Lirona's Journal Dear Journal,
Aludra is a douche. That is all.
Okay, no it's not. I wish it was, but it's not. The reason Aludra is a douche is because he can't pick a side. One moment he's gay, then he's straight, and the entire world has to know when precisely he decides to switch and conform to meet his needs. Or else he freaks out like a child. And it would be impossible to ask him to commit; he is a Greed kid, after all, and they do NEED everything. Then, when he does something to upset me, such as, I don't know, attacking my boyfriend, he can't just apologize like a normal person. NO, of course not, it has to be this dramatic, drawn-out mess. He has to completely over-compensate, buy only the most expensive things and think that's an adequate substitute for actually understanding the issue or making an effort to change. Oh, and LEST WE FORGET, he also has to carve himself up as 'punishment'. Because watching him bleed to death will obviously make me happy. DUH.
Sorry for filling you with spite, Journal. Maybe I should be more sympathetic to his issues, but I just can't be right now. That boy is sucking the sympathy out of me.
Lirona.
And I don't know where to put that stupid orb. Grrrrr.

Aludra clutched his terribly put-together, hand-made doll tightly to his chest. Tears were pouring down his face and mingling with the blood dripping from various wounds that he'd inflicted while making the little doll, cuts that had been made with the pins and needles, though he made absolutely sure to keep from getting much of his blood on the ragdoll's skin. But that was just an attempt. And no one was perfect.
Especially not him.
He trembled at remembering the event only a few weeks before, and then the week-or-moe before that. In one, Lira had hugged him, Lira had kissed him, Lira had even admitted that she was in love with him and accepted his feelings likewise. But then... then he'd been stupid. He'd taken that one moment way too far.
He couldn't help it! It had fueled his greed, that which he'd felt toward Lira for much of his life, and made it feel as though she actually belonged to him when she risked kissing him. He let out a choked sob as he shuffled down the hall, the lights all dim, everyone asleep as far as he was aware. He hoped that Ty had left already, for fear of what he would find otherwise. He shouldn't have taken that one meeting as a go-ahead to kiss Lira forcefully, against her will, in front of her boyfriend. Since then, or perhaps since a more recent event, he'd been locked in his room, slicing away at long-untouched skin with an equally neglected razor blade and slowly building a doll.
It was nothing special. After all, he'd made it. No less, it wasn't like the nice and beautiful things that he'd gotten her before, it was just a stupid, shitty cloth doll. It's legs and arms weren't the same length, he couldn't find any matching buttons for its eyes, and they were therefore different sizes. It was wearing also handmade clothing that was supposed to be removable, had Aludra not accidentally sewn his precious ribbon to it - the very same ribbon with the four feathers that had been tied around the halo he once had, also attached to the little doll. Around its neck was a pawn from his favourite chess set.
A shaking hand reached upward, the short teenager looking only more pathetic and meek with his hair down and disheveled, wearing nothing but his pajamas. After a moment, he closed his eyes tightly, the doll gripped in one hand, and knocked gently at the girl's door, heart threatening to burst from his chest as a result of the stupidity of this idea.
Lucky for Aludra, Lirona hadn't been having the most restful night either. The transgirl tossed and turned on her bed, unable to let her mind be at peace. She supposed it was anger, and sighed as she sat up in bed; this anger was tiring business.
But she couldn't help it. Ever since stupid ALUDRA had had the nerve to- to do that... THING, and in front of Ty no less, her skin had felt on fire every time she thought of him. Which was, of course, all the time, a fact that made the entire situation more infuriating. He just- God damn it, nothing gave him the right! For once she was trying to move on and be a normal person, and now this?! She sighed heavily, her equivalent of cursing, and buried her face in her hands.
Because she couldn't forget how, in a round-about manner of speaking, he DID have the right. It had only been a little more than a week since she and Aludra had practically confessed their feelings to each other; they'd even kissed. But at the same time, back then ALUDRA had told her to wait... She groaned. This was all too confusing!
Unfortunately for the Lust spawn, things were only going to get more confusing. At first she thought she'd imagined the light rap on her door, but curiosity spurred her on. Drawing her robe around her, afraid that it might be another kidnapper, she peeked around the door, only to see...
"A- Aludra...? Whuh... What are you doing up?" she asked numbly, blinking as she tried to make sense of this odd situation. Golden eyes widened as she noticed the drops of blood on his fingers, and a hand went to her mouth. "Wh-What happened? Aludra, what are you doing?" She couldn't help the edge that came into her voice. A part of her screamed at his sudden appearance, wanting more than anything for him to leave her alone! But at the same time...
The boy's face was dipped down as far as he could manage, all hidden behind his hair, while still being able to see his friend, for the sake of hiding the fresh cuts that covered his half-scaled skin. He trembled gently, stiffening when the door opened and holding the doll in both of his hands. He knew what she'd done to the rest of them, knew she'd thrown them away, broken them, fed up with his indecision. He didn't blame her in the least.
He didn't want to give her an answer, though. He was... he was alone now, too. That didn't help him at all, hadn't helped his kissing of that stupid girl, hadn't suddenly meant that she would be available just because he was. He had panicked then. He didn't understand how he could love two people. He wanted to stay with Aden... he loved the man so much... and yet he'd broken his heart. Because it was him. Of course, of course; how could anyone be happy when Aludra By'arre was involved.
The male stayed quiet in regards to the question and he simply thrust the doll out towards her, directly in front of him in both hands. "Here. Pl-please don't thr-row it aw-way..." he stammered awkwardly, rough and tear-stained voice cracking in the middle of it. As soon as it left his hands, he turned and began to head back down the hallway, shoulders shaking with the sobs that he refused to express.
Lira simply stared at Aludra, unable to wrap her mind around this sudden... regression of character. This wasn't like the man that Aludra had become at all. The Aludra that stood in front of her was more like the poor boy he'd been in his younger years; all broken and confused. Conveniently for Aludra, this just happened to be the part of him that tugged at Lira's heartstrings the most, although at this point it just kept her from slamming the door in his face.
She started and stared dumbly at the doll, looking in confusion up at the boy as she took it out of reflex. His words made her heart quiver, and she bit her lip to keep it from trembling. Of course he must have known that she wasn't exactly keeping his gifts, but to hear him plead like that... She inspected the doll, if only to have something to attach her reeling mind to, and found it painfully adorable. A small coo, sad and low, came from her lips as she turned the pitiful thing over; the amount of effort Aludra had put into this was so much that she could practically feel it. It was almost enough to make her cry.
When she looked up again, Aludra was halfway down the hall. Startled, she hesitated only a second before rushing down the hall after him, catching his hand as he walked. "Wait," she whispered, wary of the other people sleeping. A hint of a sob tinted her voice as she repeated the plea. "Wait."
Without knowing what she was doing, Lira wrapped her arms around the depressed male, Jake clinging reverently to the doll as she smiled sadly into the crook of his neck. "Shhh, Aludra. It's okay, I won't throw it away." She retracted slightly, taking the precious thing into her hands as she spoke. "It's... It's wonderful. I love it." She shot him a glowing smile. "Really."
Aludra completely froze when he felt Lira's hand close around his, obviously having either ignored or not noticed her footsteps hurrying behind him. He felt a cold shock crawl up his spine as goosebumps erupted down his arms, heart pounding ferociously in his chest, the sound of wings filling his ears and overlying anything that fell from Lira's voice.
A whimper fell past his lips when he was turned around and he retorted by slamming his teeth through his lower lip without hesitation. No was he was going to cry in front of Lira. But he was already crying... then he wasn't going to sob. The spawn wasn't going to make a single, upset noise in front of the woman that he'd fallen so deeply in love with, and that was the final word on the matter.
No, wait, that smile was the final word. That beautiful smile, so bright, and directed, for the first time in what felt like an eternity, on him. The tears spilled over once again, stinging and burning the cuts on his face as the open wounds drank in that salty liquid. With that, his arms were thrown around the girl's shoulders, feeling oddly deterred by the new fleshy growths that made up her chest, not accustomed to how slim her shoulders had become. What had changed...?
Yet that was far from the first thing on his mind as he buried his face into her shoulder, gently taking in a mouthful of her pajamas shoulder to muffle the sounds before he started sobbing pitifully, entire frame shaking against his childhood friend. He was so alone without Aden, without any true friends. He had no Lira. His sister was gone, with a family to care for. He was so alone... so alone...
And Lirona Lorcalle was the only thing in his world that mattered anymore.
Lirona smoothly let Aludra into her arms, shushing the teenager quietly as he cried. She was too tired to pretend that she was mad at him anymore when that was so obviously not true, just like it wasn't true that she was THAT interested in Tykier. Even if they had once held some truth in them, by now they had been reduced to just necessary lies. This moment, right now, was the truth.
The pair stood their for what felt like forever, Lirona quietly trying to take all of Aludra's pain as he cried on her shoulder. Jake even tried in his clumsy way to help, wrapping around Aludra's back gently and petting him as best he could. However, she knew that they could not stay there for long and, as much as she loved him, NOTHING could ruin this moment more than either of her parents finding them. So, with the gentlest of hands, Lira edged Aludra's face away from her shoulder, smiling and stroking his cheek gently before she took hold of his hand. "C'mon," she muttered into the darkness, leading him to her room.
Once they were there, Lira sat Aludra down on her bed, making sure that she placed the adorable doll on her desk in front of him. She didn't want him panicking and thinking that she had lied to him. That done, she quickly moved to sit by him, hand going instinctively back to his, as if they'd never been apart. With a worried expression, she pushed his bangs away with her other hand, a low gasp coming forth at the sight of the scars that covered his beautiful face. "Aludra... Oh, 'Ludra, what did you do...?" she asked sadly, hand cupping his cheek as gently as it could. Oh, if she knew that being mean would break his heart so much, she'd never have done it!
Aludra could do nothing but try to cling tighter to his friend, his dearest love, the one he wanted to have and to hold for the rest of his life, no questions asked. Gender no longer mattered. He'd finally, finally gotten over that arrogant, self-centered portion of his personality. Trembling gently, he only clung tighter when she tried to pry him off. A quiet whimper passed from his lips as he dislodged his teeth from her clothing, wincing at the blood that had gotten onto her pretty, pretty nightgown.
But what she did made his movement better. She took him with her. She actually allowed him into her room without him having to sneak around awkwardly. He took her hand as though it was his tether to this earth and followed her quietly, taking a hesitant seat on the edge of bed and looking at the ground. Tri-coloured eyes raised slightly when the doll was moved, watching as the small thing was placed in a seated position on the desk, the way it was made to sit. That was why its legs didn't hang quite right.
The nearness of the one he'd finally truly realized was now truly female made Aludra almost uncomfortable. His tail flicked gently and he looked toward the ground, hand gripping her's tightly and relishing in the pinpricks that the contact caused. When his hair was moved away, revealing the scars that covered much more than just his face, he bit his lip, smiling ruefully. "I broke up with Aden." Well, it was what he did.
Aludra's answer to her question almost made Lira sob, one hand going to her mouth and eyes shining sorrowful sympathy. She couldn't shake the feeling that she had a central role in the dissolving of the only relationship that Aludra had actually enjoyed. And here she was, practically shoving her boyfriend in his face. Tears began to pour down her cheeks as she realized what precisely she'd done, and she shook her head, ignoring the hair that fell into her eyes. "I'm- I'm so sorry, 'Ludra..."
Unable to restrain herself, the girl threw her arms around the boy, biting into her lips to keep her sobs relatively silent. It has always killed her to see Aludra harm himself so, but it had been so long, she'd thought that perhaps he'd broken the habit. Apparently, the distinct opposite was true, and the fact that she hadn't been expecting this reaction ate away at Lira. God, what on Earth had possessed her to be so cruel to her fragile crush? She already knew that she could never bear to do it again.
After a minute or two, Lira had regained enough of herself to sit back up. Smiling through her tears, she wiped them away quickly, eyes looking deeply at Aludra's face. A shaky sigh attempted to clear her lungs, and her hand trembled as it stroked his cheek once again. "I-I could f-f-fix this, y'know," she rasped lightly. "A-At least it would h-he-help them heal faster..." Even as she spoke, her lips were drawing closer to that gorgeous olive skin, magical energy sparking out and working to mend the scars as they brushed against his cheek. Lira's heartbeat fluttered helplessly in her chest, dimly aware of the fact that she shouldn't be doing this.
Then again, she didn't really care.
Saying it out loud only made it that much more real. One hand raised shakily from his lap and pressed against his chest, where a sudden pain had shot through what he could only say was his heart. He winced further, fingers clasping into his shirt before the sobs broke from his lips. Hurt, painful sobs, knowing that it was all his fault that he'd ruined so many of his relationships. All of his relationships...
He didn't care who it was hugging him. Usually his thoughts of Aden were preferred with no other contact but the loving, sweet doctor whose heart he'd shattered and ground into the pavement. But he didn't have that man anymore. Lira was the only friend he had, and the only hope he had for comfort. He didn't hesitate when she threw her arms around him, wrapping his arms tightly around her as well, one hand winding into her hand and the other tightly secured around her slim waist.
When she moved to pull back, he shook his head, likely smearing blood across his crush's cheek. He wasn't going to let her out of his arms, at least not now, though he did listen to what the girl had to say. Aludra didn't understand quite what she meant, having never heard of her magical ability. The spawn's own maimed heart pounded at the feel of Lira's lips against his cheek, and he completely lost control. He turned his head and held fast the fingers in her hair, pressing his lips against her's, the magic making him tingle from the inside out as he simply held her there, too scared to even risk breathing.
Lira didn't mind being pulled back into Aludra's arms, even if it meant her cheeks got covered in blood. In actuality, having the boy tug her into an embrace had been part of Lira's dreams for quite a while now. Her heart beat quadruple-time in her chest as she felt the strong, warm arms around her. If not for the depressing circumstances, she would be jumping for joy.
But maybe that moment wasn't too far off. Not sensing Aludra's intentions, Lirona was caught completely off-guard when her lips met other lips and not flesh, golden eyes shooting wide open as her face went up in embarrassed flame. She- She was kissing him! HER, kissing, and BEING KISSED BY, him! There was a moment when the poor girl almost went into shock, dizzy from how happy she was. It was as if all of her childhood dreams (okay, dreams in general) had decided to come true on this one magical night. To someone like Lira, that wasn't an impossible option.
Her hands started trembling as she kissed Aludra back, hands cupping his face and then reaching around to embrace him. Her eyes slipped shut, each breath very unsteady as she pressed her lips hard against those of her love, a small tongue eventually finding the courage to poke out. Lira was unafraid tonight, and was ready to make the magic last as long as she could, for Aludra's sake as well as hers.
It was different this time. The first it was painful and awkward, completely unwelcome. The second time it had been long and gentle, fragile as though too much passion would destroy the illusion. The third was needy and desperate, to get as much into one minute as was possible. The fourth was one-sided once again, backwards this time. Finally, there was this. Their fifth kiss, but the first that felt completely right. It wasn't one-sided, it wasn't hidden or pretended as though in a dream. It wasn't timed, there was nowhere they needed to be, no one they needed to hide from. The night belonged to the both of the young teenagers, and that was all that mattered.
The magic added a strange effect. It made Aludra's insides flutter and flicker like he was filled with fireflies, though he was sure that that explanation made no sense outside of his brain. Both arms that were wrapped around the female tightened slightly, pulling her closer before adjusting slightly, honestly lifting Lira into his lap, not concerned about the height difference or the difficulties surrounding it as he kissed the girl deeply and sweetly, tail curling back and forth on the bed.
When Lirona's small tongue poked out experimentally, he gave a soft moan, matching the movement without a drop of hesitance, trembling slightly at the new level of intimacy that their little make-out session had attained, and wanting to make it so Lira wasn't the only one taking steps further. Slowly, he lowered the girl onto the bed, keeping their mouths together for each and every moment, before he was laying half on her side, one hand still in her hair, the other left to explore this new body of her's, fingers skimming over her sheer nightgown ever-so-gently.

Lirona's Journal Dear Journal,
OMG YOU WILL NEVER, NEVER, NEVER guess what happened to me last night!!! It was- Oh, God, it was the most amazing thing in the entire history of the entire universe ********. I could seriously cry. Because- Be-Because, b-because A-Aludra and I- Aludra and me, I mean we, WE, we... had sex.
And in case there was any doubt, it was AMAZING. [editor's note: Lira would likely go into graphic detail here, but we're gonna keep it PG-13 for all you young 'uns out there. ;D]
And it gets even better, if you can believe it ~ ♥♥ Because then, when I woke up, guess what? No he wasn't there, which would have been amazing I know but stick with me, but he did leave this SWEETEST note. Here, it went like this (approximately):
"Sorry I'm gone. Scared of your boyfriend. Ilu. ♥♥♥ Aludra."
ISN'T HE JUST DREAMY?! GOD, I'm so ******** lucky, I can barely take it. I had to paraphrase the note because I've spent so much time crinkling it and just holding it that it's pretty much unreadable now. But STILL. It's just- I- Aaaahhh... Aludra.... -siiiiiiigh- I am the happiest I've ever been right now ~
Lirona ~ ~ <33
Although I do need to break up with Ty. That... doesn't sound like fun. TT____TT

Nothing could calm Lirona’s firecracker nerves as she stared intently at the pregnancy test in her hands. White teeth gnawed at her bottom lip as she mentally counted down the seconds, Jake swaying to keep time. Her attention upon the small white stick was immense, and yet somehow she found her mind wandering, though not far. Why hadn’t she thought to do this before? It would have been obvious – should have been obvious – that there was a risk of pregnancy when her and Aludra had made love that night, and yet the notion had entirely skipped her mind, not just for the day afterward but for weeks. If forced to put the blame on something, Lira would have split it between her recently-changed gender (who worries about a uterus when they don’t have one) and the amount of passion the sex had filled her with. A soft smile played upon her lips; she was still surprised that she could walk straight the day afterward. So yes, somewhere between the bliss and the ignorance, the idea of a pregnancy had been completely surpassed. And now here she was, with a belly that was bigger than ever. She would never be so careless again.
But, she had rationalized when the concept had first appeared (after a good hour of freaking out), what was done, was done. There was nothing that she could change about their decisions that night, and certainly nothing she would want to take back. She would check to confirm her suspicions, and if they were true… She’d tell people first, Lira had decided. Aludra first, of course, and then Adhara, followed likely by Noah and then, only then, her father. And even then, she’d only do it when there was no other option. The mere idea of his monumental anger made her wince.
Oh, but there was little time for wincing now; time was up! Lira’s golden eyes narrowed hawk-like on the indicator, and didn’t blink as two pink lines appeared, with peculiar simplicity given the event they foretold. Her breath caught in her throat, and for a long moment she couldn’t believe it. She… was pregnant… with Aludra’s… baby? She gulped and sat a little heavily on her bed, replaying the thought in her head. She was pregnant with Aludra’s baby. She was pregnant with Aludra’s baby. SHE was pregnant with Aludra’s baby! A laugh began to creep hesitantly out of her throat, as if it was afraid it was being tricked. She was… She was… She…
Her smile broadened until her whole face glowed, and she laid a reverent hand on her stomach. Although the unexpected nature of the child had thrown her off at first, Lira slowly began to realize that her dreams were starting to come true. She was going out with Aludra, and they did have sex, and she was pregnant! This was what she had wanted more than anything since… since… forever! Her laugh grew deeper and warmer until it began to overwhelm, sending tears running down her cheeks. This… This was amazing and amazing only. A miracle, disguised as a surprise.
Lirona couldn’t have stopped smiling if she had tried.

A protective hand was laid over Lirona's evident belly as she walked through the house softly, not wanting to wake the other residents. Odd, she mused as she tiptoed, how much more of her activity had become nocturnal as of late. Though of course, her thoughts added with a grin, that was only because of one certain person. Lira couldn't keep a wistful sigh slipping from her lips as she crept, Jake stroking the belly protectively. Things had been going so amazingly as of recently, it was impossible for her not to be optimistic about what she was going to do, even though common sense said she shouldn't get her hopes up. But after spying Aludra with his own daughter, Lira had little reason to suspect that her boyfriend would be against this. Surprised, sure, but not completely opposing.
Drawing breath once again, her clenched fist hovered above Aludra's door before knocking three times, firmer than Lira had expected. Her voice had a hint of tremble as she whispered through the wood. "Aludra...? It's me. C-Can I come in?"
It was that same daughter that has crossed Lirona's mind who was snuggled up against Aludra's bare chest. One of the young male's patchwork arms was wrapped around the small, sleepy girl, and a fantasy book entitled 'The Lives of Christopher Chant' lay discarded, one of his thumbs so happening to hold his place. It was rare to see the humility spawn, usually so careful and plan-oriented, caught in such an innocently unplanned scenario.
The three knocks were hard enough to rouse him from his drowsy haze, though not enough to actually wake him. Rather, he mumbled as loudly as he could muster, "C'm in!" As soon as the effort had been exerted, he fell immediately back into his dream, a perplexing place that had something to do with a gossamer bridge and a very pretty young woman...
Lirona came in with a smile when she was given permission, and couldn't help but coo quietly at the sight before her. Not to mention the fact that it strengthened her resolve to see such an adorable, parental scene unfold before her. Her hand stayed on her stomach as she walked forward, reaching with a yawn to brush a stray bit of hair out of her love's face. Ooh, that Drowsy Diameter stuff was serious business; she had to get out of here before she succumbed as well.
Rather than think up a polite method and waste time, the woman chose instead to lean down and s l o w l y lick up Aludra's pointed ear, smiling a little sleepily when he responded. "Sorry. I... I have to talk to you about something. Something urgent. So can we go somewhere less - aaaaaaaah - sleepy?" she asked with a smile, rubbing at her eyes.
Aludra wandered through his dream in that awkward, inexplicable way that one typically wanders through dreams. The feeling of his lover's fingertips brushing over his forehead did little to rouse the magically afflicted hybrid. He shifted slightly in his sleep, strong arms tugging his baby girl a bit closer, though no unkindly.
The feeling of Lirona's tongue, however, was a far cry from her fingertips. The young man's head tipped back and a soft, surprisingly pitiful moan slipped from his mouth. Well, that certainly got him up, and in more ways than he'd anticipated. Blinking tri-coloured eyes, he finally roused himself, looking between Lira and his daughter blearily before finally putting two and two together. Nodding a couple times, he slipped himself out of bed. The light child was easily lifted out of bed, cradled close in Aludra's arms. An easy smile played across his lips as he swayed the girl across the room, laying a gentle kiss to her forehead before placing her gently in her crib.
Pressing a 'shh' finger to his lips, he made sure to keep the both of them quiet as they slipped out of the room. Apparently he was still tired enough to believe that the sweet little girl back in his room would ever awaken at anything quieter than a jet taking off. He linked his fingers with Lirona's free hand and led her into the hallway, making the door close as quietly as possible. He kept his hand around Lira's without hesitation, smiling at the female sweetly. "'Lo, Lira. What'd we need to talk about?"
Lirona giggled behind her hand at Aludra's reaction, a light blush on her face when her eyes drifted to his nethers. But she didn't want to embarrass him right now, so she pretended she didn't notice, watching with adoring eyes as Aludra put his baby girl to bed. He was such a good father... Her heart began skipping beats when their fingers intertwined, and she half-closed her eyes as they walked down the hall, focusing on her wording. This was a clumsy thing to explain in the best of circumstances, and when her audience was the most eloquent person she knew... She sighed and stopped him. Best to get it over with.
"Um..." she began with a hesitant smile, a little distracted by the sight of their hands linked, but managed to continue stronger. "W-We need to talk about... this," she said, taking Aludra's hand and placing it on her belly. "I-I don't know if you've noticed, but I've, um, gotten a bit bigger recently, and- and that's because, well... I'm- I'm pregnant. A-After we, um, y'know..." Lira trailed off a bit here, glowing red and gesturing vaguely with her hand. Why was that subject only embarrassing around Aludra? "Well, did that, um, well, this happened." She ended with an openly-hopeful smile, praying that she'd done the right thing. Seconds turned into decades as she waited for his response.
As innocent and adorably naive as Aludra always had been, added to the fact that he'd just been awakened from his sleep, he certainly wasn't about to pick up on anything vague. So when his hand was pressed against his lover's stomach, he looked a bit confused, pressing gently at a few different areas and noticing that she was, as she claimed, gotten bigger. Not as though he'd noticed anytime recently, not even when viewing the woman in a much... clearer light.
The news hit him like a ton of bricks. Immediately, he was snapped out of the loving haze that had overtaken him upon his love's arrival. The tip of his tail curled between his ankles and he stared blankly at the female's enlarged stomach. His shoulders shook and he tried to regain a composure that he already knew he had lost. He tried to tell himself that it would be fine - he could be a father, he already knew what that was like, he was a good Daddy, Demetre loved him. But... but she wasn't his. She wasn't really his, not like... not like...
"Y-you're..." he stammered awkwardly, knowing that he was completely and totally over thinking everything. Laughing to himself, he fell to his knees, eyes filling very suddenly with tears as he gently pressed both of his hands against her stomach. He laughed and shook his head, hugging her around the waist and nuzzling softly against her extended stomach. "I- sorry. If I scared, I didn't- I mean, I- I don't really know how to react. A-and if I think about it, I'll panic. So I won't. I'll be happy. Just happy."
At first, Lirona's heart plummeted. Aludra didn't look happy; hell, he didn't look pleased at all. He looked terrified at best, and completely repulsed at worst. Her eyes grew wide as she realized what a mistake she might have made, and her shoulders began to tremble in time to Aludra's as she took half a step back. She couldn't believe it; could he really not want this? That is, she understood that it was a bit of a surprise, but was it really just not an option. Her lip began to quiver as the unwanted image of her raising this child alone, it growing up within an arm's reach of its father and yet never being accepted by him. That couldn't happen, it couldn't, it-!
Aludra fell to his knees then, and Lirona's fears were swept away as swiftly as they had appeared. A choking, tear-filled laugh skipped through the air, and she gently laid her hands in Aludra's hair, combing through the soft locks. Even though his sentences were choppy, she completely understood the emotion they held, as it was what she had felt when she'd first found out. Jake hugged Aludra around the shoulders strongly, freeing Lira's hand to wipe away at unnecessary tears. "N-No, it's fine. You did have me a little scared there, but- yeah..." She smiled warmly at her lover, and let the warmth of the moment watch over them before letting out a hesitant and probably needless question.
"So... It is okay, right?"
[to mebbe be continued. spoiler: it's okay.]

Lirona's Journal Dear Journal,
So, in case you hadn't noticed yet, I am pregnant. Like, very pregnant. I'm due in a few weeks, and I am so excited that it's hard for me to go to sleep. Of course, that's partially the baby's fault, but you can't blame the little cutie for kicking, now can you? ♥ I mean, I'm not going to sleep anyway, given my excitement and my hunger, so it's kind of nice to know that someone's up with me. Even if it's just a little baby in my tummy.
There really isn't anything more to report, unfortunately. Aludra has been a spectacularly cute baby-daddy, and has done all that he can to learn how to be a responsible daddy for his little baby, which I just find adorable. A little odd that he's doing this for our baby-baby and not Demetre, but I suppose that he has more time to prepare (and obsess and freak out like a cutie! ♥) for this baby than Demetre, who just kind of happened. He's been very caring and sweet to me all this time, and I'm so happy that he's ready to help me raise our child. Even though he was a little scared at first - and so was I! - now he's ready to be a wonderful papa to our little baby. And I'm ready to be a wonderful mama, or at least I hope so!
Thankfully, Noah and Daddy have been nice and supportive too. Noah was pretty much ready to deal with this right off the bat, which I think makes sense considering Adhi was a surprise mama too, so he must be used to it by now. But of course, like the Daddy he was, Daddy had to freak out and get unnecessarily mad at Aludra for 'knocking me up', as he meanly put it. But then I talked to him and Noah talked to him and Adhi talked to him and Aludra avoided him at all costs, so now he's just cute and overprotective and excited about baby like everyone else. He keeps on asking me if I need anything or if the baby's kicked yet today, and I'm happy that he's so worried for my sake. ♥
In conclusion, everyone in the house is ready for baby to happen, and I'm the most ready of all! Only a few more weeks, only a few more weeks! Oh my goodness, I'm so happy and excited! I'll let you know how the baby is when he comes, Journal!
Baby Mama Lirona ♥♥♥

Aludra was completely unconscious, fast asleep in his bed, daughter snoozing away in her crib. That was the most wonderful thing about that baby girl of his; she was one of the only children that he’d ever known that slept through the entire night. That, and he was one of the only parents he’d ever known who also got to sleep through the entire night, though with the birth of his first son, he was expecting all of that to change. After all, he wasn’t expecting his first baby to be perfect. He was just… expecting the boy to be just that: A baby boy.
Then it came to the matter of his own fatherhood, however, as well as what seemed to be a deteriorating mental status. He couldn’t speak in calm, complete sentences without stammering, and jumped at almost every sound louder than the drop of a pin. He was worried about that, after what had happened, that something was going to set him off, make him do something that he could never forgive himself for…
But… that was silly. He was going to be fine.
Everything was going to be fine…
Everything was going to be fine. Lira could easily say that she had never been happier in her lifetime. She was with Aludra, the boy she had adored ever since she had laid eyes on him, and he would readily admit that he loved her just as much as she loved him. Just thinking about that sent warm wiggles down her spine and a smile blooming on her face. But not only did he love her, their child was due so very, very, very soon. At this very moment as she crept softly from her room to his, said baby was wriggling away gently, bumping up against her belly. Lira had to suppress a happy giggle as she laid a hand upon her stomach, stroking the baby soothingly. Everything was just so perfect…
And in such a glorious state of happiness, why would she want to be away from her loving boyfriend? Hence her reason for sneaking into his room at night, cooing softly at his bundled-up sleeping position. He and his daughter looked exactly alike… maybe he and his son would look so similar too. Lira beamed to herself as she crept into bed beside him, looping her arms gently around his waist and kissing his shoulder blades softly. He had been so stammery and twitchy after his ordeal, she just wanted to comfort all of his pain away. Her poor tragic heart-throb…
As though it was a sixth sense, Aludra could already feel the pain that he was going to be experiencing for longer than he was ready to guess at, tearing at his heart and squeezing his lungs. He didn’t understand it, however, didn’t enjoy it. His body, so tense and wound like a top, could only assume the worst. His mind, tortured by the drugs that had coursed through it and ruined him so, convinced him that nothing would be worse than the pain that he’d experienced, and that nothing could be any worse than experiencing it again. The person behind him could only be one from the nightmares running through his mind.
It was all that he could see as the snarl fell past his lips.
It was all that he could see as he shoved his captor to the floor.
It was all he could do to promise himself that he would come out the victor this time. He wouldn’t be the victim again.
He wouldn’t be the victim again…
Nothing would have prepared Lira for Aludra’s sudden violent reaction. She was in such a relaxed state that the instant pain, seeming to come from a million places on her body, took her completely by surprise, so much so that it took her time to be able to scream. What had happened, what did she do wrong now…?
Life was a blur as she fell gracelessly to the floor, whimpering in shocked agony as her arm seemed to snap in two. Jake was flailing around aggressively, determined to protect them, but Aludra… Aludra was a beast. His ruthlessness was unmatched, especially by one who loved him. And that was all Lira could think about as she cowered, one hand over her head and the other over her precious child: he said he loved her. He had said the violence was done, that he had come to peace with their situation, that she didn’t repulse him anymore. Had that spontaneously changed in the night? Was her love for him still not enough…?
But then suddenly, everything changed. An uncomfortable wetness slipped between her legs, and her golden eyes shot open in a panic. Oh God, no, not now, it was too early, no, please, not now! But as the contractions came, it was clear her body had decided to get the baby out, now. Her whimpers became shrieks of horror as she felt her muscles start to contract, now not worried only for her but for her baby. Their beautiful baby… Somehow, she managed to meet Aludra’s eyes, that hellish red she had hoped to never see again, and cried out pleadingly, tinged with pain.
“Aludra, PLEASE! Stop, oh God, the baby, Aludra, please stop, the- AAAAHGOD THE BABY! Look what you’ve done to the baby!!”
Nothing registered to him. Nothing registered at all until those last words.
‘Look what you’ve done to the baby!!’
His hands dropped to his sides before coming to his mouth, eyes snapping wide open as the red leaked out of his eyes instantaneously. He shoved himself off of his abused and destroyed girlfriend, tripping over his own too-long tail as tears poured in rivers from his eyes. He shook his head silently, begging this to be a lie, begging this to be a dream, another one of his nightmares. Anything but real. He… he couldn’t have done this. He would never hurt his love. He… he would never… never hurt his baby… He… he couldn’t have…
The greed spawn didn’t even waste time getting to his feet, tripping hurriedly over his hands and knees to grab his cell phone off of the side table and dialing in the famous three-digit number as he grabbed on to the hand of Lirona’s unbroken arm tightly, rocking back and forth and crying hard as he did so. He mumbled to himself as the phone rang, too many times for his liking before someone finally picked up. “He-he-hello? We-we’re at t-two-two-f-four-f-five R-Rowes A-A-Avenue. M-m-my gi-girlfriend j-just went in-into pr-preterm l-l-labour. Sh-she’s h-hurt re-really b-b-b-ba-bad, t-too. Lo-looks like a br-broken a-arm, pro-probably fr-fractured ri-ribs… Y-yes, I ca-can stay o-on th-the line…
“Oh, L-Lirona… shh, s-shh, br-breathe, b-baby, just tr-try to bre-eathe…” he murmured pitifully in her ear as he tried to keep the tears out of his voice, phone wedged in his shoulder, one hand holding tightly to hers as the other one pet back her hair, sobs making the teenage spawn’s shoulders shake.
Not that she didn’t appreciate it, but Lirona didn’t notice when Aludra finally got off of her, and his panicking phone call only barely reached her ears. All her attention was on her aching stomach, her hands practically digging into it as she cried out in pain, eyes pleading silently with her baby. ‘No, baby, please, please stay inside for a little longer, we’re not ready for you yet out here, pretty baby, please…’
And then Aludra was suddenly beside her once again, and she pressed herself into him desperately. It didn’t matter what he had just done - she couldn’t even comprehend what he had done - what mattered was that he was here now. He was her Aludra, her gentle, protective boyfriend, and she needed him now, no matter what. Even if going through this was hell, it would be more than hell to go through it alone. She gasped in pain as she tried to breathe - that was what you had to do in these situations, breathe, she remembered! In and out, in and out… - and looked up at Aludra in pained confusion and need.
”Ah, oh God, Aludra, I- I can’t bre-ow!-eathe… Oh, Aludra, it- it hurts, it hurts, pleeease make- make it stop…” The poor girl clung to her lover, her life, her everything as best she could with an arm that would work and a Jake that rang with pain every other twitch, burying her face in his chest and crying tears of pure fright. It wasn’t supposed to happen like this, this wasn’t supposed to happen…
Aludra’s fear was unmatched as he watched his girlfriend squirm on his bedroom floor, body wracked with aching sobs. He didn’t want to think about what might come of this, but it was the only thing that his mind could lock onto. What his stupidity could cost the both of them, the things that could have been destroyed just because he couldn’t tell a dream from reality. It was… he couldn’t… he…
He hung onto Lira as she cried, petting her hair and whispering for her to breathe, that it was okay, that she would just have to breathe and everything would be okay. He told her how sorry he was. He told her that it would be alright, that the pain would go away, that the doctors would take the pain away. He promised against his own hope that everything would be okay. That they would both be fine and that… that the baby, he would be fine, too. That their entire pitiful, pained little family would be alright.
Aludra supposed that it was the commotion that awoke his daughter, but he could barely hear her quiet, demure little tears over the pained sobbing of his lover and the pathetic sobs that wracked his own body. The operator, the person on the phone, told him that the paramedics should be there. His tri-coloured eyes flicked to the window and he nodded, replying with a pained hiccough, “Th-they’re here… th-th-thank you…”
A kiss was laid to Lirona’s forehead, and Aludra shakily got to his feet. His entire form was trembling as he watched men pile out of the ambulance through the window. He watched as they made their way to the apartment, making his own slow way to the window. “Li-Li-Lira, I’m so-so-sorry. C-call m-m-me an i-idiot, c-call me a c-c-coward, c-call me wh-whatever y-you want… b-but I ca-ca-can’t f-face th-this… I c-c-can’t… I-I…” his voice descended into sobs, unable to finish what he was going to say as he slipped out the window and onto the fire escape. “I l-love y-y-you, L-Li-Lira. I lo-love C-C-Cop-peka, too, a-and De-Demet-tre. T-take g-g-good ca-care of th-them f-f-for me, a-a-a-alr-r-ri-ight…?”
Lira barely heard anything that was said until the siren of the ambulances whirl outside her window, a sound that was dimly recognized in her brain and made her weakly raise her head to look towards the door. The doctors… They would save the baby, their little Copeka, they would make sure that he was okay, they had to… The most wavering of smiles began to form on her face as she saw the men piling in, and her hand reached out to lock with Aludra’s. He’d done good, he’d saved the baby, everything was going to be okay…
And then everything was wrong. Aludra wasn’t there, Aludra was leaving, Aludra was going out the window! She cried out in sorrow and confusion, barely hearing his muttered and pitiful excuse. As she was lifted onto the stretcher, the panic and pain of her situation, coupled with the horrifying idea that she would face this alone broke something within the young woman. Her face contorted into a glare beyond ferocity, and she screamed towards the window at the retreating back of her lover. ”NO! No, damn it, Aludra, please, P-PLEASE come back here, get back here, don’t make me face this alone you despicable coward, I swear to God, I’ll- I’ll-“ She could only tremble in fury for a moment, then tears streamed down her face as she screeched. ”IF YOU EVER ACTUALLY LOVED ME, YOU SELFISH p***k, YOU’D GET BACK HERE AND FACE THIS LIKE A MAN! You stupid jackass, you jackass…” Anger spent, she collapsed back onto the stretcher, sobbing in tired hysterics as her stomach throbbed, every tremor a reminder of what Aludra had done, and what he didn’t do…
”What the ******** do you mean, I can’t see her! She’s my damn daughter, and I have every right to know what’s going on! What the- Get your hands off me, you little jackass!”
An EMT fell to the ground as Silas’ fist struck him across the face, and within moments he was at Lira’s side. ”Lira, honey, what’s going- Oh… Holy s**t…” He stared in panic at the blood coming from in between his daughter’s legs and he shook for a few moments before shouting with increasing panic. ”Noah… NOAH!” Tears began streaming down the young man’s face as he grabbed Lira’s hand, stroking her hair soothingly and trying to sound calm. ”Shh, it’s going to be al-alright, baby, everything’s going to be okay…”
Lira latched onto Silas’ hand when it appeared, barely noticing or caring who it was. She wept freely, only able to murmur the same thing over and over. ”Make him come back, Daddy, he ran away, make him come back…”

Prologue
Lirona Lorcalle was rushed to the hospital when she was forced into pre-term labor by the accidental outburst of her boyfriend, Aludra By'arre. While at first the paramedics headed for a general hospital, they quickly redirected towards the Facility when Silas Lorcalle, Lirona's foster father, explained her uncommon genetics (with many expletives and insults). When she arrived at the Facility, she was stabilized and given drugs meant to delay the pregnancy for as long as possible. They were partially successful, and Copeka Amadieu Lorcalle was born into the world on February th, approximately two weeks before schedule. Although he didn't have any obvious symptoms of complications or weaknesses, he was still held at the Facility for observation and treatment for two weeks. Lirona was discharged after a few days, and visited the Facility every day thereafter to check on her baby.
At home, Lirona's living arrangements required some major readjustment. Aludra couldn't be contacted, and although she was obviously willing to wait forever for him to return home, it was agreed that she had make preparations to move on. After some discussion within the family, it was agreed that Lirona would move in with Adhara By'arre, her sister, and Azubahiel Izevel, Adhara's girlfriend, along with Aludra's infant foster daughter Demetre. This arrangement was agreed upon mostly because of Adhara's virtue, Diligence, which would allow her to provide the twenty-four hour care that Copeka would likely require; his premature status meant that he would almost definitely be prone to sickness. It was also quietly agreed that the change of scenery would be beneficial to Lirona, who had grown lethargic and depressed at the disappearance of her boyfriend.
Therefore, a quick move was arranged. Lirona was to sleep on Adhara and Azubahiel's couch, while Demetre and (when he returned to them) Copeka would sleep in the previous room of Adelle By'arre, Adhara's daughter who had run away early last November. Although still horrifically worried about her suicidal boyfriend and depressed at his disappearance, Lirona began to brighten up as the days went on, particularly as Copeka's health proved itself to be manageable.
Our story picks up again when Copeka is returned to Lirona, and she is allowed to take her baby son home for the first time.

Lirona's Journal Dear Journal,
Oh thank God... My baby boy is finally home. I can actually hold him in my arms, brush his hair and his wings, kiss him on the forehead, tell him how much I love him... I can feel his cute little fingers grab onto mine when I tickle him, I can feel his soft skin against my cheek. Oh, my sweet baby 'Peka... You'll never know how much I love you...
Yes, today I was finally able to go to the Facility and bring my baby boy back with me. The doctors said that he'll be more prone to getting sick, especially respatory diseases, but then again, we already planned for that when I moved in with Adhi. And he's so beautiful, Journal, you can't possibly imagine. He has gorgeous mottled skin like Jake, and the most adorable little nubbin tail. I can't resist playing with it every few minutes, it's so cute how he wiggles and grumbles! And he has tiny little golden wings, just like an angel, and it looks like he'll be growing horns when he gets older. And Journal, you should see his eyes! Deep gold with a thin line of red around the edges... He's perfect, he's absolutely perfect, in every way. He's already such a little trooper, with how he... he came into the world, but nevertheless I hate to put him down. It was only a few minutes ago that Adhi convinced me to let him rest - and me too; I haven't slept for... almost two days, I think. Bad of me, I know, but I'm just too happy... My baby boy is home.
Suddenly it seems like everything is a little bit better. I've been so depressed and worried these last few days, and although everyone tells me I have good reason to be, it still isn't a fun place to be. But now that my baby's home, I think I'm starting to get better. I mean, I still... It's still so lonely going to sleep without knowing Aludra is somewhere nearby, but... I'm smiling more. That's good news, right?
But I'm still worried. I've been calling him every day, telling him that I'm not furious with him, that our baby is alive and well and beautiful, but... I can't reach him. Daddy told me to stop trying, and for once I think I might take his advice. I refuse to think about the possibility that Aludra... punished himself too fiercely, but I can understand that if he doesn't want to come back, he's not coming back. I just want to let him know that his son's alive... And even though it tears me apart to think about, as well as poor baby Demetre, I'm beginning to see the possibility of life without him. With Adhi and 'Zuba and the rest of my family, I'm growing stronger; maybe I can grow strong enough to take care of this family without him.
Tentatively, but with a growing hope, Lirona Lorcalle, Mother. ♥

Silas' Journal If Aludra ever comes near my daughter again, I'm gonna kill him. And the thing is, I don't think anyone would complain. Not even Lira. I mean, she's still really torn up about him just up and leaving her, and I can't blame her. Douchebag just ******** left her in her time of need, and for what? To heal his own pathetic guilt. I mean, yes, he should feel guilty for what he did, but he should also, oh I don't know, own up and make sure that my baby and HIS baby were alright. But no, his own guilt is more important than his budding family, what was I thinking ?! Stupid jackass...
So, yes, I'm going to freaking kill him if he ever, EVER, tries to come near my baby or my grandbaby again. He already made his choice when he left, and that's not a decision he can just take back. As far as I'm concerned, he is no longer a part of this family. I know Noah agrees with me, and even though it'll kill Lira, I believe that she can learn how to live without him. That was half of our reasoning behind sending her to live with Adhi; we could tell that being in this house was depressing her. It means that we don't get to see her or Copeka as often as we want, but it's obvious that it's doing her good. The fact that she got her baby back from the Facility today only made her moods lighten even more. So, even though I know I sound like I'm being insensitive when I say that I think she'll get over it, I honestly mean it. My baby girl is stronger than she looks.
In conclusion, I'm glad that this terrible chapter of our lives is coming to a close. Hopefully now we can all try to move on. I'm sure that baby Copeka will help us all in doing that. He's too adorable to be angry around, even for me.
Silas

Bubbo Machine Genius Summary; Copeka says his first word! ♥ In the room that was previously-Adelle's-but-now-belonged-to-three-babies, there was a corner that was practically made of pillows. It had a securely fastened base quilt and pillows all around. On either side were little latches that a small fence would hook onto, making a little corner playpen for the kids to play in if none of the parents had interest in playing with them, or had other things to occupy their time. Currently, that seemed to be the case, as Lirona worked her way down a contact sheet of various people who were willing to train her to do certain jobs that could be done from home; something necessary for the new single mother.
Copeka was propped up, having only recently learned how to hold up his own head, against a little pillow seat, a small bubble maker sitting in front of him and spilling many little bubbles into the air. His older, sleepier sister, Demetre, was seated beside him. The young girl had only recently started learning how to speak, and seemed very enthusiastic about talking as much as she possibly could. Reaching out, she popped a few of the bubbles with the tip of a finger, icy blue eyes only half open. "Bubbo!!"
Lirona giggled to herself as she waited on hold for what felt like the billionth time, unable to resist the adorable actions of her two young children. She reached over and let Jake stroke Demetre's hair gently, smiling at the cute sleepy girl. "That's right, Demetre baby. Bubbles! Pretty, huh?" Unable to stay away from her son for any length of time, she put on the speaker-phone and went over to tickle her son's tummy from over the fence. "Do you like the pretty bubbles, baby 'Peka? Can you say 'bubble'? Bubble! Oh, dang!" She darted back over to the phone as a human being finally answered, and so diverted her attention away from her children for a few moments.
At the tickles, Copeka squealed happily, giggling like the cute little boy that he was and kicking his legs, leaning back against the fluffy pillow that was set up behind him. His little wings fluttered, tail flicking around happily as well. His big golden eyes followed his Mama when she went to the other side of the room before flicking over to the little brunette, who was much more talented at sitting upright by herself, and was currently sitting on her knees in one of her many dresses.
"Bubbo, 'Peka!" Demetre cooed gently, tapping at the little boy's nose and then poking at another of the bubbles. Groaning softly, his tail wriggling with the effort, he tried to lean forward to the bubbles, managing to reach just one of them. It popped against his finger and he squealed, clapping his hands together joyfully. Demetre giggled as well, walking over on her knees to push the bubble maker a little closer, making it easier for him to reach. "Bubbo!! Bubbo, 'Pekapeka!!"
Lirona smiled to herself quietly as she tried to listen to the man on the phone and not her cute babies, taking down information as she did so. "Mmhmm. Alright, thank you anyway. I'll be sure to give him a call. Mmhmm, okay, thanks again. You too, goodbye." With no sign of disappointment, she crossed off a name on her list, muttering to herself, "Not a million years, and, who's next?" As she dialed in the next number, she glanced over her shoulder and smiled down at her children. "Careful, Demmie dear, don't let them get in his eyes."
Demetre cast her pale blue gaze toward her mother and smiled sweetly, shaking her head, proud that she understood the previously-gibberish noises that came past her lips. "Nuh-uh, Mama!!" she replied happily, snuggling up in the pillows next to her brother, laying back and taking his hand, helping the littler one poke at the bubbles, popping them one-by-one, making him squeal and kick his legs every time that he successfully did so.
"Bubbo!" the little one gasped finally, swatting at a flock of the little soap bubbles and squealing gleefully when they all popped at the lightest touch. An overwhelmingly joyful smile split Demetre's face in two as she got to her feet, stumbling slightly before toddling to the edge of the little playpen, bouncing as she held onto the rim of it. "Mama, Mama!! 'Peka said bubbo!!"
Lirona had been in the middle of a call when Demetre called out happily, and she gasped when she heard the news. Without a second thought, she quickly said "I'msorrygottagocallyourightbackbye!" and hung up the phone, rushing over to grin excitedly at her baby boy. "Oh my God, really? 'Peka, 'Peka, what's this?" She poked at a bubble by his face. "Is that a bubble, 'Peka baby?"
Copeka giggled joyfully when his mother ran back toward them, awkwardly sitting himself upright, fluttering his little wings like doing so would help him sit up. Gasping again at the bubbled, he swatted at some more of them, enjoying the way he could make an entire group of them pop at the same time. His nub of a tail wriggled around, wagging like the tail of a puppy, a smile on the sickly little boy's face. "Bubbo! Bubbo!!"
Demetre bounced happily before practically running back, crashing to her knees like the reckless toddler that she was growing into. She clapped her hands, applauding the baby who was already speaking after having been alive for only a few weeks; much faster than she'd been able to learn, especially with all of her sleeping. "See Mama!! Bubbo!! 'Peka is smart. Bet 'Peka will be a gee-nee-us, huh?!"
Lirona squealed in complete joy when Copeka said his word, his adorable baby talk first word, and reached out to cuddle him deeply, rubbing her cheek against his affectionately. She gasped and chuckled when Demetre fell over, but reached out to gather her up in her arms as well. "Yes, baby 'Peka is so smart, aren't you cute baby boy? And he'll definitely be a genius, little princess sweetie." She kissed both of their heads tenderly, phone calls forgotten as she cuddled up by the bubble machine, popping and giggling with her two cute children, angels both.

Stand-In Daddy Summary; Copeka takes his first steps and Luthor receives a little parenting training! ♥ Lira was slightly restless as she cuddled Copeka on the couch, eyes bouncing incessantly between the television ( playing something of little consequence ) and the door. She had been like this all day, waiting for Luthor to arrive. She had sent out the invitation a few days ago, having no other and more convenient way to contact him, and had spent the day constantly worrying and wondering. Did he get the invitation? Would he actually come? What if he wasn't able to get away from the Facility? All these worries buzzed around her head as she sat and stressed, cuddling her baby.It had taken some time to get away, not because he was really a needed man at the Labs but because he spent certain days in the park, making deals with people who came by. It was his way of strengthening himself and his magic which he was always careful with, not wanting to use it for any dark reasons that might cause it to become tainted like Vampy's magic was. He gave a bit of a smile as he approached the house, determined not to worry about such things today so that he could instead enjoy the fact that he was being invited back after the shower. It had been fun if a little to crowded for his liking. He wasn't really good with crowds of spawn but in small groups they were alright. He paused as he reached the door, starred at it for a moment, then lifted a hand to knock. His wings set to fluttering as he awaited an answer, hoping that she would be home today since he'd gotten the invitation a couple days ago. When she heard the knock, Lira practically vaulted off of the couch, or at least as much as she could with her precious infant in her arms. She opened the door with a grin, quickly ushering the pretty spawn in. "Luthor! I'm glad you were able to make it. I was a little nervous, if you couldn't tell..." She giggled self-consciously, then gestured for him to have a seat anywhere.
"So, um, I don't know if you got this from the invite or not, but uh..." Lira trailed off a little as she looked at the powerful young man, mind getting sidetracked by his pretty hair and pretty eyes and pretty face... She shook herself slightly and smiled. "Sorry. I'm a little out of it. Anyway, what I was saying was that, uh, I was wondering if you would mind playing with Copeka a little bit. Not, like, a babysitter - I know that you can't always get away - but as, well..." She glanced at the floor, fidgeting with her baby's hair and trying to hide her blush. "As a kind of daddy...?"Luthor looked at Lira as the door opened and he gave a smile, "Sorry about being late, I had a some appointments to keep." He said, patting the pouch that hung around his neck that carried all of the memory gems in it that he collected during his time out today. He had made two deals, small ones only, so while the gems weren't the most powerful that resulted from them they were still a boost to his power even so. He stepped inside and moved to sit down on the couch where the patience and lust spawn bade him to sit. "A little out of it?" He asked, wings giving a little fluttering, "Are you feeling alright?" He wondered if maybe she were tired perhaps? It might come along with being a parent, he couldn't say for certain since he hadn't been around little ones to much aside from when he crossed paths with the younger spawn which was a rather rare occasion, "Playing with him? Naw I wouldn't mind at..." He trailed off as she said helping out not as a babysitter but a kind of daddy. He blinked a couple times, opened his mouth, and then closed it again. He found himself about to ask where the actual father was and then decided that it wasn't really his business, was it? After all his own Dad had raised him singlehandedly since the 'blood donor' as he called him, wanted nothing to do with raising a kid. Luthor was far different though, "I don't mind lending a hand if your in need of a nap, I mean... I have been wanting to learn more about little ones." He flushed slightly as he glanced at Copeka, "Ciaran and I, we have talked about perhaps having a family one day." He murmured, wings giving a rapid flutter. Lirona smiled and gestured dismissively at Luthor's question of her health, quietly swooning over his concerns. "No, I'm alright, don't worry. Just a little tired; baby and all." She grinned reassuringly and stroked Copeka's head. In honesty, she really had little to complain about; after all, Adhara was the one spending nights up caring for Copeka when she needed her sleep. Most mothers didn't have that luxury, and she was going to be bratty and complain.
She winced at Luthor's startled reaction to her request, but she couldn't really blame him. It's not like it was the most casual request in the world. Lira tried to resist jumping down his throat with explanations and excuses, letting the pretty young man mull it over. If he couldn't... Well, he couldn't, and she'd survive with that.
When he answered yes, Lira couldn't resist squeaking happily and hugging on Copeka. Thank goodness! She blushed and readjusted her hair, glancing away. "Sorry. I just- I'm really happy, as you can probably tell." She giggled again, then looked towards Copeka lovingly. "I just... feel bad because he doesn't have a daddy figure in his life and I, well, feel that's important. And I'm not, y'know, asking you to commit to anything serious," she added quickly with a worried glance at the young man. "E-Especially if you want to have your own family. I mean, he likes you, and I know that nothing bad will happen when you're with him so..." She beamed. "You're the best candidate. Is- Is that alright?" Luthor was a little surprised to hear that he was the best candidate, finding it a little shocking... but then again that was likely because he worried so much about who he was related to so he often worried that he was cursed to be as bad as 'that guy' and yet here she was saying that he was the best candidate. His wings gave a little flutter and then he gave a smile, "Its kind of you to say such nice things about me despite... well who I am related to. Thank you Lira." He murmured, then gave her a smile. She really was a nice young woman wasn't she? A good friend that he most certainly wanted to keep and wanted to continue to hang out with so long as he was allowed to do so. Lirona blinked at Luthor's thanks, and waved her hand dismissively once again, a warm smile on her face. "Oh, of course, Luthor. You've been so nice to me, I can't help it. And..." She looked at him with a serious smile. "I really don't care who you're related to. I'm not going to think that you're evil because of your parents. I mean, my mother was a seductress who devoured her victims after... having her way with them." She blushed for a moment, nervous in her company. "Judging would be silly."
With an affectionate pat on the shoulder, Lirona stood up, gesturing for Luthor to do so as well. "So... If you're gonna be over a lot, do you want to see his room? I mean, it's Demetre's room too, and Adhi and 'Zuba's baby will sleep there too, so... Maybe it's just the baby room." She smiled, leading Luthor to the infant's room, chock-full of cribs and toys and pillows. With an affectionate kiss to his head, Lira set Copeka down near his corner full of pillows. "This is where all of his toys are and... stuff. It's really cozy here, huh 'Peka baby?" She tickled the child's tummy affectionately.
The sleepy little humility boy mumbled softly when he was set down, golden wings fluttering a bit. His gold eyes opened up and he looked up at the white-haired man curiously, a bleary little smile on his face. "Bubbo!" he squeaked happily at him, squealing when his mother started tickling his belly, falling against the pillows behind him and flailing his stubby little limbs in the air.Luthor gave a smile as he pushed to his feet, following along after Lira and found himself looking around the room, "The baby room? That sounds nice." He said, taking in everything that there was to see. It was quite a cute room with all of the toys and such he found himself thinking, so many things were needed by babies but he was sure that helping to take care of Copeka would help in learning what all he would need to have when the day arrived that he would have a little one of his own to tend too. His wings gave a flutter and he smiled, "Its a cute room." It would be fun to buy such things, to decorate such a room, but he couldn't do it at home... he didn't want to raise a child there. He knew that he'd been raised in the Labs, he loved his Dad, but he would rather be out in a nice place, just him and Ciaran and then their baby when the time came he thought to himself. He wanted to raise that child far from the Labs and the dangers therein. Luthor glanced down at Copeka with his soft, blue eyes before he gave a smile when he got a smile this time from the baby instead of causing him to cry... though he knew that he wasn't the cause of it the last time or so he'd been assured, "Bubbo?" He asked of Copeka, glancing to Lira, curious what the little one was talking about before gave another smile when the boy started to make such cute, happy sounds, "So cute." "Thank you," Lira said humbly, looking around her and Adhi's and 'Zuba's handiwork with a quiet pride. "Considering we threw it together in a few days, I think it came together wonderfully." She smiled up at her friend. "If you want, when you and Ciaran start having a family, I could help you with anything you want. Consider it payment for helping me out now." To be honest, Lira was looking forward to that time. She had loved decorating and accessorizing the baby room, and she wanted to do it again as soon as possible. It wouldn't be a chore as much as an opportunity.
Lirona giggled happily and ruffled Copeka's hair gently, so pleased at her baby's new skill. "Um, he means 'bubble'. We got him a little bubble machine, and it was his first word a few days ago." She plugged in said machine and smiled as the bubbles began floating around the room. "He's been saying it constantly since then, it's so cute."
Copeka gasped in surprise when the bubble machine was turned on, bouncing happily when the bubbles started pouring from it. His small purple hands stretched out toward them, popping each on that he touched, squealing and clapping his hands each time. "Bubbo! Bubbo!!" he shouted joyfully, wings fluttering softly as the little nub of a tail that he possessed flicked happily as well. Bubbles were so fun!!"That would be nice, I was so lost when I went shopping in the baby store for the party as there are so many things that little ones need." He said, wings fluttering in a happy manner, "So anything advice or ideas for what to buy first would be wonderful." He said, watching as the woman moved to plug in the bubble machine, to show him what it was that the boy was talking about. He watched the bubbles that set to filling the air around them, "Ohhhh, I can see why he would like that." He said, finding it rather facinating himself. The white haired spawn lifted a hand up to pop one of the bubbles before he gave a little grin. His attention then fell to the boy that was doing the same as him, popping the bubbles before clapping and crying out for more, something that had him laughing, "Awww, that is to cute. You like them, huh Copeka?" He asked of the little spawn. "Then it's a deal," Lira said with a smile, nodding decisively. "I know that I needed a lot of help when I was going shopping for baby, but lots of friendly people helped me and gave me advice. So I'll help you too!" She beamed warmly at Luthor, then at her adorable babbling baby. "And it's pretty much his favorite things in the world. He can do that for hours, although I'd never leave him alone for so long." She smiled fondly at her little angel, stroking his forehead soothingly.
Copeka made a soft happy noise at the feeling of his mom's hand stroking his forehead, letting his golden eyes fall closed and nuzzling against the pets. He smiled when Luthor spoke to him, looking up at the other and reaching out toward him, popping a few bubbles in the process. "'Peka!!" he followed the action with a calling of his own version of his name, the only other word that he knew at this point in his young life.Luthor smiled as he looked down at the baby and gave a smile, "Yeah, I can understand why you would want to be by his side at all times." He couldn't imagine wanting to put ones baby down when you finally had it. It must be even more powerful a feeling for Lira given that she had once been a he... though that didn't exactly mean a lot, did it? After all Adriel had his children with the help of a wish and he was male. Reaching out a hand to the little one Luthor wiggled his fingers in front of the little one, within reach in case Copeka wanted to take hold of them. Luthor wasn't adverse to being close to others. It was impossible to be so having a brother like Pepper who tackled people as a form of affection, "Peka, huh? So you can say your own name? Good job!" He praised the little spawnling. Lirona nodded emphatically, smiling excitedly at Luthor. "Oh yeah. Especially with how hard it was getting him here, I never want to leave him alone." She stroked Copeka's hair once again with care, then offered her fingers for her baby to grab onto as well. "Part of it is worry, but part of it is, well... You just don't want to miss anything." She laughed gently. "Every day it seems like something wonderful happens..."
"'Peka!!" the infant giggled happily, the golden feathers of his wings trembling softly. Both of his chubby little hands outstretched to take hold of Luthor's larger fingers. He bit at his lip gently, tail twitching in concentration as he tugged at the man's hand, only able to pull himself into an upright sitting position. Pouting, he stomped his little feet on the ground, trying again to pull himself up with the help of Luthor's outstretched hand. "'Peka!"

It would be on a Saturday that you open your mail box (if you have one) and notice there is a rather thick envelope stuffed in there. There is no postage stamp and a very vague return address. But you recognize the font and the company's name. 'Seven of Seven Inc' scrawled in majestic font across the upper left hand corner. As you open it, you may strangely find yourself drawn to the letter, there is a mass of notes inside. They read as follows:
Letter Congratulations! You have managed to succeed in raising your child. (IE: Not killing him or her or getting killed yourself. Haha we kid of course.) We would like an update from you on the following: Guardians Name: Child's Name: Sin: Virtue: Gender: Current Attitude: Likes: Dislikes: Any abnormal growths: (if any, example: Feathers molting, horns growing larger, scars ) Current hair style: Current clothing preferences: Dominant celestial trait: (The sin or virtue) Please summarize in your own words how difficult or easy it was taking care of your child. Did you manage to care for them in a kindly fashion? Or were you forced to discipline them? As well do not be alarmed if you suddenly find your child achieving a massive growth spurt in the next little while. We are finding that the children from our facility have strange growing patterns and are rather unpredictable. Although please let us know if anything unexpected occurs. Sincerely the technicians from Seven of Seven Inc. Ps. Please just leave your letter back in your mail box one you have completed it our courier will pick it up. Thank you.
You would notice the letter seems overly friendly...strange since the scientist were so ...cold before.
(Just take the from Guardians name to Dominant Celestial trait and pm it to the mule, the summarization doesn't have to be long just have fun with it.)

Lirona's Journal Dear Journal,
Oh my god, so guess what? I grew overnight! Nothing really changed that much, at least body wise, but something else peculiar happened. Both Jake and my wing - huh, is it odd that I don't give my wing a name? - have gotten much, much paler. They look all lavendery now, like they went through the wash one too many times. It's silly, but it's like all of my color drained into Copeka; I wonder if that's symbolic of something?
But enough about me, so much other stuff has been happening! My little baby boy grew to toddler, and he's so happy to be able to walk around and explore. His wings are so lovely and floofy, I just love to pet them and watch them wiggle around. And I'm so glad that he seems to be growing up happy, considering all the drama the little scamp caused getting into the world. <3 It helps that, cue the fanfare... his actual daddy is in his life!
Yeah, some may call me a sucker, but considering that freaking Damien was taking Copeka to see him anyway, there really was little I could do. When I went to see him... He was so disheveled and sweet, I couldn't resist, just like I can never resist his tragedy. Plus... he had a ring. A really big, really gorgeous, amazing, unbelievable ring, and he gave it to me and asked... Well, what do you think he asked?! He asked me to marry him, and I- Well, I love him, so I had to say yes. I don't think it's gonna happen anytime soon - I know I'm a sap, but I'm still just the eensiest bit mad at him - but every time I glance at my hand, it's just sparkling back up at me, so beautiful... I'm really one of the luckiest women on the planet ~
Oh, gosh, I'm back on me again. Well, it is my journal, so I guess I'm allowed to be a little self-centered, but stiiiill! What else- Oh, Adhara grew, and she's beautiful, with the cutest fluffy hair in the world. I'm so happy for her and 'Zuba, and I know that neither of them can wait for their cute little babbin to be born. I've also heard news that Adelle has been found and in a hospital for... one thing or another. I didn't hear it all, and I didn't want to pry, but I just hope that she gets the help she needs. Poor baby, she's probably been through so much, I can't wait to go and see her, y'know, when I can.
So yeah, all in all, things are looking up. I'm gonna start looking for a job soon; I'm getting kind of tired of just being a dependent on Daddy's money. I really admire Adhara for getting so far on her own feet, and I want to be like that too, at least a bit. There's really nothing to complain about, I love my family and my life. I've never felt so content before... It's wonderful.
Lirona ~
