Vi seemed to nod,though she was still skeptical. "Alright...just be careful now..." She pleaded as she led him towards the kitchen. Even though Vi had become physically stronger, supporting a full grown man was still rather difficult for her, but she tried her best not to grunt or show the difficulty in her face.

~~~~~~~~~~~~ *kinda playing off the last post from the house.* "Like bloody hell I need a hospital...we're getting out of here..." She smiled as her eyes flashed a brilliant green. She was in her element. escaping, trying to stay alive, adrenaline pumping, being chased...it was all giving her a great high she hadn't felt in awhile. What was worse was...she liked it. Though the gaping wound in her side wasn't helping her enjoy it. It was starting to hurt a bit now, the numbness slowly fading as she swerved in and out of traffic with an almost professional air. She finally made it to the landing pads, spotting a fuzzy little brown thing, waving them down. She brought the speeder to a halt near what seemed to be the ship that Richard and Enty had been working on with Vi. Little Enty had seemed to make it back to the Landing pads on his own. Equally surprising, was Vi, standing looking exhausted and covered in oil from off the ship. She waved them down with a Rag as Raquel opened the door, pulling herself out of the cramped speeder. She seemed to be able to stand fora moment before collapsing against the speeder for support, obviously, her adrenaline rush nearly entirely gone. Richard hopped out, not noticing Raquel's fall, He was too preoccupied with pulling Lorey to her feet, hugging her tightly. He told her all would be ok before turning to Enty confused. Enty just smiled and went off in his own language. Richard seemed to nod before looking to the others. "He says that He had overheard Raquel and Sveriana earlier before they came for us...so he rushed back here, knowing he couldn't beat them back to the house to warn us. He got Vi to help him finish up the repairs on the engine so we could make a speedy get away." He explained nodding a thanks to Vi who looked utterly horrid. "Its not problem...We all need to get the hell out of here before that death bringer decides to head this way. Del's not doing so good, I left him to rest on his own ship." She looked back at the ship that was relatively near by. She had just finished repairing a decent meal for him to regain some of his strength when enty showed up in a panic. She had tried her best to understand him and finally caught on that he needed the engine back in repair asap. "Though we all need to hurry. I regret tho that this is goodbye. We're going to have to go our separate ways to survive here." She sighed. Poor vi hadn't had a bit of sleep the last night or so now and here she was trying to recover from an earlier attack, emotional stress, and physical stress of repairing their ship in time. Richard nodded, stepping towards her, giving her a quick but warm embrace. "Thank you for all your help...I apologize if we put you in any danger...and I don't think I have a way to repay you." He said regretfully, but Vi shrugged. "Hey...you actually did me a justice....I got Del back....Thats more than enough payment." She smiled even though she knew she and Del both could argue both sides of the situation if it was better or not to be together again. With a quick wave to everyone, she turned to head back to Deilita, only to call over her shoulder: "This isn't goodbye, it's a 'see you soon'! I'm somehow positive we'll cross paths again!" She smiled wearily, taking a running start as she got closer, grabbing a hold of the zip line to bring herself back into the ship. Richard smiled and waved, looking to the others. "I'm afraid shes right about having to leave now. I think I know where we can go to hide out for a bit...till things calm down you know." He said, taking Lorey with one arm around her to lead her towards the ships entrance. "You guys coming?" He called over his shoulder.
Lorey's breath was coming in shakily, but she was alright. Or at least, she kept telling herself that. Her left arm was wrapped around Richard for dear life, while her right was holding a bag of her belongings. Never before had she been so close to a ship, and if it wasn't for the circumstances, Lorey might have enjoed her first flight. Though, the very idea of take-off terrified her.
"Richard," she whispered. "I've never been on one of these things before." Cobalt eyes scanned the area with apprehension. First the escape, now this?
Damian wasn't liking the idea, either, but he would go on board if just to save his Raquel. "Dearest..." And without any more words, he scooped up Raquel and began to carry her to the ship. Any fighting was quelled with his firm grip. "Richard!" he called out, approaching the doorway in pained steps. "Where is your medical wing? We need to go there, now."
There was something in his voice that hadn't been there before... something genuine. Nothing laced with aristocracy or higher living. Just the terror of knowing that someone he cared for was in danger, and not only because of him, but was possibly dying.
Raquel was starting to see things with a fuzzy look again, but hearing Damians genuine worry made her feel...something...she couldn't quite place it. But nevertheless, she shook her head. "A smaller ship like this wouldn't have an entire med center...All I need really is some pliers, gauze and alcohol...." She said quietly, trying hard not to pay any mind to her side. "I'll handle myself Richard, you just get this thing out of here...." She instructed, making a move to be free from Damain's hold, but she was too weak. That ...and she just enjoyed him holding her again.
Richard nodded to her still holding onto Lorey. "There's a small bit of medical supplies in one of the back storage rooms. But I'd suggest seating yourselves for the initial take off alright? Can you hold on that long?" He asked, glancing back as he lowered the ramp to let them all on. Raquel nodded, her arms around Damian's neck at this point.
Enty immediately went to the controls to the front of the ship, leaving Richard to attend to Lorey's apprehension. He kissed her forehead softly before setting her down carefully in one of the seats against the wall of a rather large communal sort of cab. He buckled her in gingerly, kissing her here and thereto calm her down. "I wish I could make this better Love...I promise... the moment we;re a safe range away, I'll be here for just you and me...we're all ok and going to stay that way alright??" He said sweetly as a father to his terrified daughter. "I'll be right back..." He cooed, stroking her hair before turning to join Enty at the front. "The rest of you...hold on...We already have clearance and we're so out of here." He said with a smirk as he started up the large vessel. The engines vroomed to life and his smile grew. "Missed you too..." he patted the ship's control panel with an affectionate air. With a wink to Enty, he started the take off procedures.
Damian set Raquel gingerly down in a chair somewhat close to where Lorey was seated. He buckled her, being so, so careful of her wound. "Hang on," he whispered, before taking her face in his hands. And just before pulling away, he kissed her. But the ship was already starting to lift, forcing him into a seat of his own right next to her. Damian's hand never left hers.
Lorey had never imagined she would leave her home planet like this. As the ship began it's take-off, Lorey clutched her things to her chest. Somewhere within the bag of dresses, underclothing and pajamas was the music box with her mother's picture and ring, along with the rose Richard had bought for her. She loved him, and would be brave for him. But as soon as the engines roared and the entire ship began it's flight into the sky, Lorey could not control her shaking. Eyes closed, her mind concentrated on the song in the music box. Her mother's voice came once more, humming the tune, and everything would be alright again in just a few moments...
Raquel was taken aback by Damian's sudden ginger and gentle way. She liked it...she thought. It was different...and sweet. This was surprisingly the most prevalent thing in her mind as the ship took off. She just looked down at his hand in hers and couldn't get her mind around his kindness...even after supposed betrayal and lies from her side...did he really have true honest to god feelings for her? The take off didn't really affect her...the lightweight feeling in her stomach was something she had experienced in many other, much more negative situations, even though she had never really left the planet before from her knowledge. She didn't think about where they were going, or what it looked like leaving the atmosphere of the smoggy city like planet of Veratia...she just looked at Damian.
Ricahrd and Enty guided the ship up and out of the atmosphere with a great force that made Richard and Enty both smile wider than they had in a long time. Richard even forgot himself and give out an excited shout of success as the ship started to slow down a bit, finally being in the weightlessness of space. He looked behind him, down the narrow hallway, smiling a little less at Lorey's shaking figure, but seemingly in awe of how beautiful she was despite it. Her gorgeous white hair was rising all around her a was a bit of her dress, causing Richard to blush and turn to adjust the gravity aboard the ship.
**tip: idk I just picture their ship to have the same ish layout of the millennium falcon. >w<**
Damian, though, was hardly in awe. He unbuckled himself, and proceeded to unbuckle Raquel. "Here we are..." he said, taking her up again in his arms. "Medical attention for you. Now." Clearly there was no arguing with him, as he was already taking sure footsteps towards the direction Richard had instructed, sure to make Raquel well again. It was, after all, his fault. But how was she alive after all this time?
Slowly and gingerly, the gravity rested them back into their seats. Lorey felt a bit sick, still shaking, but the nausea passed. They were in space now. She had... survived. Lorey's fingers tried to work the buckle, but not only were they constricted by the splints, but her shaking made them virtually useless. "Help?" she asked to anyone willing to, but Damian was already gone with Raquel by the time she said anything. Have to try myself, she thought.
Having failed already by not knowing how to drive a speeder and by slowing them down because of her attachment to her mother's things, Lorey was feeling rather wretched. But what was worse was that everything that had just happened was all for the sake of trying to kill her Richard. Her lovely, brave, able Richard.
Richard smiled and unbuckled himself, making his way back to Lorey. "Here love..." He cooed gently, unfastening her belt and pulling her to her feet carefully. "That wasn't so bad was it?" He asked, kissing her gently on the lips.
Raquel was considerably weaker now. Her exertion after the initial impact oft he bullet had made a much harder impact on her body than she wanted to admit. She knew her heroic little act was stupid in many senses of the word. So she didn't fight when Damian brought her to the back of the ship. She took a seat on a little bench with storage underneath it as Damian pulled out a first aid kit. *sorry for GM* she had broken out into a pretty bad sweat now, her face and entire body considerably paler now. The sudden space trip didn't help either. "G-give me...tweezers..pliers....s-something..." She asked, looking up at him with a weak smile. "P-please dont worry, I've been through worse....much worse...and I've patched myself up then and I can do it now..." She nodded to the box, imploring that he please hurry.
His answer came in her sudden leap up to her neck, where she wrapped her arms around so tightly, pressing the side of her cheek to his as her frightened eyes stared out at the ceiling. "She... she could have killed you. You could have died and I..." Emotions caught in her throat. Lorey said no more, because what was there to say? Everything had scared her right out of her skin, and it seemed she would never calm her shaking or her nerves.
Damian did hurry. He gave her everything she asked for, even things she didn't, just in case. As Damian watched Raquel work, he finally realized just how terrible she looked. Beautiful, but terrible. "I'm so... I'm so sorry..." he tried, but the words sounded petty and stupid. Of course he was sorry. It was his misfire that had caused this. His fault...
Richard was caught off guard by her sudden frightened spill. But as soon as she expressed herself, he couldn't help but hold her tightly, shushing her gently and stroking her hair. "Lorey...Love...I've been around awhile...I can't die yet...I've just found something to make me happy again...you think I'd let anything come between that?" He joked as he kissed her a few times, trying to fight off the tears welling up in his eyes.
Raquel kept smiling despite the pain. She merely shrugged as she took the pliers from him and stripped off her dress. She usually had no shame in her body, but around Damian...it was a little awkward. She was wearing a lacy black bra and simple boy-short style underwear, making it look as if she were wearing more of a bathing suit than lingerie. Her body was slender and lean, yet attractively petite. She would have been stunning if it weren't for the gaping bloody mess in her stomach. She took a rag and dabbed at the gaping wound, blood seeming to want to keep coming out. "Dont worry about it...it was an accident..." She tried to give him a smile as she stretched her back back to stretch out the wound. She grimaced a little as she worked her hand and the pliers into the wound. Her face looked pained. Her free hand gripped Damian's suddenly as she bit her lip. After a moment, she pulled the pliers from her body, the remnant of the bullet in between the tongs. She let the little bit of blood covered metal hit the floor with a ting. She exhaled deeply, trying to catch her breath as the wound continued to bleed. She was afraid she might pass out from blood loss before she was done patching herself up. She looked around at the various supplies Damian had found and frowned. "...Richard? Enty...?" She called, knowing Richard was probably preoccupied.
"I had to let you go twice, I don't ever want to do that again." That terrible sinking feeling of leaving him to run the first time, and then the second when he kissed her in the car, still stayed with her. She kissed him then, too, sweetly, since they were both so emotionally taxed. She was ready to just fall asleep from the stress, though being awake to see Richard alive was worth far more than the comforts of sleep.
Damian watched her, but not with the hungry eyes he had before. He was simply marveling at her strength. It was within every curve and muscle, every pained gasp she gave and glance she gave at her wounds.
"Richard! Enty!" he barked, hoping that the second time they would actually respond. But his voice changed to a softer kind, just for her, as his eyes looked at her bloodied side. "What is it that you need? How can I help you?" he asked, already donning the rubber medical gloves so he could clean up the table and her wound should she pass out. "Please tell me."
Ricahrd had looked up, not really wanting to leave Lorey's side. Enty seemed to pick up on that and put the ship on auto pilot so that he could attend to the call. When he stumbled upon Raquels bloodied but bare body, he wasn't sure where to look first. But the little bear like creature seemed tense and nervous, eying Raquel with a soft pur in his voice. Raquel ignored this, trying to sit up a bit. "There's not rubbing alcohol in here...nothing for disinfecting...which is just brilliant mind you..." She sighed with a sarcastic tone as she looked around. "I know two previously single men have got to have some rum, gin or schnapps somewhere on their ship." She said with a hint of annoyance, probably feeling Enty's stare burn a hole in her after awhile. Enty seemed to shake out of his little mini daydream fantasy and nodded, rushing away and returning quickly with a bottle of vodka. Raquel had nodded her thanks, slightly unnerved at how bad this was going to hurt. She looked to Damian who seemed so eager to help. She knew there wasn't much he could do, so witch a weak smile, she raised the bottle. "Cheers..." She laughed nervously, taking along, hard sip before turning the bottle over to her wound. The clear, strong liquid washed over her abdomen, cleaning away some blood, and hopefully killing anything harmful within the wound. Though this didn't come without a price. She let out a cry before dropping the bottle, trying hard to fight the urge to hold her side from pain. Tears welled up in her eyes as she waited for the pain to subside. She shut her eyes tightly, reaching out with one hand, blindly feeling for some gauze. "A-all I need to do now is just wrap myself up...and I should be as good as new..." She said quietly, looking up at Damian pleadingly.
Richard had meanwhile heard her cry but knew that she'd be fine, ecspecially with Damian and Enty looking over her. Ricahrd returned his worry to Lorey. "I promise, I won't ever leave you again...alright?" He said softly, pressing his forehead to hers. "Darling you're exhuasted.... There's a rather small but still adequate sleeping quarters down the hall...you need rest..." He said, worry filling his voice as he held her tired and frail body close to his.
Gauze was already being pressed to her side: a pad of it for catching and padding the wound. Damian's hand took hers and pressed it to her side as his more skilled hands took a longer piece, and began to wrap. This much about dressing wounds he knew. He could do this...
And it was a few moments of wrapping and cooing from him that passed until Raquel's side was properly bandaged. The tip of it was tucked away, and she seemed out of the worst. "Raquel..." Damian, though, was not. His eyes looked to her helplessly, not knowing what to do. He wanted to apologize somehow, but didn't know how. He wanted to explain, but again, wasn't sure how to phrase it all. Damian fought and sputtered and stuttered until finally, he just gave up. "Let me put you to bed."
The slender man once more took upon himself the burden of carrying the wounded woman, though he himself was in need of attention. But it didn't matter. He simply had to find a bed for her to stay in.
Lorey pressed herself against him for all safety and warmth. They had almost died minutes ago. And yet, here they were. Everyone alive, even Raquel. "I love you," she said, ignoring him about the beds. "I'll sleep, I promise, just... not now. It's been too much."
Meanwhile, Damian had found on his own the small chamber for sleeping. There was a cot just for Raquel, in which he laid her down ever so carefully. Bare though she was, Damian's mind was fixed upon making her comfortable and nothing more. Still he said nothing. Blankets were brought up around her, though they weren't the soft downy ones she deserved. Nevertheless, Damian tucked and coddled until he was certain she was fine. The only thing he needed was her hand to hold as he knelt by the bedside.
"Do you need medication? Water? Anything?" his voice sounded so frightened for her, as it should have been.
Raquel blinked slowly at him, taking him in a moment. He had been so gentle with her...so careful...so loving...It was a rather drastic change for him. At his question, she could sense the stress in his voice. "...You..." She said quietly. "I...I need you...w-will you...could you...stay?" She asked, scootching over in the small cot, wanting him to just hold her. She had her own guilt crushing down on her, she just wanted to be near him to make it all go away.
Richard nodded, sitting down and bringing her into his lap like a small child. He took the bag in her hands and layed it down on the floor before cradling Lorey in his arms. "Shhh...its all going to be alright...I'm here ....I'm here...." he said softly, nuzzling her with his nose.
In a moment, he was laying next to her. Propped up on his right side, Damian's free hand stroked her forehead, occasionally tracing down her nose or her jawline. "I did this to you," he murmured as his brow furrowed. Silver eyes stared at her in all her beauty, laying there as if she was simply resting and hadn't almost died at his hands. "I promised you that I could protect you from everyone, and I have failed you. How can I apologize for something like that?"
She sat, curled up, with her head over his heart. "And what if you weren't?" Lorey had been entertaining the thought of Sverianna being successful in her endeavor. It was too terrible. But it wasn't the image, it was being alone. Lorey wasn't sure if she could be alone again. "She wanted to take my world away. I almost lost my world..."
