My opinion is entirely Lyth's on the fourth page. We're more than likely going to go with Dranzer's solution: Quote: I just noticed; theres at least 80 types of dragons paiting to be released, ans we won't have room for them all. So, I propose this: One sanctuary, but organized in a certain way. Post 1: Intro post 2: common, common, uncommon post 3: uncommon, common, rare post 4: common, common, common post 5: uncommon, rare, uncommon post 6 and so forth We can mix breed rarities by having three breeds per post. If they are all on the first page still, they will gain views regardless. When new breeds are released, we just add that breed to one of the posts. The max would be six breeds per post. The thread would have all 15 posts used on the first page, and then people could add their eggs. Its one sanctuary, but multiple posts with multiple breeds with each post. Seperate sanctuaries for each breed or for eggs and hatchlings will not be a good thing when there are 100 types of dragons. WE need to think ahead a bit before we're overun. Right now the sanctuary is staying closed until all the critters in there grow up. Having one sanct with 15 posts is simply more efficient that 15 sancts, with all of the same benefits. Sorry everyone who thinks we should get more than one, but this is the most likely solution.

Oh thank god! I thought the discussion was going to go on for ever! Whaever works, works! You guys know better than I do, I can't wait for it to be finished! If you need someone to check in "occasionally" or when things get bad just let me know, I dont have a whole bunch of time because I mod at dragonspam already, but I can offer a couple hours a day

I've read through all the posts here and can identify with the positions I've read. I came up with something and am curious to see what you all think. =o
What if there were 7 sanctuaries... set up by how many days you have left, regardless if it's egg or hatchling. That may seem like more work, but each page would inevitably get the same number of views as the rest. Especially if someone posts one in the 7 day and keeps doing so until it's a hatchling.. then it starts all over.
And if at the end of the day the mods needed to delete or move the eggs to the other threads, it's just simple copy and paste. No weeding necessary.
It seems that with that way none of the threads would be less viewed than the others. It may mean a tiny bit more work for us posters and a few more semi-mods, but to me that's not that bad if it means a smoother process in the future.

I agree with Nak's idea but ppeople shouldn't be posting eggs/hatchlings when they have 7 days left. Maybe there could be a rule about it, Like 4 days and under are allowed to be posted? That might stop some of the egg spam. Alot of the eggs/hatchlings hatch/grow up around 2 - 3 days left. :]

What about separating every species of egg/hatchling in a subforum
and making a sanctuary for eggs and hatchling which have only 0-3 days left?

It's probably easier if the mods don't have to go through and check each egg to make sure it conforms to a time rule, though. If the proposed idea goes into effect, there shouldn't need to be any kind of restriction-- there should be plenty of space, I think?

I'm sure it'd be less than that. And if the mods are clearing it out at the end of everyday, there's no real need to click any of them. The people themselves would be more responsible for posting them in the next day's thread.
I'm sure we'd all love the laziness of just submitting a bundle and not worrying about it, I know I would-- just doesn't seem like that'd be all that great in the long run. I'm willing to give a little to help out. ^^;;

I appreciate the effort, Nataku, but we are already generally decided. 7 sancts based on the days remaining may equally split up the posts, but it might be more of a hassle than what we currently have planned.
If we had seven sancts, then we'd still have our current load of work, plus copy/pasting all the dragons to the next thread 6 times, and having to check every single new submission to see if it's in the right spot.
Just one sanct is what we think the best solution is.
And the new Sanct should be coming up tomorrow! smile
