22 and in Michigan. I really never thought about how old anyone was on Gaia, but now that I'm here in the guild, I'm very happy to have serious conversations, or, at least conversations that have a bit more bite to them. Half-assed discussion made me lose hope in the regular forums, that's why I rarely venture out of the many guilds I'm part of.

Regular forums confused We have regular forums on Gaia these days? GD has turned in to what the CB was when I first joined, if not worse. The size of someone's equipment just doesn't seem much like general discussion. burning_eyes These days I don't venture far from the guild as most of the gaians I meet are 12 going on 4. Is it really necessary to attempt to insult every person you see?
And why isn't there a "sadly shaking my head" emoticon?

I was just about ready to give up on Gaia until I found some people around my age (29). I'm not on here a lot but I ready to meet someone with something besides high school troubles to talk to.

I'm twenty two and I was aboutto give up on gaia myself. Then I saw someone else's profile with this guild on it and it amused me so much. I'm glad to know I can sit here and speak to someone who isn't going to chat speak me to death.

Not sure if I posted here yet but in case I haven't...
I'm 24 and it seems more and more young people are joining Gaia. Not that long ago, my niece joined and it made me feel old because I've had accounts on Gaia since '03 so imagine! Besides, she is 11 and her mother gave her permission to be on it. I just keep an eye on her.
If anything, it is difficult to find people around my age to talk to on here. That's why I come here to find you guys lol. It gets annoying after a while when you are reading the same old childish posts in some forums while other forums are perfectly mature and interesting. Pixy wings Actually most of the people I meet on Gaia are around 14. I was so glad to find this guild! Oh and I'm 22 by the way. I loooooooove your sig and the homage to dr who heart I am 27, been on gaia since 03 and every now and then, and since the recent poll they took said most gaians spend alot of their time in the forums I check them and most of the time I remember why I stick to guilds lol. I was pleasantly surprised by the art forums at least there is a place not constantly talking about twilight or parts of the anatomy.

Thank god for the spotlight on this guild. I've always been the one to act younger than my age, but I'm almost twenty-five and I'm on Gaia more than my sister and her 19-year-old friends. I just moved to New Jersey a few years ago (after I graduated high school) so the only friends I have that aren't from my job are hers or my parents'. My life pretty much sucks so I spend endless hours avoiding my novels by loitering on Myspace and Gaia. I'm so pathetic.

I'm 29, nearly 30. I just usually say 'older than you' when people ask my age, because on Gaia i'm right about 99% of the time. Except here and in the 'Craftin'' guild.
I think the forums are really the hangout of A. immature people who want attention or B. cliques of people who don;t have a real life so they get thier jollies being mean to everyone else (also immature) so really, IMHO, guilds are the way to go on Gaia. There are several guilds with very mature members, even the ones who are under 18

i am 25 and started a few months ago. i work at an after school outreach program that is a "cyber cafe" which is a bank of computers and we feed them. a friend who is now 19 got me into gaia. most of the people i have been talking to are in high school. since i work with kids i went through all of the child abuse training and i do not want to be a predator. i was so happy to find a guild with people out of high school where i can hopefully be friends with and not agonize about every word said. i defiantly was feeling surrounded by "kids" though. hence seeking out the gaian "geezers"

But I got started 3 years ago . . . so technically I used to fit into that 18age category.

I'm 21 and I started a little over 2 years ago. I gotta say though, I was actually kinda glad to have given some advise about how all teenage boys really want is sex to this 15 year-old girl and it turns out I was right. She PMed me about a week later telling me her horror story on how her then boyfriend tried to force himself on her. I sometimes hate that I can be right about stuff like that but, hey, I have the misfortune of being in that same situation when I was about that age. I guess not all kids that age are lost causes. MOST, but not all.

I don't post much in the main forums, for sure. I only post in the site feedback once in a while. That forum is pretty civil.
Most of the time I post in a guild. I am in several and I have found others closer to my age as well. I am 36 (ahem) wink
As long as a person is not rude and obnoxious, I'll try to be a friend as much as I can. However, I refuse to post about sex on a public forum. It's not proper. I just avoid all topics of that nature.
