Rhea heard Aras' playful tone and he jumped to all fours and barked his readiness. He wanted to play or tain..or what ever it was they were going to do.
Kanis bows her head, "Yes sir, I am rested and ready." she wondered how they would build endurance and strength. She was ready for what ever he had planned. And she would try not to be the weakest link again.
Ruran smirked watching Amrus serving Corrah and nods as he folded his arms across his chest.

Corrah nodded and rose to his feet, motioning for the children to follow him. He started walking, faster than he had before, so that they would have to walk quickly or perhaps even jog to keep up with him, and since he was going no higher on the mountain he hoped there would be no trouble.
Aras grinned at Rhea, then giggled and started after Corrah. "Let's go!" she cheered, skipping along.

Rhea nodded and yipped as he started to trot in a playful manner. He had no idea what he would be doing but as long as he was with Aras and she was enjoying herself and the alpha's were there then that was all that mattered.
Kanis nods and jogs slowly after Corrah, breathing slowly and concentrating on her breathing as well as the surroundings. She wondered vaguely what they would do but she didn't care, what ever it was she would do it.
Ruran followed at a quick walk after the dark trainer.

"Over the weekend, while you were gone," Corrah explained softly as they went, "we had a bit of a storm ... it made something of a mess in a nearby clearing, so there are plenty of twigs, sticks, even branches, all over the place, as well as leaves. What you are going to do for the rest of the day is make your cave your home - beds, fire pits, whatever you would like - using the material from the clearing. It's a bit of a walk, but that will get you used to the elevation, as well as build up your muscles, both from the carrying and the walking."
He looked over his shoulder at the four of them. "For the first few trips, I will walk with you, but after that I will not, and I will expect you to find your own way. So look around you, study your surroundings as you walk, and memorize the route."
He would of course go and find them later if they got lost, but he wanted to see how well they could do with minimal warning.

Kanis looked a bit confused but she love the idea of getting their own things. She smiled and bit her lip lightly trying to figure out if she should carry the wood and heavy things now and the light things later or the other way around.
She finally desided to do a mix so she started to gather up lots of leaves. "Will we have sacks for the leaves sir?"
Ruran started to grab some rocks and large sticks and twigs. He was gathering only the ones that would burn right. He smiled and was gathering up some heavy things.
Rhea tilted his head listening to Corrah and then looking up at Aras. He nudged his head against her shoulder, "Together?' he asked, wondering if maybe they should make a joint effort to collect the items.

Corrah shook his head and leaned against a tree, putting his hands behind his back.
"No, Kanis," he said softly. "It would indeed save you many trips, but then you would not work as hard on your endurance training, is this not correct? In this instance, the more trips you take, the better ... and in the eventuality that you do not have enough leaves to make yourself comfortable, I am certain that your parents have given you blankets."
Besides, it would be more of an incentive to take more trips, so that they could be more comfortable, and therefore they would have to test their limits in the mountain air.
Aras looked down at Rhea, and her entire face lit up in a bright smile.
"That's a great idea!" she exclaimed enthusiastically, clapping her hands together. "Come on, Rhea, let's get the heavy things first so that later, when we're tired, we can just take the light stuff!"
She ruffled his hair affectionately as her father so often did to her and her siblings (well minus Ruran), then giggled and bent down to pick up some sticks.

Kanis nods, "Yes sir...but will we have a sack or bag at the caves to make a mattress or bed sir?" She continued to gather some leaves as she talked. She was enjoying this training.
Though she had no idea what type of wood would be best for a fire. She knew certain ones were good for fires and others were not so good. She did not want to be a bother and ask though. She sighed, she would just have to figure it out threw trail and error.
Rhea's tail wagged happily and he nods moving over to pick up sticks and then stopped to wriggle out of his shift and smiled at Aras laying the shrit down on the ground and started to put sticks atop the shirt so they could carry more.

Corrah watched Kanis thoughtfully, her question running over and over through his mind. He didn't have any sacs, and only the one bag - the one that he carried his things in. But she did have a point, they would probably need some way to keep the leaves together ... he personally had never slept on leaves before, so he had never had such a problem.
"I'm afraid not," he replied finally, his tone soft and apologetic. "I leave it to your imagination to find a way to keep your mattress together. Perhaps you could dig a bit of a hole and put them in there and sleep there, or tie them together with something, or perhaps use some pine boughs as a base."
Aras grinned brightly at Rhea, following him happily.
"Good idea!" she beamed. "This will make it easier for us to carry!"
She giggled and started picking up sticks, laying them all in the same direction on top of Rhea's shirt. She had seen her father carry logs and branches like this, it must be the right way! Of course, he hadn't used his clothes - he had simply lain them the same way and picked them up with his arms. Still, she knew it would be easier for her and Rhea if they used his shirt.

Kanis nods trying to think of a way to build a bed with out a sack. Bears would dig holes, but that would welcome bugs and hurry the decomposition. She would grab her bag with her stuff empty her stuff and bring it back to collect more leaves wail she carried sticks next time.
She wondered what pine broughs were. maybe she could use the cloak her mother had made her and wrap it around the leaves tie is shut and use the blanket...or maybe reverse the cloak and blanket parts. She laughed and smiles happy with her mind working away the ideas.
Rhea smiled his tail still wagging and once thier pile of sticks was high enough and his shirt full enough he smiled at Corrah ready to start heading back. The high air was nothing for him, he had been born into it.

Aras dusted her hands off on the back of her pants and grinned at Rhea, then looked up at Corrah.
"We're ready to go back, sir," she said brightly, though she was breathing a little more heavily now. The mountain air was starting to get to her, most likely due to the fact that she hadn't rested with her siblings earlier.
Corrah nodded at Aras, Rhea and Kanis, then glanced over in Ruran's direction.
"And you, Ruran?" he called out softly. "Are you also ready to head back?"

Ruran had his arms full of heavy branches and twigs, "Been ready sir." He said having been watching everyone else working. Stupid Aras with her wolf lacky. He already hated seeing them together. He was still unaware that there was a bond growing between his sister and the wolf that he would have to take care of sooner or later.
Rhea could hear the change in Aras' breathing and he turned to look at her moving over to nuzzle her side encouragingly. He licked her hand and smiled up at her.
Then he moved over to pick up two ends of his shirt in his mouth ready to help carry the wood home.

Aras smiled at Rhea, grateful for his support, and as he moved to pick up his side of the shirt she picked up the remaining two corners with her hands.
"Ready," she nodded to Rhea, completely unaware of Ruran's glare.
Corrah rose to his feet once more and was just about to leave when he saw how Rhea was holding the shirt. Perhaps he would be able to make it all the way back like that ... but still, it was time for training, and he wasn't going to let Rhea take it easy just because he didn't have to work on his endurance or breathing.
"Rhea!" he called, heading over to the wolf boy. "Up on your feet, I want you to get used to walking like a human, and carry the shirt with your hands."

Rhea winced as he heard his alpha call his name. His ears lowered against his head and his tail started to tuck under him. He dropped the shirt and looked down. He didn't like walking like a human...and he hated using his hands.
He had never really agreed to this he was just dragging into training becuase he was trying to find a pack. He slowly forced himself to to legs looking very shaky and continually trying to get better balance he picked up the shirt in his hands his ears still flat against his head his tail only out because he was trying to balance himself.
Kanis watched Rhea on her sister. It was kinda sad to see the wolf hybrid struggling.
Ruran laughed and started to walk the way they were going.

Aras's brow furrowed anxiously, and she reached across to take the other side of the shirt from Rhea as well, so that she was carrying the whole thing.
"Here," she said, standing right next to him. "Put your hand on my shoulder, I"ll carry the sticks ..."
She didn't care how heavy the load was, or if it meant that they would have to take more trips - she didn't want Corrah to be angry at him, and she wanted him to do his best.
"I'll help you," she told him softly, looking at him over her shoulder, her young features etched with worry.
Corrah made sure that Rhea was walking on his two legs, then turned and started through the forest once more, slowly so that none of the children would be left behind.

Rhea shook his head. "Together..." he said and reach over to take his part of the shirt back. He would help carry the sticks walking or not. He sighed and just looked down watching his legs making sure he would not trip over anything as he wobbled as he tried to keep up with everyone.
Kanis sighed. She didn't understand why Rhea could not walk the way he enjoyed as long as he learned. The wolf was not fully human anyway. But she knew that Corrah knew what he was doing.
