Chris looked from left to right, eyes open for any possible attack, while the drone led them onwards towards the exit. It was taking a roundabout route to avoid any enemies. His only concern was speed.

"Dat shud du it, meeb wuud loike ter see dem gits git thruu this mez."
Rock Jaw had chopped down trees onto the path from a long way along it using his claw, making it almost impossible for anyone to be able travel using it. If someone going down the path wanted to get by fast, they would have to stray off the path to go around the fallen trees for quite some time before the path was clear again.
"Nows meeb jus' godda 'ide an wait fer dim."
Rock Jaw finished the last tree and went into the foliage of the woods, making his way to where the first tree was taken down by his Bigga Klaw. He would wait off to the side of the path a bit so to mask his presence from the group till it was appropriate to attack them.

"Cripes!' Chris shouted, skidding to a halt before he crashed into the pile of fallen trees. "Damnit! Who did this?" He roared.

((Minron, Marquis would probably be around level 8. I don't really have any ideas on how many levels there will be. If you want to make a boss for level 5, be my guest.))

Among the places and areas where Reapers and Bosses met within the game world, this place was a place where the leader of the High Arch and Marquis met from time to time to discuss their arrangements so war wasn't started between the High Arch and the Corrupted Legion. It was a simple house in the border between the Level Six realm and the Level Eight realm so the two leaders would be on equal ground if one was to betray the other.
The house was in poor quality and made of rotting wood, only big enough to support at least a family of three; it was more of a shack really. Alexander was the first to enter the meeting place, escorted by two Mechitacs; heavily armored royal guards only given to those of royal blessing or heritage. These warriors were magically fused together with machines to become an abomination of flesh and steel, only a mad man would be able to take the risk of life to do this task. One fourth of test subjects survived the transformation; the others became nothing more than heaping piles of steaming mass that smelled of the damned.
Alexander was a tall man with equally short brown hair that liked to dress in a green uniform garnished with a camouflage sash to show his allegiance to his previous regiment in the jungles of farther off lands. As always, he was equipped with his Wolf Claws; Metal gauntlets that delivered a shocking surge through the opponent if even glanced by its tip. Alexander now waited for the monster creature once known as a human being to enter the building and the thunderous footsteps signaled such a man's arrival.
Ducking to get into the house, Marquise's dark mist flooded before him in a thin blanket across the floor as he stepped in, each step making small vibrations due to his heavy armor and large stature. Once a man devoted to the Emperor, now a shell of his former self covered into the curse of the Corrupted Legion. Marquis was dressed in his living armor and on his back was his Sword of Scorn and Shield of the Deiderics; The Deiderics were a race of Warp Golems that forged protective weaponry, though long wiped out by the High Arch. The eyes on the armor moved to stare into the eyes of Alexander, blinking once every few seconds as they seemed to stare into his soul.
"What is it traitor? Come to demand more weapons or is it finally time for you to give up this cause of corruption?"
Marquis sneered at Alexander, causing dark mist to gather and hit his face in a motion that made it almost seem like Marquis was spitting on him.
"Neither can you pathetic follower of order, the only answer is chaos, there never will be order. My sky drones you sent me show signs of a group of what the GM calls 'Players' advancing through Level One. The fool Orc is hindering their process, but they might make it to the Arch Gates. Don't underestimate them or it could be your last defense."
Alexander scoffed at Marquise's warnings, laughing along with Mechitacs as they found his caution laughable as well. He turned his head back with a smile of self righteousness and smartly commented back.
"For five years, not a single scum breed has made it past my post, what makes you think these 'Players' will make it past my gate?"
Marquis looked away from him for a moment and his eyes were slanted in deep thought as he stared off into the walls of the house.
"There is a disturbance within the Warp, it has been difficult to read for the past few hours, this usually signals a change in the course of actions from the regular cycle, you must bolster your forces."
Once again Alexander couldn't contain himself and started to laugh again, his body guards joining in; just because they were part machine didn't mean they were left without humor or ignorance.
"It only means our victory will be much sweeter this time, you worry too much..."
With another chuckle, Alexander left, his guards soon following behind him. Marquis was disappointed with Alexander's ignorance and swayed his head in disappointment.
"May the Warp be kind to your soul Alexander, you will die because of you ignorance...The only answer to the state of the world and you wish to bring complete order when that answer is and always will be chaos..."

"O.K., then..." Andy said unsteadily as he started to walk towards the forest. He tried to look calm, but his cold, black eyes were searching frantically for enemies that could be hiding in the trees. Suddenly, he saw movement in the trees, and he gave a start. Fingering his sword sheath, he tried to see what it was. A cute little brown squirrel scampered up a tree and stared at him, as if mocking him. He sighed and kept on walking, hoping that the others didn't notice his blunder. Look at me, he thought. The great and mighty ethereal demon who is spooked by small rodents.
As Andy approached the edge of the forest, he noticed that many of the trees were knocked down. "What happened here?" He muttered. "Are we in drunken lumberjack territory?" Suddenly, he heard the sound of a high-tech machine, humming quietly but powerfully, and approaching fast. As the machine noise faded away, its user appeared between the trees, skidding to a halt. Chris' space-age speed suit looked terribly out of place in a fantasy forest, and the fierce light in his eyes told Andy that he was a fighter. The 'spaceman' shouted a curse, and Andy took an involuntary step back. Steeling himself, he quickly brandished his katana and assumed a battle stance as he addressed Chris. "You there!" He rasped. "Are you an enemy or friend?" Noticing the weaponry on Chris' suit, Andy fervently hoped that the latter was true.

"Quiet, loud boy. There is an Ork hidden somewhere in here. This is the perfect spot for a trap." Ixpath glanced around with his face shifting. "Master, the Ork probably did set this up as a trap. This one is.... ancient by ork standards." Ixpath cursed a curse that hadn't been heard for a thousand years. "You there. Speed boy. Turn off the noise. The ork almost certainly is about to kill you if you don't. Seriously. Do it. Obedai menua montat!" Small little boots with wings on them appeared above Chris's head. He felt much quicker.
((Ixpath just cast Greater Speed on Chris, which would, with a normal human, nearly double their speed.))

Rock Jaw was too far away from the group to listen to what they were saying, but he know they were being cautious about the falling trees since they stopped moving. Rock Jaw stopped clinging to the tree he had set up on and got down, unlatching his Meta Shoota from his back. This was basically a big cannon that was able to be wielded by an Orc with ease, yet cause devastation unlike most other hand held weaponry.
"They know me'm 'ere, meeb must be more careful if ter be abul ter snag any loot at awl. Me'll jus' keep dim on their toes an fire a few shots o' meeb Meta Shoota."
Taking aim towards the smell of dirt and corruption; meaning the smell of worms and demon, Rock Jaw fired one shot towards that direction. He hoped the wind would through off where he thought the smell was coming from of mess with his gun’s projectory. The shot was large for hand held standards and went through wood and bark of the trees. Armor was different, especially if it was more focused on blocking blunt attacks.
((EDIT: Ah, in that case Alexander is probably ranked 6-8 and Marquis is about 9-11. Rock Jaw isn't really a Reaper, so he doesn't have a rank.))

((EDIT: Ah, in that case Alexander is probably ranked 6-8 and Marquis is about 9-11. Rock Jaw isn't really a Reaper, so he doesn't have a rank.)) Ixpath was caught unawares by the giant metal slug flying through the air. It smashed straight through the worm-chest, not causing any visible damage as the worms reformed, but when they were finished, an arm seemed to be missing. "Danm. And for some reason, there aren't any worms to help with my regeneration." Just then, he noticed that the worms at the center had burst into flame. No eyes cause very little expression, but the exclamation that followed probably explains it. "Sweet lady jesus, i'm on FIRE! Put it out, put it out!" The worms that were aflame burst off of him, and dissapeared into the ground, only to come out again to reform the body. "Mess with me, will ya ork? Die! RETH!" A blast of fire jettisoned from the ground in the general direction the shot had come from, the trees igniting in an instant, the beauty of flame hitting the eyes first. ((Note; I expect Rock Jaw to escape this. He probably has dealt with magic before.))

Rock Jaw knew exactly what to do in a situation like this; when trees were set on fire, dirt on the ground wouldn't be affected by it since it isn't flammable. Certain animals even would dig under the ground to avoid forest fires, a common defense mechanism for many small creatures. However, Rock Jaw wasn't equipped to dig, but he was equipped to cut things down. Using his Bigga Klaw and his fist after reattaching his Meta Shoota to his back again, Rock Jaw cut down trees around him and slammed his fist to knock them away from him. Soon Rock Jaw was in a protective patch of dirt surrounded by flames, since the fire couldn't ignite the ground; he was safe as long as he stayed in the circle he had created. Despite this maneuver, now Rock Jaw was exposed to the undead dragon or at least he thought it is an undead creature. Rock Jaw readied his hand to grab one of his guns, based upon the enemy's actions, he would need a different gun or the same used last to fight them off. If he used the Meta Shoota, it would leave him open to the enemy, but cause massive damage if it even hit. If he used the Spray Shoota, it would do any serious damage to any of them considering their abilities so far, but provide cover to escape.

Aansalath looked in on the beginning battle with boredom. He was really hoping getting himself into this would bring a little excitement to his eternal life. He looked at the party members individually. There was a worm creature unlike he'd ever seen. A healer, of an elfin race. A samurai, a half giant, and others that he really could care less for. He did find particular interest in the healer. He thought to himself She is rather attractive....she would make a marvalous meal for this one. He debated going into the mix and acting as one of their own...or waiting for the GM's orders. At this point, that was a hard thing to do for him.
For now, he simply stood there, ebony cane in hand. A wine velvet coat on with a loose cream shirt underneath. He had on his normal lace collar, and today his sleeves had a fringe of lace on them. He wore black slacks, and his normal black dress shoes. He also had on his normal top hat, black and plain. He seemed to have no weapons on him, not that he needed any. His eyes today were a darker shade of red, he knew that he must feed soon, or he would be unable to control himself. He rolled his eyes as the worm caught on fire and began to yell. Alas that he hadn't seen any other beautiful young women...ones that he could feed from. For now, he may have to stick with animals. He shuddered from the thought of drinking from those dirty, watered-down inferior beings. His mouth seemed to go all of a sudden dry, just from the thought. Yes, he would have to feed well soon.

As a ring of flaming trees fell around the Ork, Andy started to maneuver around it. Circling the ring, and listening intently for movement, he got on the side opposite of his supposed allies. Now, if the Ork tried to escape, he would have nowhere to go. Suddenly, an idea struck him. Rock Jaw apparently thought he was safe inside the ring of fire, but what if... Summoning all of his spectral strength, Andy swung at a young tree slightly thicker than his forearm. Surprisingly, he sliced it like butter and it fell. Tossing his katana aside, he grabbed the fallen tree and hurled it into the middle of the flames. Luckily for him, this was a Guluu tree; a tree that was rare here and extinct on Earth, with unusually flammable sap. Catching fire instantly, it zoomed towards Rock Jaw...

Chris leaped at a nearby tree and kicked off, using his wings to propel him over the trees. The drone was waiting on the other side, and soon the chase was back on. "Where's that damn door?" He muttered.

((Sorry that I haven't been posting for a while.))
Finally they had come to the forest. There were a bunch of fallen trees blocking their path. So that's what happened. Somebody trying to stop us from entering. It's probably a trap of some kind. Suddenly, a man in a robot-like suit appeared between the trees. Ixpath said something in an ancient language again, and some boots appeared above Chris's head. Alora widened her eyes a bit. Suddenly, something big flew through the air past Alora, right through Ixpath's chest. Alora let out a small whimper, but quickly saw that the worms reformed. "Ixpath, you're on..." She immediately noticed that she didn't need to add the word 'fire', as Ixpath had already found out by himself. Alora didn't know what to do, but apparently he did fine himself. She shuddered by the worms coming back to reform. Then Ixpath made fire rush out of the earth in the direction of Rock Jaw. Everything happened so fast, that Alora had no other choice but to watch as everyone around her were fighting. It took her a while to realize: The game has begun for real. She tried to think of a method to participate in the fight, but as she had no weapons and didn't know of any other powers than to heal, she just stood there, protected by the magic shield.
