Zach sighed quietly. This wasn't going to be easy. He wasn't used to... crossdressers... at all. He had nothing against them, he just wasn't fond of them lying on him. He began to reason with Avery. "Sorry, I just..."

He was quite surprised when Avery rolled off. Zach stayed lying on his back a moment before getting enough of a grip on the ground with one hand to sit up. There was sand all in his hair, and jacket, and pants, and a hell of a lot in his shoes too. He noticed the guy hanging on his arm. Avery seriously needed to lie down or something, Zach didn't trust him out here with the ocean. Avery could be drunk enough to do something stupid, and drown...

"Can you... walk?" he asked. Doubtful, just looking at him. Avery seemed to be completely and totally drunk. "No, I guess not." He looked around.

To hell with it. Just about all the others on this island were animal people. They had nothing on "normality", whether they chose their fate here or not. He had little enough time left to enjoy his, slowly realizing that his hopes of escape would not happen. "Don't worry," he smiled nervously to the drunk, "I'll stay here for a while..."

With Avery's hands still limply clamped on his arm, he motioned to the abandoned bottle of rum on the ground. "Can you pass me that?" If I'm going to hang around here with you, I'm going to do it intoxicated.

Avery sat up and grabbed the bottle of rum, taking a few gulps before holding the bottle out to Zach. "Here ya go, man." The alcohol was making him feel happy and light headed. He planned to steal some of the alcohol and bring it back to his duplex - if he remembered to - and if there wasn't a mini-fridge in there, he would just have to drink it.

Once Zach took the bottle from him, Avery decided he didn't want to stay sitting anymore and flopped back down into the sand. Yes, that was much better.

Zach snatched the bottle and immediately took a swig of it. The stuff went down a little painfully, and he knew he'd get sick, but he was beyond caring. He barely thought about the fiery feeling of alcohol in his throat, or that the more he was drinking, the less clearly he could distinguish between the sea and the sky.

And he didn't seem to realize that Avery wasn't his old girlfriend from several years back.

That b***h had been the source of all his problems. Still was. No wonder he'd never found her after she'd run off with his money. He had a strangely happy feeling she was right here to pay for it. The bottle slipped out of his fingers and fell on its side with a dull thump in the sand, spilling its contents. Zach's face was flushed with drunkenness and he was glaring deliberately at the intoxicated guy next to him.

"Jessica!" he snarled, more slowly than normal. He tried to stand, but couldn't seem to stay up, and had to resort to a crawl to get close enough to Avery to tug on his hair. Jessica never used to dye her hair, but who knows what she had done with all that money?

"Heeey," Avery chuckled, reaching for the spilled bottle, "be careful, you dropped the--" his words were cut off with a startled yelp when Zach suddenly yanked on his hair. He reflexively reached back, grabbing his hair to try and pull it out of Zach's grasp weakly. "That hurts! What are you doing!?" And who the hell is Jessica? Avery wondered, looking at the other man with wide eyes.

He was afraid. He was terrified. Why was Zach trying to hurt him? But whenever Avery tried to think of why, he could only think of what happened to him on the ship.

But this time, there was no one around to save him.

Avery tried to stand up, but he was too drunk to even get to his feet. "Please let go," he whimpered, tugging on his own hair again. "Don't hurt me..." He knew that he couldn't hold out in a fight, even if Zach did only have one arm.

Zach let go suddenly out of surprise. That wasn't Jessica's voice... he blinked and tried to understand what he was doing, but the person next to him looked just like Jessica. Right down to the blonde hair. Why wouldn't it be her...?

"Not gunna hurt you..." he muttered, still confused. Not yet. He wouldn't hurt her until he got his damn answer. Though Avery now had his hair free, Zach grabbed his wrist and twisted, not coordinated enough to do damage, but it would certainly hurt. His voice was full of anger. "Whythehell didja do it? Why?"

As soon as Zach let go of his hair, he started to crawl away. He felt like he was going to be sick. He was drunk and confused; he had no idea what was going on. But he didn't get far, crying out in pain when Zach grabbed his wrist and twisted his arm. He froze where he was, not wanting to move and cause more pain or possibly break his arm. "I... I don't know what you're talking about... I didn't do anything, please..."

Zach didn't let go this time. If he tried to do any more moving, he felt like he'd throw up. Instead, he stayed where he was on his knees in the sand. He wasn't going to hold this grip for long - he was on the verge of passing out.

"Notheanswer I want," he huffed in outrage. His fingers were slipping. "You lying b***h!"

Jessica was damn lucky he didn't have his left arm, or he'd have smashed her face in by then, he felt. He'd have done it... really. She deserved it too. For everything. He wavered a moment, thoroughly nauseous, then tried to close in on Avery...

Before he could get close enough, he lost his balance and fell. He was out cold as soon as he hit the sand, the huge amount of alcohol having taken its toll on his system. His fingers slid off Avery's wrist soon after.

Avery winced when Zach yelled at him. Oh god, he's going to hit me, he thought with horror. He shut his eyes tightly, waiting for the blow to come... only it didn't. He felt Zach's grip on his wrist loosen and then slip off completely. Avery glanced back just in time to see Zach pass out in the sand.

This was his chance to run.

Thoughts of bringing alcohol back to his duplex forgotten, Avery struggled to his feet and ran back as fast as he could, leaving Zach behind. Like hell he was going to help him. He managed to get back to his duplex safely, only falling down four or seven times on the way. As soon as he got into his room, he slammed the door shut, locking it. He would have started crying right there, but he felt too sick - he ran into the bathroom, falling to his knees in front of the toilet and promptly lost all the alcohol he just drank.

(( That's a wrap ))

New RP

The alcohol in her duplex had run dry and Antony was in a drinking mood, so it didn't take long for her to meander her way down to the Beach Bar to not only restock, but to stock herself a bit too.

She could never say no to some Grey Goose.

Sitting in her usual low-riding jeans and a dark tank top, the tattooed woman was perched on a bar stool and nursing her first shot glass of vodka. The night had only begun.

It was a cool night and Alec felt like wandering again, leaving his duplex to shuffle through the jungle towards the beach. He remembered seeing something similar to a hut dotting the beachside the day he'd met Amaya, wondering idly if it would attract activity at night.

Sure enough as the irishman approached the bar, he noticed a figure sitting by their lonesome. Further pbservation proved it was Antony, the girl he'd met in the jungle a day or two before. "Aye." He chirped and slipped onto a stool, offering her a grin as he watched her down some vodka, clearly starting the party early.

Antony's tails flicked at Alec's approach, taking the shot down as he sat on the stool next to her. His accent gave away his identity immediately, and she reached over to where her pack of cigarettes and lighter were stationed on the bar counter next to her. "Good evening," she said sharply, shaking out a smoke before putting it to her lips and lighting it up.

The drag was much more satisfying with the alcohol, and after she glanced over to the punkster, she poured herself another shot. "Going to take me up on that drinking offer?"

Alec slumped against the bar countertop, holding the side of his face up in the palm of his hand as he watched her down a shot. It seemed he thought over the decision for merely a moment. Uprighting himself, he drummed his hands on the counter as her inhaled sharply. "Hit meh." He glanced over to what she was drinking, not recognizing the label and not really caring.

Antony gave him a wry grin, but simply set the smoke on a nearby ash tray before grunting and pulling herself over the bartop. With her tails in the air, she rummaged shortly for a second glass, sliding back and setting the glass next to hers. The smoke was returned to her lips soon after both drinks were poured. "Vodka," she explained when didn't mention what he wanted, sliding the liqour over in front of him. "You have an accent. Where are you from?" She had yet to reach the pleasant stupor that alcohol often brought her, and her blunt question proved that.

Alec didn't wait until the glass was fully slid in his direction before he snatched it up, dumping the contents down his throat. These last few days were catching up to him, creeping up slowly to saturate his thoughts. He was tired beyond compare and the future didn't seem any easier to understand.

"Ireland." He answered clearly though he coughed slightly from the burning sensation of the vodka hitting his dry throat. "Belfast area. Ye' eveh been?"

"This, ironically... Is my first time out of the States," she murmured spitefully, taking her shot much more smoothly than he had. The burn was expected and even welcomed. It had been a long, Jamal-less week, and thus, not only was she frustrated sexually, part of her was still irritated from her run in with Billy. "Though I would have loved it, I have a thing for accents." Yep, she would have 'loved' herself all over Ireland.
