She was a little surprised that he wasn't offended by his name but didn't really care. His name would change again whenever she calmed down more then likely. Or perhaps it would change now that he had ticked her off again!
"Then why did you stop me?!" She demanded to know looking from the way she had been going to him and then back again. Of all the infuriating things to do. If she was right then why question her? Why did he not just follow?
She was tempted to bite him again but decided against it. "You really are a jerk." She said pressing on while staying close. "And there was no reason to refuse like that. I only wanted to get a good look at you..." She was more or less pouting now. It was normal for her. She would be angry and then shortly after would pout or sulk for a while.

Axel looked at her curiously but he just shrugged at her question. "If I let you go, you could have gotten lost anyway. Don't sound so ungrateful." He felt his old self coming back and he didn't mean to be rude towards her but that was just the way he was.
"Yes I am." Smiling, he was quite content with himself and it had been a long time he had heard an insult. "So? After being the in the dark for so long, don't you think your eyes would be very sensitive to the light?" It was only logic to him and he wasn't sure why she couldn't understand this stuff without him having to tell her.
"Don't be so upset. I was only watching out for your best interest." And he was being sincere. He was beginning to learn that he had another purpose for existing.

He was right about that but she would not admit it or give thanks in anyway. She did not like being wrong so why let him know that she knew that she had made a mistake.
"You are..." She agreed with a nod of her head before blinking a few times. Wait. Her brain didn't seem to be functioning at the moment. Did he just agree with her about an insult? A small smirk set itself on her face as she turned to look up at him. She rather liked that. "No...I believe I would have no use for eyes if I were dead." She was being honest. If she had been in the dark for so long she would have likely died in one way or another much like a flower would. "Though...if I managed to survive I could see the light bothering my eyes...but you know...you could have just closed your eyes."
She let out a satisfied little 'hmph' feeling that she had just won something. Shortly after she fell silent taking to staring at him once again. How exactly did he know what her best interest was? She didn't understand.

Laughing heartily, Axel was clearly enjoying himself because she was so head strong. He loved that about her and he hardly knew her. "I see. I guess that could be true. Heh. But that would have been troublesome because you wouldn't have been able to see my eyes then." Sticking his tongue playfully at her, Axel liked to tease her so.
The stallion felt a little more comfortable now... He felt his old flame flicker inside of him and he just felt a surge of strength that he hadn't felt in so long. Axel watched the edge of the forest get closer and closer and the light get brighter and brighter. It was all so... foreign and new to him. It was like he was being reborn again.

She blinked as he stuck out his tongue. It rather amused her. Her entire family, that she knew, were rather formal. They played games but never really behaved in such a way. She shook her head and laughed silently, her body shaking slightly.
His earlier name seemed to suit him perfectly. There was a fire in him. A fire that she wanted to see burning at it's fullest. Bright and powerful.
Her eyes focused on the path ahead and as the continued the golden color almost seemed to glow. The light of day was shining before her and it was beautiful. A completely joyous odd sort of noise slipped out and she charged towards the trees, the exit. When she was completely bathed in the light she stopped, letting her eyes slide shut, just taking in the feeling.
It had only been a short while but it felt like an eternity to her. "So nice..." There was dreamy, content tone to her voice. "Come stand with me..." She peeked her eyes open and turned to look at him. She wanted him to go with her, he had come this far after all. It was only a few more steps.

Blinking, Axel wasn't sure what he was supposed to do and the sun felt so good on his skin. There weren't words to describe it. He wanted to rush out and run but he knew his eyes wouldn't be able to handle it. As the light got brighter, he realized how pale he had gotten and that would have to change. Axel once was a vibrant character and he wanted to be that way again. Not just for him but also for Phia.
He took that last step out into the open and all he could see was Phia. He then realized where he was supposed to be and that was next to Phia. Moving slowly, he stood next to her and faced the sun. Refreshing... "Thank you." Axel wasn't even sure what he was supposed to say but Phia had saved him.

Again Seraphia blinked her golden lidded eyes. She didn't have the faintest clue of what exactly she was being thanked for. As it turned out she didn't really care what the reason was at all. Without inquiring about it she responded with a simple "thank you" and a small smile.
A more polite mare would have pointed out that really she should have been thanking him. She wasn't lost in the shadows anymore. It would have been quite interesting if she had known that it was that exact reason for which he was thanking her for.
Without letting the smile slip from her lips she turned her gaze back into the sun. Somehow, standing in the warmth of the light beside Axel, she got the feeling that this would be the start of a new chapter in her life. How wonderful.
