There had been a whirlwind of activity in the facility, charts were brought out, some were comparing a particular other spawn who had been pregnant before. Some of the staff hadn't realized that Lira...was now a girl. Correction, woman.
Though having other male spawn be able to carry children had raised many eyebrows they weren't going to let themselves be caught unawares this time.
Nurses readied the equipment, and a particularly tired looking man was standing waiting for the male now changed female Lira to show up. He would have to figure out how a completely 100% male was able to transform fully into a woman...he had his suspicions...but he wasn't going to go down that route for the moment.

Lirona was extremely nervous as she entered the Facility, one hand and Jake protectively placed over her bulging stomach. Her golden eyes flicked towards every face that passed her by, as if all of them were out to take her baby away from her. Of course, she had been reassured repeatedly by Adhara that this wasn't the case, but she couldn't help her suspicions. This wasn't exactly the most warm place to be, or the most child-friendly...
But she did need to see the doctor, so she didn't really have a choice. Unsure of where to go, she lingered around the main entrance for a second before, as a default, going to the front desk. "Um, h-hi, I'm Lirona By'arre-Lorcalle. I'm here to for a doctor's appointment...?"

The secretary a dowdy woman who seemed to have left her brain at home, blinked her large eyes up at Lira as if confused by being addressed. After a moment or two of uncomfortable staring the woman finally glanced at the girls pregnant stomach before finally reaching down and sifting through some papers.
It was as if the ability to talk was beyond her, she simply handed the file to Lirona and then gestured in the direction she was to head in. The customer service here was apparently lacking.
The hallways were clearly labeled, it was as if they had undergone a bit of an upgrade, the hospital wing was to the left.
At the end of the hallway Mr. Vampy stood waiting patiently, though there were many things on his mind it didn't seem to reflect his calm visage. He stood in his suit, not as if he were waiting for a patient to arrive but going to a game show.

Lirona was a little put-off by the disinterested and blank woman, feeling as if she was interacting with a dead fish. Still, good manners dictated that she smile warmly and follow her direction, so with a mumbled "Thank you", she took her file and followed the signs. Jake peered threateningly through every door and hallway that they passed, as if daring anyone to come and threaten the precious baby. Despite her curiosity, Lirona resisted the temptation to flick through her file; she assumed that the doctor would tell her anything that she needed to know.
When she entered the designated room, however, the pregnant teenager stopped short, blinking her golden eyes. There was no doctor in typical white robes waiting for her (which was weird considering how many of them were around), but a silver-haired, intimidating man in a suit. For half a second, she was convinced that they had to be a mistake, and she took a small step backwards, face unsure. "U-Um... Hello. I-I'm Lirona By'arre-Lorcalle, f-for my doctor's appointment. Are... Are you the doctor?" she asked cautiously. Jake was in full defense mode now, waving fiercely towards the silver-haired man.

The golden eyes fixated on the woman before him, right woman he had to remind himself of that as well make a mental note to talk to a particular spawn about him perhaps not using his powers the best way.
"I am not a doctor, but I am here to supervise the appointment." He murmured before he gestured to the room behind him.
"I have some experience with the equipment, and the nurses will be helping me." He continued as he stepped into the examination room. Gesturing he indicated he wanted her to sit upon it.

"A-Alright," came Lira's tentative reply as she sat down on the examination table. She wasn't sure how she felt about this mysterious man who was going to watch her appointment; even though he seemed like someone official, it really wasn't the most comfortable thing. She never took her eyes off of him, and Jake never stopped swaying threateningly. If he made one wrong move... WHACK! That would teach him to mess with baby!!
"So... What should I do?" she asked softly, fidgeting as she looked around the room. "I realize that I'm getting an appointment a little late in the game, but I've... I've never done this before..."

Wether or not Vampy noticed her discomfort it was hard to tell, he went about gathering equipment the nurses moved in and out of the room quietly, there was the wheeling of a screen brought in, as well other devices in which their purpose wasn't yet clear.
"I need you to lay down on the table, and expose your stomach. A nurse will then apply a jelly onto your skin, it will be cold." He explained in his matter of fact tone. It seemed he himself was literally just supervising this appointment.
A woman approached looking rather tentative, alarmed at the tentacle as if she had had previous experience with them. Even if this was only one, she was no fool.
"P..lease miss?" The woman murmured demurely, hoping to get this over with as soon as possible.

Lirona nodded dutifully at the man's instructions and laid back, pulling down her skirt some and pulling up her shirt, exposing her very pregnant belly. Even if the silver-haired man didn't notice her discomfort, she definitely noticed the nurses, as she smiled at her softly. Jake had been misbehaving as of late, and his aggressive swaying was sure to make anyone nervous. "I'm ready when you are. Gell me." As the woman worked, golden eyes shot a look at Jake, as if to say 'Be nice, mister. Or else.'
"So, um, is-is there anything I should know?" she asked the room at large, not sure who to address the question to. The nurse was doing the physical medical work, but the silver-haired man obviously ran the show.

Perhaps he became aware that his position was unclear, though he didn't voice or demand recognition, it was in the way he moved, spoke, held, and portrayed himself that demanded obedience as well a bit of awe and fear.
Still the nurse went about nervously applying the gel to the woman's belly, once done she moved to grab the ultra sound machine and seemed to be waiting for a cue before finally applying it gently onto Lira's stomach.
"It will be cold.." She apologized quietly as the silver haired man went to the screen and seemed to be adjusting the image until the obvious body shape of a curled up fetus was shown on the screen, the man seemed to be looking at it carefully before he turned to face Lira.
"As you have already found out your baby grows faster than a human's regular gestation. Human women tend to gestate their children for about nine months...and I am figuring it hasn't been nearly that length of time for you." Vampy started as he gave a small gesture to the baby that moved slightly on the screen.
"If you have questions now ask, I can give you a gender, vaugeish details about how many limbs if the baby looks healthy..and so on."

Lira nodded when the nurse told her that it was going to be cold; she had seen enough television to know that. Still, despite her mental preparation, she gasped slightly at the chill to her sensitive stomach. She shivered gently with a nervous giggle. "Ooh, you really weren't kidding." Luckily the gel quickly began to warm up with her body heat, and it wasn't long before she was comfortable. Golden eyes flicked to the screen, and she cooed gently at the figure she saw curled up inside her stomach. That was her little baby...
The silver-haired man's speech brought her back from her mental vacation, and Lira looked at him with a start, but nodded understandingly. "Yes, I have noticed. I've been keeping a little journal since I first started, and calculating back, it's only been about four-and-a-half months." She looked up at her baby again. In all honesty, she was happy that spawn children had a shorter gestation period than humans; of all things, she couldn't wait for her baby to be born.
"Oh! Um... I-I would like to know the gender, thank you. And the number of limbs," Lira added with a smile. That was something that she had been wondering about for a while now. Would her baby have a tentacle, a wing, two wings, a tail, all, some, none at all...?

Vampy nodded his head turning back to the screen as he studied the small figure there. It was a couple of moments before he finally tapped the screen to indicate what parts of the body were shown.
"Looks like we have a normal set of arms and legs, a set of wings...and I am not sure but looks like a small tail, or it could be nothing. " He went quiet as if trying to see what gender the baby was, the nurse began to gentle massage Lira's stomach as if trying to coax the baby to shift a bit.
"Ah..there we go, looks like your having a boy." Vampy noted, so that made two males and one female born of the second generation thus far.
"Did you want to look at him longer? Or shall we get you cleaned up?"
