---Entrance Theft---
Flames poured out of the hole in the center of the Fire Cavern, a hellish roar of fire and brimstone coming from within. Just as it seemed as though the flames of hell itself would rise up and consume the entire island, the Guardian Diety of Fire, Ifrit, rose up out of the hole, its red eyes glaring down at Haiiro.
"IMPUDENT HUMAN." Ifrit spoke, and yet its mouth did not move. Being a mere avatar of the actual Fire God, Ifrit needed not communicate vocally.
Before it ever landed on the ground, Ifrit's right hand already shot forward, a blast of Fire roaring out at the cadet. The GF allowed its magical attack to distract Monty long enough for the fire god to land on the floor of the Fire Cavern.

Yeah. Keep in mind that you have to fight this battle yourself. I can only heal you.
He took a step back, signifying his lack of participation, and held Revolver ready over his right shoulder.

Monty sheilds his face but lets the magic hit him. His strenght drops and he slumps to the ground. With his head in his hands he focuses on the pain and fear, using it to inspire strength in him. A yelow energy slowly starts to build around him.

Narrowing his eyes, Squall pulled a potion out of his pouch, ready to use it just in case the kid needed it.
Fighting at critical level was stupid, if you could avoid it...

(That was dumb.)
Ifrit "laughed" at the Cadet. The avatar simply lifted it's leg, and started to bring it's foot down on the Cadet. It didn't bring it's foot down too hard, though. Just enough to knock Monty out and/or screw up his spine a little.

Monty felt the power well inside him just as the foot was comming down on him. He quickly rolled fowards so that he ended up behind Ifrit. HE then sprang into a backflip, flinging the blade of his weapon into ifrits back and landing on Ifrits shoulders. He then began hacking at the avatars back wildly.

Since Monty couldn't do a damn thing about it, Ifrit reached up and grabbed Monty. It brought the Cadet to it's face, both arms in it's grip so he couldn't fight back, and stared at him coldly. Ifrit hurled Monty to the ground. Monty was ********. Period. The Cadet would definalty be out cold for a few days after he landed.
(That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen anyone do against a Guardian Force Boss.)

-Rinoa whistles a small tune to herself, her march turning into an absent-minded meander as she lets her mind wander. She is shaken out of her reverie, however, by a roar from inside the cave which shakes the ground she walks on. Her eyes widen and she covers her face to hide a stupid grin. That Ifrit sure doesn't mess around! She pulls a small radio out of her breast pocket and gives a call to the B-garden medics in regards to one Monty Reonelle who apparently failed his trial exam.-
(and with this I'm giving it a rest- time to go home! You guys can watch me get my a** handed to me tomorrow. Or... WILL I???? ;D )

-She watches the SeeD medics hustle into the cave with warding junctions to keep monsters off them and their charge-to-be, and sits on the ground waiting for Squall, polishing her Valkyrie with the sleeve of her uniform. A few minutes later, they're hustling back out with a bloody, clothed lump being carried between them on a stretcher, and she shuts one eye and shudders. She watches them cram Monty into their meat wagon and drive off. Biting her lip with just a shadow of apprehension, Rinoa sets her weapon on the ground and hugs her knees. What if she isn't ready for this? What if she fails? She can't get too cocky here and expect the deity to cut her slack just because she used to be allied and even junctioned to him. But without her confidence, she'll be nowhere, and she'll be letting Squall down in a heartbeat, which is simply unacceptable. What's going to happen to Squall, having to watch her get hurt this way, even for the greater good? She remembers the time she gave herself up to the research facility near Esthar, and the b***h Squall pitched back then, even though it was for his own, and her own, good at the time. She hopes he behaves today. She brought plenty of healies, protective measures, and preparations to whoop a**. She picks up her Valkyrie again and places her hand over the strange-looking slots in the chunks the blades connect to, drawing on her power inside to infuse the weapon's attack facets with it. After a few seconds, two of the slots glow a faint blue: they now bear the power of ice. She draws the same power to infuse the other slots with other spells such as Float and Esuna, and her special secret stash of Demi power. The other slots give off other hues of the same faint glow, and she checks them with a nod of approval. She leans against a rock, taking deep breaths to rest and gain her equilibrium and confidence as she waits for Squall. He may hate it, but she intends to protect them both before anything, as a convoluted measure to keep him from overreacting like she has a sneaky feeling he might if she gets hurt. She crosses her ankles and stares out across the plains, waiting.-

Squall followed a few minutes after the medics carrying Reonelle back toward the Garden, Revolver held still over his right shoulder. He watched them drive off for a few seconds, then turned his attention over to Rinoa, sitting there in that same old manner of hers.
He half-smirked, then buried it again.

-She jumps a couple feet off the ground, startled from her reveries by Squall's voice. She covers it up by turning to him with a bright smile and stands, gripping her Valkyrie almost nervously over her left hand, brushing off her uniform with her right. She checks herself, her supplies, her inner resources, and her guardian junction all once more before looking up to Squall and nodding confidently.-
As ready as I'll ever be, Instructor.

Back in his "home", Ifrit was laughing his a** off at how easily that was. Monty was probably the first Cadet to ever lose against an Ifrit.
