Dannis' eyes were wide from shock for a moment, though she soon recovered. To help the woman, she took the pot from her hands and set it again on the desk, so she wouldnt be so stretched out and could regain some of her dignity.
" That was unexpected." Danni muttered, picking up some of the papers that hand fallen.

"Thank you..." Anna was a bit red-faced from her flower-saving. It certainly wasn't a way for an administrator to behave. "It's a gift from my mother." It was a bit difficult to explain how the flower was rare in this realm, since it didn't even belong to it. But, she sat back down in her seat in the hopes of moving things along. From the opened drawer, she procured the student packet for the girl as well as her room keys. "You'll be staying in the Maple dorm. Room 105, I believe. Any information concerning the town of Moliné where you can get your uniforms is in there... But, what I must tell you is that the Gatehouse is off-limits, as are the other dorms unless you've been invited."

Danni stuck the key in her pocket and smiled.
" Fair enough. Thank you.. She smiled as innocently as she could.
" Is there anything else I should know?" She asked.

"Not unless you have a question yourself," she said cheerily. Anna waited for her to say something before prompting her back to her dorm to unpack.

Danni shook her head.
" Nope, nothing else." She stood, red hair bouncing a bit.
" Thank you for the info, miss." She smiled.
" I'll leave you to your books, then." She waved and bounded cheerfully out of the office. Outside, Danni collected her things, and then hurried to where the Maple Dorms were, heeled boots clicking as she did.

Anna heaved a sigh. So many students! It was almost becoming monotonous, repeating every bit of information at every student who came in. Gavin, though, he was a refreshing bit of company, being kin. The novel became the center of attention once more, and once more Anna delved into the world within the pages.
A bit of time passed as she read. The words lead her away, far away, evoking memories of her homeland. The rolling green hills, and her family. They were all there. And yet for all those happy memories, the splitting headache began again. Gavin hadn't given her enough of the herb to make another brew. Eventually the pain grew so severe, Anna was driven to pacing her office in the hopes she could walk it off.
"Kaien said it was a side effect of the Gate," she muttered in the dim gloom. "What a side effect..." The pain was so centered in her mind that moving too quickly gave her a nauseating sensation. Meditation wasn't working, and neither was trying to physically heal it.
Another few minutes passed. It was an all-out migraine at that point. Anna grimaced with every throb in her head...
"Must find a bit of help." A final, agonizing wave came over her. Anna found herself toppling over to her side, right into a stack of books that her and Kaien had sorted that day. There was a split moment where she could feel the energy swirling about her in a chaotic fashion before she was swept away in a world of black.

And so Anna lay sprawled on the floor with stray books resting over her as if they, too, had collapsed. Her fingers twitched oddly once before laying peacefully like the rest of her, asleep.

Kaien knocked on Anna's door, holding his own head in an attempt to alleviate his headache. "Anna? Ms. Souris?" He called, but when she didn't answer he turned the handle and opened the door anyway.
He sucked in his breath as he saw her lying on the floor, though she appeared to only be sleeping. "Damn, and she's the Healer..." he said, going to her side and pressing a hand on her forehead. "She's cold, but still breathing." Kaien shook her gently, in an attempt to rouse her. "Arondis, we may have more need of your tea." he said glumly.

She'd get the tea in a moment, first she wanted to see Anna open her eyes at least. "I may be of help." Arondis knelt by Anna, opposite of the headmaster. Gently placing her pointer finger on the teacher's temple, she whispered rapidly under her breath. A faint warmth seemed to radiate from the white-haired woman to the elf. "Please wake Anna."

It was a faint reaction at first. The elf's brow furrowed slightly before giving way to a more relaxed expression. As Anna gained conscious, a small noise escaped her throat. What had happened? Such a headache, and now...
"Oh..." Finally her gentle brown eyes opened to see her rescuers. "What...?" she began, but she was still disoriented.

Kaien managed a smile, though painful. "Ah, it would seem as if the waves coming from the Gateway are becoming more and more potent. Unfortunately it would seem as if you were caught unawares." He sat up again, giving Anna space if she wished to sit up.
"Though now might not be the best time for introductions, Anna Souris this is Arondis, the Guardian on the Realm side. You may or may not have met her on your way through."

Her eyes went over to the woman who had revived her. It was indeed a familiar face.
"We met briefly..." she murmured. It took a few moments of centering and soothing to regain her composure. It was so terribly embarrassing to have two very important people who were no doubt having a very important meeting hovering over her because she simply could not handle a wave of energy. Gently she eased herself into an upright sitting position, legs tucked to the side. "That was so strange," she offered. "I had a dull headache at first, and it just grew worse... then everything spun, and went black."

Seeing Anna open her eyes, Arondis was relieved. "Yes, we are working on fixing it." It was no wonder the elf had been caught unawares by the effects. She'd see to fixing it the moment she got back. Gabe would simply have to be ready, no more waiting.
She smiled comfortingly. "Would you like a cup of tea?" It would do her some good to drink the mixture Arondis had brought.

"If it will help." It all honesty, she wanted to be sitting in a chair, or even in her bed, not sipping tea. Anna was extremely grateful for their help. The realization that she had said nothing of it made her heart jump.
"Thank you both for coming... I'm so sorry if I've frightened you." Even when the situation at hand was out of pure coincidence, Anna didn't want to serve as an inconvenience at the Academy in her first week.

"No trouble at all." Arondis rose silently, and was out in a flash. With the headmaster's office right down the hall, it didn't take her more than a few minutes to make the tea and come back.
Teacup in one hand, she walked back up to Anna and offered her hand. "I bet you'd like to sit in a chair instead of on the floor." She smiled her usual warm smile.
