The points fairy leaves them under your pillow... er wait, no.
There were the faction contests, which will count for a (small) bonus based on the points previously awarded which will be spent by the faction leaders on their faction.
Each regular member of a faction will be allotted points to contribute to faction total, and each of their own personal totals. Thus, someone who belongs to no faction will still have points. Those who belong to factions will benefit their faction total as well. Factions with more active members (who are actually loyal to their faction will have an advantage here).
Finally, I will be giving a couple of select individuals a higher starting total (Valatar and Lengna for example) as accepted primary custodians of their respsective UG towns.
It's not going to be statted out D&D style, but it will try to roughly translate D&D type effects and power levels, only in Gaia terms. This is an attempt to reconcile D&D and Gaia in effect.
Gods will be able to "bless" and "gift" individuals as well in various ways.
I will let out a spoiler... spending points will normally be public, so nothing hidden, but there will be an option to spend points clandestinely, for an increased cost, no one else will know what you purchased, or what you possessed (unless they can manage to spy successfully on you).
