Seth sighed in frustration. "That wasn't what the spell was suppose to do though. Something went wrong somewhere. When you lit the scroll on fire it seemed to have triggered a different reaction. But what though?" he straighten up some.

"Besides, I have been putting you in danger by giving you things that you aren't ready for" he slammed his head back against the wall.

Femi winced when his head met the wall, for some reason it made her feel absolutely horriable to him hurt himself. "But Master Seth!" She protested, moving closer to him and stopping short of a few inches. If he were one of her brothers she probably would've hugged him by now, but she knew very well that Seth had barriers to respect; still, he couldn't protest if she moved closer, right? "I want to learn and I can't get better unless you push me!" She explained in a rather loud and somewhat angry voice, frowning at him. She thought for a moment and her expression softened, eyes going wider. "Besides, you keep me safe, right?" She asked him, fixing the big wide eyed look on the region she determined to be his eye area inside of his hood.

Seth sensed how close Femi was getting to him and he cringed back against the wall more. "How far can I go to keep you safe though?" he muttered. "I have pushed you Femi, but I did something that was reckless today and I'm not going to forgive myself that easily for that".

Something was bothering Seth though. Something clicked in his head during the storm. He didn't know what though. He pushed that thought aside and tried to concentrate on what was going on right now. "What are your families opinion on you being around me Femi?" he asked suddenly pulling his hood back slightly enough for him to see Femi but not enough for her to see his eyes.

Her heart skipped a beat for a second before it began to feel like it was filling up with negative emotions; why did he have to ask that question? She frowned at him for a second before moving away from him, trying her best to cut her expression off so it revealed nothing. What kind of a question was that, anyway? And how exactly had it managed to make her feel happy and then so suddenly very sick? Well, she knew where the sick feeling came from, but not the happy one.

Expression very carefully blank and voice gaurded, she decided to pick her words very carefully so that they wouldn't be lies, only half-truths. "They are supportive of me becoming a magician..." She explained carefully, and this was true; her family was supportive of her descion to become a magician, they would probably prefer priestess since it would make up for the fact that she had skipped the coming of age ceremony and had instead went hunting for someone to apprientice under, but they were supportive.

Of course, she also clearly remembered Ottah's words from that morning... Her brothers and her father as well almost made it a rule to insult Seth at every chance given to do so: he wasn't trustworthy, he wasn't worthy of her prescence, he was a curse, he would cause trouble, look at what he was, she was only an experiment to him to test spells on, just look at the now permanant spell in her arm, he was corrupting her; the list pretty much went on like that for awhile. Though, they never tried to force her to leave, they just did their best to discourage.

Seth smirked. Femi was dancing around the question which only meant one thing. Sure, her family most likely was supportive of her training just not who she was learning from. Seth sighed and finally pulled his hood back looking at Femi. "That's good then Femi" he said hiding under a slight smile.

Seth pushed himself away from the wall and stood up. He offered out his hand to help Femi from the ground. At least you have someone who cares a voice in his head stated. He smothered that voice mentally keeping himself from hoping too much.

Vaugely Femi noted her heart did the odd skip again, and her cheeks felt kind warm again too; despite everything this was turning out to be a fairly good day after all. 'Master Seth has taken his cloak off completely, taught me a new spell that did admittedly go wrong, forgave me for destroying it, pulled his hood back yet again, and he's even smiling slightly. Yes, this is a good day.' She thought to herself, not really bothering to question too much why exactly all those things had to do with Seth. Instead of looking too deeply into that she shot him a bright smile and took his hand, pulling herself up to her feet.

Aleks felt more than a little irked at the way the man simply turned and left. Of course, hadn't he tried to do the same thing by running away to Egypt?

No. No, that wasn't the same thing at all.

But the man was right; they did need to get moving. As soon as Aleks took his own first step, though, yet another woman showed up.

...What? He had come to trust that odd feeling, but... it hadn't even hinted that anyone else might be out here.

Of course, she wasn't exactly dressed like the rest of them... Was it possible she was, perhaps, a native of whatever place this was? Unaffected by whatever fluke had brought them here?

He once again instinctively looked to Nadira. He told himself it was because Nadira was closer to the woman, but in reality, he was growing hot and tired and wanted to get moving. Nadira, he expected, would be able to get through any formalities quickly so that they could move.

Seth thought about what else he could possibly do. He suddenly remembered his lack of money and sighed in frustration. He might as well get it over with. "Femi, you can go back home if you like we are done for the day. I have to run and take care of somethings." he told Femi, pulling his hood back up again and walking to stand at the door. He didn't like to degrade himself and considered it would be worse to do so in front of his apprentice.

((Latin will be italics and Ancient Egyptian will be Bolded))
"Pardon me, but may I ask what you people are doing out here in the desert in such strange clothing?" she asked with a bright smile on her face. Karah didn't act like a cold blooded murder which was perfect for her to blend in as best as she could. "It doesn't look like some of you are from around here" she stated referring to the color of their skin. "Is there anything I can help you with?" she asked smiling.

Frowning to herself and not even really thinking, Femi walked over to where he was standing in the doorway and grabbed his hand again, something she probably would never even have thought of doing had she been thinking. "I want to come with you, Master Seth," She told him in a rather stubborn sounding voice, and then she smiled slightly. "I like spending the day with you." She explained happily, clearly not noticing the fact she had just infiltrated the proverbial personal space bubble.

Seth grimaced at the fact Femi wanted to go with him. He looked down to where her hand held his, a little shocked that she would do something so bold, but not really bothered by the fact of it. He looked back at her. "Are you sure?" he questioned still not wanting Femi see him preform in front of people for money. "Your family might wonder where you are at?" he stated starting out the door towards the line of street performers.

Noticing Seth's head move down for a second Femi suddenly realized what she had done and let go quickly, stepping away and turning bright red. 'Gods above I can't believe I did that,' She thought to herself in shock, stomach and heart both doing little flip flops while her face felt increasingly warm. 'Why didn't he say anything? Was that... alright?' She wondered to herself, deciding to test that theory out later, much later, and hope he had forgotten this incident by then so it would be an unbiased reaction.

She took a deep breath carefully, made an attempt to calm herself, and then forced a smile back on. "The-th-they knnn-" She paused and wondered for a moment on what intresting sounds she was making trying to speak. "Knnnewr." Femi mumbled, trying not to laugh at how ridiculous she sounded because she was embarrassed. "I t-told them this morning where I'd be." She finally choked out, almost sighing in relief at getting it out. 'Whew, finally... of course, I did leave before they could tell me not to go, but hey... What Master Seth doesn't know won't kill him.'

Seth sighed. "Very well then." he commented starting towards the line of performers looking for a nice empty space that he could occupy that there was a good distance between him and the performers around him. He was cursing in his mind. He took the first area that was up to par with his standards which mostly involved that it had to be up against a wall and he had to have his own personal working space. He sat up against the wall and shifted his cloak around himself and made it cover his face better. "Sit Down, Femi" he said loathing himself for letting Femi follow him.

Frowning Femi did as she was told, but she didn't stop looking at him with big worried eyes. "Master, are you alright?" She asked carefully, remembering not to use his name while they were out in public. He sounded so strange, and she knew he hated being around people, so why exactly was he about to do what it looked like he was about to do?

Seth looked at the ground. "I'm out of money and when that happens I have to stoop to the level that these people have put themselves on" he explained waving his hand down the line of people. He lowered his head trying to keep from look at Femi. "I don't like doing this but I have to sometimes" he stated looking at the ground. "You wanted to join me, so here we are" he muttered
