.:.:.:. " And the God's looked upon their creation and said, 'It is good.'"
"The Change"

Tabatha began to get a headache yet again. right began to change colours constantly. Finally he fainted out of weariness. He fell ou the window sill and head head first for the concrete below. Suddenly his eyes open as he landed on his hands gently. His right eye was changing colours constantly and his left eyewas a dark black. He began moving with his hands looking at the soldiers sadistically. He laughed one before his legs turned into vines with thorns. He grabbed a soldier with one of the vines. The soldier began to bleed profusely as tabatha dragged the man to him. Tabatha opened his mouth as blood began to drip onto his tongue. Then he gruesomely began to squeeze the blood out of the man drinking it slowly. One the man was dead and completely dried, Tabatha released a poisonous haze from his mouth that did turn the man into moosh. Tabatha then began to eat what was left of the man. One done his legs returned back to normal. As he flipped again to land on his feet. The sadistic smile spread wide across his face.
Buy now some of the soldiers had began running away scared while others watched horrified. Something happened to Tabatha in that headache.
Rochelle had began to back away in fear. He gave a look to Gabriela then called for a retreat. Other troops remained to cause as much damage as possible.

"Mistress of Fire. Your power serves better use now than Water. If that man makes a move, do not hesitate to utilize your strength." In the back of her mind, Raven felt the darkness within her stirring again. She had witnessed the man slip from the window, and watched him devour and kill. She recognized the evil, because it was the same extent which was manifesting within herself.
The cat-like pupils were thin slits, the usual emerald hue of her irises darkened, almost black. A low, vicious snarl ripped from her lips; a part of Raven's mind was angry that Tabitha had attacked the soldiers, and possibly put her Water Mistress in an even more dangerous situation. The other half, the darkness that was growing within her, wanted him to suffer as gruesomely as possible for it. Every fiber of her being screamed to defy her Mistresses wishes and to leap out of the window to tear the threat apart.
Raven remained still, her gaze locked onto him. Her temper was beginning to rise once more, she could feel the heat flushing her usually pale cheeks. For a moment, her gaze flickered down to the iron-clad grip she held on her weapon. Her eyesbrows raised in surprised to see tiny trendils of darkness swirling around her fingers. The same intent gaze returned back to the scene below, and she leaned over the side to watch. If the wrong hand were dealt, she'd snap and kill any to threaten the Water Nation.

The fire apprentice inclined her head. "Though I am no Mistress yet, it would give me no better pleasure than to use my powers against those who would fight against my friend and her people." She rubbed her arm absently, staring at Tabatha warily. What would he and his accomplices attempt next?

(nice sound effect rai.giving tribute to kiyo? edit from Ritzo: well, I did copy and paste it. xDD) "It's risky, but this will do" the thunder student thought to himself as he used his powers to magnetically bend back the sharp spikes that were on the shoulder portion of his armor back so that the clothing will fit him without any suspicion. Of course, Recnam was still learning, so the max he could probably control magnetically was the size of an average sword. As he was putting on the clothing, he noticed that Rai was about to look over here, so Recnam quickly went back down, hiding behind the boxes; from there he continued to dress himself up. Though it seemed useless since it was a high chance that he was going to get caught; all Recnam could do now is hope that she didn't see him and that Rai would continue with his mission.
Fortunately that was the case as Recnam heard her being displeased, and the red haired man didn't like it. Once Rai addressed that whoever was coming with her better be quick, the man forgot about it and arose with a different attire. Recnam's sword was behind his back inside of the clotihng, but with his hood up, it would be a little difficult to spot. As Recnam quickly made his way towards the ship, keeping his head down and moving behind Rai, his heartbeat began to rise. Once he was on the ship, the red haired student picked up his step towards the bottom portion of the ship, and could be seen near the portion that would be considered rooms.
Recnam look around before taking out his device and began to speak with Korik.
"Im at the bottom of the ship waiting to set off; so far so good"
Recnam heard the thunderstrike towards one of the ships and turned off the device; since the other ships were part of another nation, it was likely that one of them was the target of a blast such as that. That mean that is was mostly Rai, and that a thunderstorm was created, which would benefit them for the trip. Recnam didn't know whether or not Rai would continue to strike other ships, but the thunder student could not interfere. Recnam's role is to follow for now.

~Tabatha LeSelle~ .:.:.:.:.:.:.:. " And the God's looked upon their creation and said, 'It is good.'"
"The Change"

Tabatha by now had turned back to normal. His left eye returned to its cool grey and his right eye had reached a steady olive color. He walked silently away from the ones fighting and sat underneath the shade of a tree. He would watch from here until this was over. He felt a dark presence in his mind. However he did not really want to fight it. He was more interested in how he could control it and harness it. Maybe he could use it to his advantage on his conquests in the future. He called to the others. "Conitnue the fight. I have made it easier for you."

"Alright Korik that's enough, you have to get some rest at some point..." Korik said to himself as he slammed his head down on his desk.
Ever since things started getting bad, he had not gotten an ounce of rest. Korik sat up and reached to the handle of his desk drawer and lifted a bottle out of it, poured a glass, lit up and took a toke. He exhaled and took a swig of whiskey.
"Well I suppose I should head out."
Korik reached down to the intercom underneath the numerous amount of explosives and loose papers...
"Boys, guard the place while I'm gone, will you? I'm gonna' go run and get some--"
BAAAAAAAAAM!
Korik watched as a man flew through his office doors, looking down on the ground were a man lay. As soon as he knelt down, he recognized this man - It was Dr. Alwyen. Korik had sent a secret dispatch team of scientists to find out what was going on. From the looks of it, things weren't going so well.
"Dr. Alwyen! Are you okay..?Korik shook him and in a split second, he came out of shock and stuttered his way into a sentence. His eyes wide, he looked like he was about to wet himself. He was so scared, but why?
"K...Ko...Korik.. Master Korik... we, we researched, we found the source... its the crystal sir, we found it, it changed them, my team...
"Wha.. What happened Dr.
"They killed... everyone, each other, the guards themselves... They just went insane, the crystal it ne... needs...
"WHAT DOCTOR!"
Korik looked down at the Dr. as he gave his last breath of air and closed his eyes. Korik tensed as he rolled him over to find a combat knife enlodged into his spine. Korik stood up and walked over to the intercom. Just as he went to push the botton down on the intercom, guards flowed in and looked down at the ground, and back to Korik.
"Call in a clean up crew, and get to work. Its gonna' be a long night.."
Just as Korik was about to finish Recnam just so happened to fill him in on his dirty work again. "Im at the bottom of the ship waiting to set off; so far so good"
Korik paused and hit his com link, checking up on Recnam's position..."Alright, good luck.. Things are getting real ******** sketchy around here man.. Keep in touch. Korik out."
Korik snapped back at the Guards. "Get a move on boys, keep me informed.."
Korik looked at his desk and took a flash step out of his office, out the building, and into the darkness.
