The night sky was a dark violet, the pines just a black silhouette against it. The grass was cool against my feet, damp with the beginnings of morning dew.

I marched proudly up the mountain overlooking Seatence Valley. The peak was my place for peaceful pondering, free of the bothers of city life. I loved the feeling of being on top of things, and looking down at everything in the valley.

A quick movement caught my eye, and instinctively, I pounced on it. It squirmed under my heavy paw, and I knew that with any more pressure I could crack its little neck. It squeaked, and just sat limply under me, although I knew from its rapid heartbeat that it was playing dead.

Pitying the poor creature, I used the red crescent on my head to move a heavy rock over its tail. In the faint moonlight, I could see the terrified blue eyes of a Pichu. How great it felt to be in power, and to look into the eyes of someone who could not stand up to me. I smirked and kept trotting up the mountain.

At the top, I gazed down enviously at the small, carefree Pokemon in the valley. I still remember my life in Inhinx, so happy, and now so far away.

And from that life, there was one face I could remember so achingly well. That horrible beast, who drove me away from Inhinx. Isamu was his name.

I dug my paws into the ground until they bled. The thought of him made me hot with rage, and how could it not, when it is because of him that I live in a city?

I still remember scrambling away from Inhinx, hiding in the bloody snow, and being captured by someone kind enough to take care of me.

The sun began to rise as it cast its first orange light onto Seatence Valley. The Pokemon began to wake up, the Meowth running to catch fish in the little creeks.

As I watched the land come to life again, I began to think about whether it was fair of me to be mean to others just because I was mad at Isamu. Maybe I was pointlessly taking my anger out on innocent Pokemon.

I began my slow descent down the mountain. This time, when I passed the Pichu, still trapped under the rock, I set it free and watched it scamper away.

Night had loomed over the sky and darkened the presence of anyone to mere silhouettes. Ahh, well, so it appeared. In truth, this was just exaggerated darkness. I have seen darkness. True darkness. The darkness that came from only the clouded response of the heart. But tonight alone, the darkness was suitable. Sight could be withheld, especially with assistance from the stars above. I have been traveling the last couple of days, searching. For what you may ask? The truth to why I am here. What was my true existence? I have been thinking heavily about it. To the extent in which I actually journeyed out to find my answer. Tonight was just another night of my journey. But there I laid, amongst the wedge between the Howling Forest and the Seatence Valley. How I came here, I do not know. I let my feet travel and my mind wander.

But now, I was taking a rest from my travels. Laying on my back, my eyes darted to every star amongst the night sky. Such beautiful gems. It is a pity they do not know the feelings of living embodiments. Closing my eyes to shield away the twinkling of the jewels, my mind trailed back to my history. Of how I was thrown from my home, Inhinx. Of how terrible it felt to be striped of a place that understood myself. Anger swelled inside myself and next thing I knew I was upon my feet. But the anger would not settle, more surfaced as the thought of him entered into my mind. That damned, b*****d, Isamu! I couldn't take it anymore! By just the mere mutter of his name in my thoughts drove me wild! I hissed a growl and swung my anchored red blade around. Running into a set of boulders away from my standing, I crushed them to the floor. A searing pain erupted from my blade as I wheezed air from bottling up my emotions. Once again, I lashed out my blade at the boulder and it came crumbling down. Oh how satisfying this felt!

As I turned myself to lash out once more, I paused as I heard howling come from the forest a distance away from me. The howling began with one but became more louder and lively as others joined in. It was from the Pokemon of the Howling Forest. It seems my racket had awoken several of them and their howling was a complaint to stop. A sigh whispered passed my lips as I hastily called out a "...Sol!" into the air. That was my apology as I should of taken their slumbering into consideration. But to hell with that! They should at least think about how I am feeling! Anger still bubbled and boiled in me, but I ignored it. For now, I shall continue my journey. Nodding my head, I began my journey once more. But only a couple of steps were taken before I heard the patted footsteps of another.

One again I hastily called into the air, "Who goes there?!" I took a defensive stance in case it was some kind of attacker. I did not need to get into a brawl. I wasn't in the mood for knocking the senses out of someone. As I blinked, I noticed it was not an attacker at all. It was a lone Houndour. But with appearance alone, I did not lead myself astray. Looks can be deceiving, especially from this Grey-striped Houndour. Narrowing my eyes at her, she tilted her head at me. Again, I repeated my question, "Who goes there?!" The Houndour took a step forward. I could make out more details of her. She held grey eyes and her snout was lightly brushed with white. "Nothing but a Houndour out for a walk." replied the Houndour in a sweet muttered tone. I sighed at the response. She was no threat, not at all. I straightened face to its usual look, one with no care of feeling. I snorted as I began to walk past her, going to continue my journey. But I paused as I heard her say, "Do not try the look of senseless apathy. There is something troubling you, angering you. Do you mind to discuss it with myself?" I wanted to continue walking, but an invisible chain prevented me of doing so. This Houndour....I do not know how she guessed. But she was correct.

Turning my crimson gaze towards her, I tilted my head. "How do you know?" I questioned, my gritted voice spilling my emotion of anger. "Your like an open diary with ink spilled upon it. The story is shown but illegible to read. Come, tell me your tale." At that, the Houndour began to walk. I had no choice but to follow after her. If she wanted me spin my tale, I will happily do so. Once again, I was taken to my original spot of the wedge between the forest and the valley. The Houndour had taken a seat and so did I. We began with an exchange of names. She immediately told me hers, which was Heila. In truth, I had no desire to tell her my name. But her face fixated and she spoke, "Equivalent exchange my dear Absol. Please allow me to know your name." I huffed as I replied with, "Beautiful Chaos." A look of satisfaction blossomed upon the face of Heila as she asked, "May I learn your tale?" Time passed as I spoke of my story. Of how I was chased out of Inhinx, how I despised the very mention of the Absol that drove me out, how I wondered about my existence to this world, of the journey of what I was on now.

The eyes of Heila danced as I told my history. Once I stopped, Heila smiled at me. I did not get this at all. Shouldn't I receive pity? Since than, everything has been Hell and all this Houndour has been doing was smiling...In truth, it pissed me off! As I arose to my feet to leave, Heila's voice beckoned me back down on my feet. "Come now Beautiful Chaos." she spoke. "You are on the journey of happiness...and yet you do not accept the opportunities given to you. Please state the truth, did this chat with myself help with relieving of your anger from before?"

I blinked at the Houndour. It was true. I did feel relieved. As if a large load just magically flashed into thin air off my shoulders. I silently nodded my head at her, but not before asking, "What do you mean by...the journey of happiness?" Once again, that smile that I came fond to seeing sprouted on Heila's face. "The journey of happiness..." began Heila. "...is the path one takes to find the true object, place, or person to make them happy always. You have taken that journey now Beautiful Chaos. But have you not open your eyes? You complain and put blame upon the Absol that had thrown you out of Inhinx. But tell me the truth once more, are you not happier that you have left?" At that moment, it felt like someone ripped out my heart and cackled in my wake. This Houndour was correct once more...! I was happier! But I put all my blame upon...Isamu for throwing me out. But in reality, I was just fueling my anger so I had something...to continue living for. My face saddened as Heila stared at me. Her eyes softened as she bowed her head and continued. "You set your feelings of anger and hate in front of your happiness to believe everything was set like so. But now, it seems you opened your eyes to the truth. However, --" Heila paused as she perked her ears to the distance.

I turned my head also as I heard the clops of hooves against the surface. Along with those clops came the light pouts of flatulence that can be smelled. I wrinkled my nose from the distasteful scent, but Heila seemed to not be bothered by it. Did she know this smell? "I apologize." spoke Heila as she nodded her head. "This seems to be my pick-up. I am sorry Beautiful Chaos, but I must take my leave." Heila picked herself up and began to run. She made off quite a distance to the horizon before calling out, "I wish you luck upon your adventure! I hope...I hope you find your happiness!" And with that, she was gone. I sighed as I started towards the towering sky. The night was kicking away and dawn was approaching. Turning my head, I began to walk before I came to realization that I had not thanked her for her words. I grinned to myself as I shrugged and began to walk. "Our paths will collide again someday..." was the thought that crossed my mind as I flicked my tail and continued down the path.

Name: Lunar Mirage
Pokemon Trying for: Beautiful Chaos
Prompt Entry:

BC sat on the hillside just outside town. He didn’t have any knowledge of the town’s name, and at this point, had no real care to. His only true concern was to survive...and perhaps a bit of revenge on Isamu for forcing him to abandon his home where he’d been born and raised. As thoughts of the particular pokemon flashed in his head, he growled lightly, the sound barely carrying on the light breeze. Sneezing, he shook his head as if to clear his thoughts before gazing once more upon the stars above.

He knew most other pokemon, especially those having been raised by trainers, considered him bossy, aloof and perhaps a bit snooty, that perhaps he was better than they were. In quite a few aspects, he did consider that true...having been born wild he had more control over his power, had alot of ‘street-smarts’ and had been free to use it at will. However, if the truth be known (though he’d never admit aloud to any other pogey) was that he was jealous of them as well. They were part of a family...one that he no longer had, whether biological or not. He had found himself a lone-wolf...forced to do what he could to survive. He had been blessed for a short time to live with a human, one he’d come to really like and had given him a collar with his name on it, but there had come a time that she was forced to free her pokemon and leave her home, though he had no real clue why. Still, he thought of her fondly and treasured the gift she’d given him.

Since that time, he’d gone into hiding...the loss of his friend and trainer had disheartened him and he had no real clue how to handle it, so he’d withdrawn from society in general, human and pokemon alike. He became elusive like a ghost, sad and empty, homeless and friendless. He blamed Isamu for all his bad luck, that if he’d not been driven away, he’d still be happy with no other worry than living out the rest of his life in peace. For awhile he’d fed his anger, his hatred of the elder pokemon for their actions, but what finally drove him out of his hiding was the pressing need to find something. He knew something was calling out to him, but no clue what, but it was close....but right now he was hungry. Time to hunt.

Mira was frustrated as she stalked the land around the town. She’d been trying for weeks to catch a pokemon, but seemed so far she had no luck. Few appeared in any places she looked, and those that did quickly escaped her pokeballs. Finally, she’d decided to try finding some at night...that perhaps if she could catch them sleeping? Well, it had about as much chance to work as any of her other tries....

Hours later, the night at it’s fullest, Mira gave up and just sat down where she was and lay back on the cool grass. Staring at the stars above, the young blue-haired teenager could hear her mother lecture her about patience and what-not that all great trainers had, and she rolled her eyes in response. How was she ever going to become a trainer if she couldn’t even find, much less catch, a pokemon?? “You just don’t get it, Mom...” she muttered and sighed despondently. Finally unable to restrain herself further (and sure no one was close by) she sat up, hugged her knees, and screamed as loud as she could, hoping by doing so she could relax and think. Keeping her eyes closed long after the sound of her yell had drifted away, Mira waited till her body had relaxed before opening them....and there stood an Absol.

It blinked at her. She blinked back.

Having been summoned by the scream, disregarding his scavenging plans he’d been making, as deep inside his first nature was to help those in need (not to mention he hoped it was his old trainer friend once more), BC had bounded away until he’d come upon the human girl, possibly near the age of his old trainer and regarded her in confusion. Was she okay? Was she hurt? Why had she screamed?

His questions remained unanswered as they stared each other down. Finally, he asked, “Sol?” Frustrated when she did nothing more than blink at him, he sneezed and made to walk away.

“Wait! Aren’t you...with a trainer? Are you...lost?” Mira finally managed to ask upon spying the collar around his neck, nearly hidden in his fur. “Come here..come here...I won’t hurt you...” She reached out a hand hoping he’d let her touch him. She tried to get a sense of his personality, and perhaps a bit of his trainer’s so that she could find them, but she had little luck in that.

BC had turned away, lifting one paw before pausing at her voice. Turning his head, he regarded her for a time, sniffing the air for any trace of dishonestly. Sensing none, he slowly turned back around, continually watching her, moving one paw at a time till a few minutes later, he was close enough to reach out his muzzle and sniff her hand. Still he moved no closer, not sure of her intent. Few humans regard his kind with any likeness, blaming his species on the bad luck that befell them, never mind if it wasn’t natural or not, but still he could sense nothing wrong with her. She seemed nice enough...

Just then the Absol’s stomach growled and Mira grinned, moving her hands now to take rumage in her pack for the sandwich she’d made earlier that evening before leaving her house. The pokemon startled at the sudden action, wary as one should be of a stranger, but he merely backed off a few steps. She hardly dared to take her eyes from him for fear he’d disappear soon as she did, she used only her hands to search and quickly produced the sandwich and unwrapped it. Holding it a little closer to her, she offered him the food, calling to him quietly in a reassuring voice. Wary of a trap, he took his time approaching, but finally the Absol reached out for the food and carefully began eating it. She reached out her other hand to pet his soft fur, and encouraged by the fact he didn’t flinch from her touch, she reached out towards his collar. Perhaps his trainer’s name was on there?

What she found, instead, was only the words “Beautiful Chaos” which she whispered aloud. By the pokemon’s reaction to the name (he regarded her carefully before huffing and turning back to the food), she couldn’t help but grin. “Beautiful Chaos...what a beautiful name for a beautiful pokemon. Perhaps I should call you BC?” The Absol sneezed as he sat back on his haunches, and Mira took that as acceptance. “Ok, then BC it is...Why don’t you stay the night with me, and tomorrow, we’ll try to find your trainer, okay?” She scratched his head lightly before standing up and urging him to follow her home. “Maybe this isn’t forever, but believe me, BC, having you for company would make me very happy even for tonight.” Mira wondered if she’d be lucky enough to perhaps get a pokemon as a reward for her finding BC, and grinned at the random thought though she put little stock into the idea....little did she know that their friendship was merely begining.

True, but I'll stick with what I got..one, not sure if I'll be on before then and two, I might ruin it xd

Either way, I'm not worried, since BC will go to a wonderful home no matter what and even if it's not with me heart I'll get my first pokemon from here eventually, and I'm not overly worried as to how soon it might be especially with my limited access as it is right now 3nodding

Trying For: Beautiful Chaos
Prompt Response: Beautiful Chaos... The Absol also smirked at the irony of Yin's name for him. Two completely opposite forces brought together in a single Pokemon. Sometimes, he wondered why it was that Isamu forced him away from his home in Inhinx, but the notion was always fleeting. As much as he despised the other Absol, he never would have seen this much of Zatao. It was one thing he grudgingly admitted to himself... He shook his head, banishing the bitter thoughts from his mind.

It didn't do to dwell on the past. It would only make him more bitter. And he was bitter enough as it was. If he became any more bitter, there might not be any warmth left in his heart. And that would no doubt make him the same as Isamu.

Chaos sighed absently, getting to his paws and shaking himself. He needed a walk to clear his mind. He paused before leaving, glancing towards Motterossa, where his trainer was no doubt staying before he trotted deeper into Seatence Valley. He had to admit this place was perfect for him - chilly and beautiful. He did his best not to disturb the quiet beauty of the night, gentle paws avoiding the flowers even as a brisk wind rushed past his ears. He preferred this place to the crowded Katarina. He couldn't stop himself from smiling at the sight of a Persian teaching her young Meowth how to fish in a nearby creek.

Yes... Truly, this place was his paradise.
