Charlie raised an eyebrow. "That wasn't what I meant..." he mumbled before settling back into being quite and blank-faced. This is why he had never been a damn conversationalist after the war - people were so damn easy to offend!

"Yes, for being male. And usually that only happened if one came from a particularly good family or well bred stock." he mumbled darkly, shaking his head somewhat. "There's a reason it was destroyed."

Charlie would be unfamiliar with the term 'bamf' were it not one of Ixxie's all time favorite things to say. She's been one of the only females he'd come into contact with back home who'd been good to him - one of the only ones outside of that society he'd so hated. But then, Ixxie had been banished from his home country anyway - she was a lesbian so far as most people knew and rather masculine herself. Being born female had been the only thing that got her banished instead of imprisoned or killed.

"About three months and what the hell is a twink?" he asked, turning his head towards the other man then. Luckily for the both of them, he kept it at an angle where his hair didn't start causing irksome problems - he honestly didn't understand how Charlene's didn't do that! "The only thing I seem to run into is extremely effeminate guys and those aren't at all appealing."

Charlie shrugged. "There was and wasn't a lack where I came from. There were a lot more twinks back then since that was the only way some people could pass their sons off as daughters and keep them safe. The more manly guys were usually ended up working the mines and things like that, but they were only allowed to get strong to a certain level - if they got too tough, they were killed."

About that time he thought back on something he'd realized when he first saw Odin. "I hadn't seen any tall guys until I came to Gaia, that's for sure. Trait seemed to be bred out a lot - Ixxie said something about the bitches having complexes when it came to tall guys."

"I was considered large by most standards at home - at least for a while. Stupid spell kept me at their 'average' height. I managed to be about 2 inches above the norm but still." Charlie was still sore about the matter of not being allowed to get any taller - particularly when he was around Bailey and Kahlua. Kahlua's family was naturally pretty much giant-sized, he'd been told, and Bailey was already growing rather large.

"Yeah it wasn't so much where I came from - even if I had had something to keep that jackass Tashmike off my back when I was taller than him - it's here that I notice it so damn much. My nephews are all young sprats and already they're getting taller than I am." he rolled his eyes at that. Such a point of contention these days.

"Oh? Already? Well that's good then. I hadn't noticed the time."

"Fine by me. Probably for the best. Ixxie said I get fidgety if I'm sitting for a piece too long. Which is probably true." Charlie mumbled, internally rolling his eyes at himself. Some habits die hard and the habit of not liking to be unable to move - particularly at the cost of part of him being immobile made him feel very vulnerable and Charlemagne Darstmoore did NOT like to feel vulnerable.
