Out of the blue, a hamster (not in its ball) ran into the living room, through Ialo's legs and in a U-turn to Asia. Following it was a long black snake and following the snake was an owl. On the heels of the trio were three boys--Athanasios (six and a half), Artemis (19), and Avel (17). They were calling after their respective pets with shouts of 'Pello!', 'Nyx!', and 'Orestes!'. Though it would be impossible to tell without prior knowledge, Pello was the scared hamster Asia now held in her hands, Nyx was the black snake who was curiously slithering up Ialo's leg, and Orestes was the owl who'd landed on said person's head and was now glaring down at the snake. It was apparent, though, that they'd been chasing each other.

Orestes, a bit disgruntled, left his perch on Ialo's head to sit on Avel's. Avel was swift to take the owl to his arm and reprimand him. "You're not supposed to chase Nyx and you know it! But noooo, Nyx is too funnnnn. No treats for the rest of the day!" Of course, Avel would forget all about the punishment soon enough, but for now... "Sorry about that," he apologised.

"Yeah, thanks. And sorry," Artemis said, taking Nyx back. "Nyx is a bit... obsessed with hamsters--she ate one once and can't wait for more. Which is why none of the rodent types aren't supposed to leave without balls." Then he reprimanded Nyx in the same manner that Orestes had been, but he would actually follow through with the punishment.

Athanasios, however, just took Pello and then stood shyly behind Asia, apologizing to the trembling hamster and cuddling it closely. Asia sighed. "I really do apologize. We have a problem with keeping the pets in their cages and from chasing each other." Then, without turning around, she added to Adria, "Don't even think about it, young man." Crab in hand (he'd probably been intending to prank someone), the boy sighed and returned upstairs.

Not knowing that someone knew they were in the area, Danni set her hands on her hips, staring down her two older siblings. "Well, I'm just going to ask directions." She stated, and Ambrose looked around. "From who?" He demanded, not seeing anybody. "Right there, in that...what the hell is it called...alley. Right there in the alley. There's a group of perfectly kind young men over there. So just wait here while I go." Before Ambrose could hold her back, Danni was dashing across the street. "Izzy, wait!" He called, but she just ignored him.

She instead approached a group of about a dozen boys, all wearing holey, baggy jeans and dirty muscle shirts. Quite a few were smoking cigarettes, and they all screamed 'city gang'. Of course, since Danni had never been on the mainland before, she had no clue that this was a bad thing. "Hey, any of y'all know how to get to the high school from here? We're kinda lost." She said, hands in her pockets as she looked at the group.

They just kind of stared at her for a moment before one stepped forward, arms crossed over his chest. He dropped the cigarette he'd been smoking, putting it out with the heel of his shoe. "And just who might you be to come waltzing on in here?" He demanded, sneering even as a few of the others went around behind her, efficiently circling her. But Danni didn't even flinch. "Danni Rinaldi. What's your name?" She asked, using the manners her Ma had pounded into her head.

The man raised a brow, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a blade. "Really now, are ya just plain stupid? Ya got a mental problem or something?" He asked, and before Danni could reply, Ambrose pushed through the people behind her, taking her by the shoulders. "Yes, she does, actually. Sorry about that, guys. I didn't mean to let her out of my sight."

He looked down at Danni the way a man would scolding a little child. "Now Danni, you know better than to go running off. What would Doctor Truman say if he found out you ran? He might put you back in the white room again." He said in a chiding voice, and Danni sighed mentally, knowing she was probably in trouble, so she played along, making her voice whiny and childlike.

"But big bro, I don't like the white room. It's lonely in there...I was just asking these nice guys the way to the school. Daddy'll get mad if we show up late. I don't like it when Daddy gets mad." She said, tugging on Ambrose's sleeve. The man who's pulled out the blade stepped back awkwardly, obviously not wanting any part in this.

"Well, whatever, just...get her out of here, man. We don't need no crazies on our street." He said, and Ambrose nodded. "Right, thanks." He said, and led Danni away by the hand, to around the corner where Lia was waiting. As soon as they were out of sight, Danni tugged her hand out of Ambrose's grasp, scowling. "How was I supposed to know they weren't...what's the word...upstanding citizens?" She demanded, and Ambrose gave her a level look. "Maybe by the way they dress." Lia put in, and Danni raised a brow, crossing her arms.

"They dress like I do." She said, looking down at her jeans that were threadbare and had a few holes in them. "Yeah, well, would people consider a tomboy sorceress who specializes in black magic an 'upstanding citizen'?" Lia pointed out, and Danni just shrugged, grinning. "Maybe. You know, bro, I could've just turned them all into frogs and walked away. Still wouldn't know where the damn school was, but I'd've been happy." She said, and Ambrose sighed, ruffling her hair before gesturing for them to start walking again.

Kai flew in low to the city. He was low enough to not be seen, but high enough to not run into a building. He landed on the roof of a rather short building, and looked around to check if anyone was around. He scanned the entire roof saying "No one, no one, no one... Ok good!" as he checked the corners. Kai began walking to the ally side of the roof, He looked down seeing to no one was there either. "OK! Good, no one saw me." he muttered before his wings disappeared into his back and the runes on his eyes lightened to almost invisible lines. The second that his transformation into his human form completed he jumped down falling four stories to hit the ground kicking up some dust and garbage. "Now to wind those kids before they get themselves killed in this city. I know they don't enjoy the gifted in their city."
(im only saying that cause if you think about it a giant fire god took out half the world everyone would be a bit afraid o a guy with demonic wings, and siblings that can raise the dead)

A tall man, dressed in fine attire (if not a bit worn out; there were rips in several places) stepped out from a doorway before the trio. He was rather strange to look upon, despite his clothing. He wore pristine white gloves that heavily contrasted against his black suit. His hands hung nearly to his knees on his extremely long legs, giving him a very lanky appearance. Most notable though, was the fact that his entire face, actually, it seemed to be his entire body, was wrapped in linen cloth, much like a mummy. Only his bright blond hair seemed exposed.
He offered an outstretched hand to the trio.
"Perhaps I can be of service?"

"Yes, in fact I do. I was sent here to retrieve you by a friend of mine. Its taken me quite a bit of time to track you down, much longer than it should have. I was told your visits to the mainland are few and far between in the least, and I can already see that you have no idea where you've landed. Welcome to Bergen, located about 400 miles from your current destination."
While talking, he was leaning over. His lanky body only furthered the fact that he must have been around 8 feet tall.

Out of nowhere Kai appeared between them. "sorry, but you don't touch them! I'm not sure If I'm right but I wouldn't trust an aura like yours for a millennium." In his hand was his claymore, with spikes down the blade and the hilt. He held it to his side in front of the trio as a way to guard them. Kai watch the man carefully as the runes on his eyes grew darker.
