Keishi looked on in quiet contemplation of the beginning of the next test. Both arms folded across his massive chest the man’s eye did not blink once at the horrific scene before him. All the samurai warrior knew was that Seshiro was not making a good start like in the first test. Perhaps his body was too beaten from the melting pot to fully adapt to this test. Although torture needed a lot of mental strength also. The strain on both physical and emotional maybe at their point. Keishi also had to look at the percentage against him too. Only an eight of the people who made it this far survived. Everyone else either died or submitted the information. Seshiro may have been an Orochi, but he was only human. Keishi had a good feeling about this one, but the odds were not in the snake teen’s favor. Not at all. “What happened to that spark in your eyes to succeed Seshiro? You did so well the first time? Is this all you can give? Was this all the Orochi could give? My expectations were too high for a shinobi.”

Negative Motivation: +3 to Seshiro’s next roll

Seshiro fell back into one of the swords and as soon as the hot blade touched him he arched in the opposite direction in pain. His eyes where barely opened and every hit he took was almost impossible to evade. He tried moving a little as the hits came by him but the burning feeling where the sword had touched him was too much. The area was schorched and although Seshiro knew he could heal real fast from it , faster than most people, he wasnt given a chance right now.

" You Samurai are insane, I like that"

His swollen face shot the words at Keishi or atleast in the direction he thought he was. The swelling was a lot so it prevented him from seeing very well where he was. Just as he tried opening his eyes further A blow came at him and hit him right in the stomach.

Torture 2: Burning Sword Prison
A place where someone becomes 'tatooed' if not physically and mentally strong. It is a small cubicle with a chain running down from the top. This is used to secure the prisoner's arms above his head. Below the prisoner is a line made out of red marker with a radius of three feet. Outside of that three feet are dozens of swords pointed towards the prisoner. All of them have been super heated to the point the swords have a red glimmer. Stepping out can only mean the prisoner in chains will be burnt. A piercing burn of this magnitude is not good for the body. Internal injury may occur. Seshiro... do not let the torturers knock you out of the circle.

The wind moved to make way to whatever it was they where hitting him with and the blow striked fast and hard. Seshiro's stomach tensed for the hit and when the pain came his body didnt even flinched. The force of the hit dispersed throught his body without even moving him.

" Do your worst"

Seshiro was determined to finish this to the end. He could die here but if he did atleast he had done so honorably. During his past he had been tumbling from one thing to the other going along with what happened around him. He followed his brother, obeyed his superiors , went to war against his own people, No more, it was time to take his own actions, to clean after his own mess. He would join these samurai, gather what he could from them and when he felt it was time, then move on. It was his time to go hunting and there where two prey he had set his eyes upon. A smile formed in his face or atleast what tried to be a smile and then another hit came, this one was aimed at his legs trying to make him loose his balance and fall over the swords.

His feet slid off from under him and hes body ended swinging from his tied hands in the chain. As his body swinged one of the blazing swords caught him in the shoulder. The swrord burned his clothes and sliced a bit of flesh on his shoulder. The one good thing about these injuries where that the swords where at such a hot state that as soon as they sliced through flesh, the metal cauterized the wound preventing the Prisoner from bleeding to death.

" Grrrrr"

He grunted as the blade burned into his skin. The fact that Seshiro wouldnt bleed to death wasnt exactly good news in this situation, its simply meant that he would have to suffer this torture even for a longer period. Not even a second was given to him to regain strength for the hits kept coming

A blow came and smashed to the side of his face. Blood trickled from Seshiro's lip as his head whipped sideways. His left cheek passed mere centimeters away from a sword and the area turned slightly red because of the heat even so it didnt even touch the actual sword.

" You know?... THis aint half bad...Nice way to get a sun tan. Hey now i know why you guys are so few in numbers, Hehe. Advice from me to you guys....Soldiers arent born. They are made. Instead of throwing weaklings here and have them die in search of strong ones. Train them, 200 moderately decent soldiers may well be of use rather than one good one every year"

The hits kept coming bringing silence to Seshiro's speech. He really believed what he had said to Keishi, Samurai's seemed small in numbers compared to not the shinobi in shima but to shinobi's all around the world. If they really wanted to fight against all shinobi they would begetting into a fight way out of their grasp of victory.

Keishi rubbed his chin as the teenage viper spoke back with courage. Or perhaps it was his way of dealing with the pain? Either way it was amusing the Keishi to watch this boy continue on throughout the pain. It made his Damascus steel spirit that much more aroused with joy and passion. The exceeding big man kept his body in check though. As excited he was getting by this the male did not want to trip over something and fall. That would just take away from the entire torture experience. As his eyes looked on to the beaten body of Seshiro, now brandishing different burn scars and piercings that stood out greatly against the white skin, the man would state his own opinion. This is probably where samurai and shinobi ideals differ.

“Hmm you speak big about our procedures while you’re within it. It may be your shinobi style to just recruit people who just make the standard or those who just pass the bar, but that’s not samurai style. We are quality over quantity. We don’t run from fights or make sneak attacks like rats in the dark. We don’t use tricks or scams to get ahead. It’s because you shinobi use such tricks that most of you are just ‘moderately decent’.” the hardened torturer stated walking closer to see Seshiro’s skeleton. His body paced to the sides behind his subordinates slightly skewed in the darkness. “There are no tricks or ploys in the samurai way other than the battlefield. We rely purely on our strength, strategy of the mind and skill of the sword. You can’t be ‘moderately decent’ and expect to protect a nation. Or your way of life. Or the ones most precious to you.” The usually burly voice of Keishi was still rough, but quiet. Growing more silent till his last words drifted off into the air.

“Strength and honor. That is the way of the samurai. One of my well trained boys can take down at least fifty of your standard shinobi. Well that’s how it used to be. You’re on our side now, so you’ll see just how strong we are. Well that is if you survive. Ha. Boys why don’t hit him across the thighs and test how strong his manhood really is.” Keishi walked away back into his initial position. His mind was curious as to how much more the teen snake could take. The man hoped a lot more. He just may make a fine samurai. If he didn’t give up.

“Come on Seshiro. Are you just ‘moderately decent’ like the rest?” the man stated trying to spur the boy to exceed to victory.

Seshiro kept his eyes to the ground all the time as Keishi spoke. By the looks of his body he was about to pass out at any moment. His face was dripping small drops of blood because of the last hit to his forehead. Keishi's words sank deeply in his head as they boomed in the closed space he was being held. The samurai prepared themselves to complete their order. With the poles and other items they where using to hit him they swinged towards his noble parts as instructed and in that same moment Seshiro jerked his head up sending blasts of blood from his forehead all around. An evil laughter escaped his mouth before he spoke and the men hitting him froze.

" Haaaahahahaha. I am the Best and I will Prove it to you!!!!! I will gain all the strength that can be aquired and ill hunt down every Shinobi Myself if thats the only way to prove im the Best, You HEAR MEEE????!!!!!"

His words echoed through the small chamber and to the outside of the device . Two Voices could be heard in his words as if Seshiro and Id had become one for that moment. The samurai shook their hesitation for a moment and swinged at him with all their strength. As the Hit came Seshiro lifted a knee to hit the weapon back as to protect his parts with whatever strength he had.

The hit in the knee echoed through and into his body.Seshiro's eyes , although his face was swollen, menacingly looked at his torturers. His jaw msucles tensed as he bit hard.

" Is that the best you got? Hit us come on you can do better than that"

Once again the echoed voice was heard as if Someone else was also speaking with Seshiro. Hit came and Seshiro didnt flinch. The sound of the pounding wood in his body could disgust a mere person but the people around here looking at his self being beated down werent normal men.

Seshiro could feel the heat of rage flowing through him. The feeling was that of blood boiling inside him. The hits kept coming but nothing flinched him from his position. As every hit connected, his body shook in place. Sweat triclked from him and evaporated as it fell on the hot floor , walls and Flaming swords around him. The place was as hot as a furnace and Seshiro was feeling already shivers. A shot came and he wasnt prepared to take it. The pole hit him squared in the hip loosing his legs grip on the floor. Just as he slipped A sword tip got stuck on his back making him jerk forward in pain.

Seshiro's body coulndt take it anymore. He had with held hits without even shaking or second guessing but just now His kittle second breath was over. Blow after blow Seshiro dangled in the machine being slashed and burned by the Furnace-hot swords but luckily he hadnt gotten impaled yet by any of them.

" Ahhhhh!!!!"

Came his shout as he hit another sword. The flaming sword had scorched and slashed a line across his left cheek. A hit had thrown him hard enough to actually get his face near one of the swords

Just when Seshiro thought he was a goner he felt it. It was a heat like none other. It burned Seshiro but from the inside. He felt his eyes hot and burning from behind his eyesockets and his breath felt like fire toi him. A hit came and Seshiro placed his head right in front of the pole and rather than getting hi he stopped the pole with his forehead.

" Enough is enough! you can be here all day, but i wont give in. WE are loosing time here"

An evil smile ion his face adorned the already creeppy eyes and the smirk on his mouth. Blood was coming down from his forehead because of the hit and fell into his eyes and face ye hi didnt flinch. The others tried hitting him again but Seshiro simply stood sill in place like a statue, his marble like skin now all crimson making his eyes capture a fiery tone. It was as if a great shadown hung over him and didnt let him move even a muscle, not even in self defense. But more importantly. Seshiro showed no sing of pain.

Keishi was overjoyed the boy survived this far, but at the same time he was about to let his colleagues release the boy something even made the man open his eyes in shock. ‘Hunt down every shinobi’? ‘Hit us’? Who was us? And most importantly what was this twin tone within the voice. As if someone else was speaking at the same time with him. The older man did not know what to make of it except Seshiro had just reached his limits with the torture. “Ok guys let’s get him down from here. He’s proven himself worthy of the samurai name. That and I want to see if he will hunt down every shinobi” the man stated calmly although deep down his brain was a little worried he had broken his mind with the pain. It would not be the first time it happened right at the end. The fate that lay for him after that too would not be pretty. For now though Keishi let it goes and keep a close surveillance on his being. “Hey chibi-Chiyo! You can have him back now! The boy actually survived!” the middle aged samurai roared so loud that the foundation made a small shiver. On the outside there was no doubt that Chiyo heard him so it was only a matter of minutes before she bounced in. After watching such a horrific trial for the day, Keishi found it about time to probably head home and enjoy the relaxing company of his family. He wanted to see his daughter today because she was asleep and did not wish him off this morning. That could only happen though if Shura did not have any more work for him. The man contemplated this as his companions began to unchain Seshiro from his bind.

The samuraia working on the torture furnace came over to unchain Seshiro. When they approached their hands near his head , witha sharp move he tried to bite at their hands. As they jumped back in alert he stopped. He hadnt notice till now that they had stopped hitting him. As soon as he was loose he stumbled on his feet struggling to stay on them. When he finally managed to stand still he looked around towards where Keishi was standing

"What now? What next"

He looked for a wall where he could lean to and then searched for somewhere to sit down and rest. He knew that they probably where going to give him another trial, but although his mind was ready and determined, His body was not.

User Image Outside the building where the new recruits screams could be heard, Chiyo was play hopscotch with the stone walkway. The sounds of torment and interrogation didn't phase the girl as she innocently played nearby. She was very used to hearing these sounds. When she heard her name, Chiyo stopped her game and cheerfully entered the room. "Congratulations!" the little girl said with a bright smile on her face. "Oh! You look like you've gone through a lot of pain," the pale faced teen said as she tilted her head watching Seshiro struggle to stand. "Next? Next, you get to rest and enjoy your stay in a warm bath!" Chiyo said, glad to tell the snake man that his trial was over. "Shura-nee will call you when you're needed! Come! Come! I'll show you to your room," Chiyo said as she waved Seshiro to follow her. She did not offer an arm for him to lean on, even though he could barely stand. He would have to make it to his room to clean up on his own. "Bye, bye, Keishi-kun!" Chiyo waved to the interrogator just before leaving out the door.

Luckily, the room wasn't far from where Seshiro had been tested and with only walking a few meters, Chiyo had stopped in front of a door. "This is your room! One of our servants is already inside waiting to dress your wounds and make sure you're bandaged properly. If you need anything let her know," Chiyo said with a cute smile. "Rest well, Orochi-san!" the cheerful girl said as she skipped away from the tattered young man.

[Katz, you can go ahead and reward him for the exercises he completed.]

[Seshiro can do one exercise while settling down and tending to his wounds. Then make an exit post for the day.]
