Well, he was certainly relieved Adrian felt that way about guns. It made sense, to hear him say that but it was still a relief. He watched the rat fill out his number, frowning slightly. "Wait... what do you mean by that?" he asked, "A son like me?" He was not bad enough to drive someone to drinking...

"Oh... okay..." Carlos took the paper with an inner sigh and pocketed it. He had a feeling he would be exhausted by the time Adrian left today. "Well, let's see... There's the living room, let's go there." He lead the way to a room just off the kitchen. "It's one of those multi-purpose rooms, really. Dining room, TV room..." He gestured to a table with chairs that was big enough for a buffet; about half the chairs faced a television in another part of the room so those dining could watch. "We have several rooms like this."

Carlos shrugged and grinned at the rat. "Nahh. I'm all right. Wait 'til you see the game room. There's video games and a big-screen TV." He had no idea how anyone paid for all this, and he was not about to ask. It was over his head right now.

"That must explain everything then, huh?" Carlos stuck his tongue out at the rat. Truthfully, he didn't play all that much but when he did he always had a great time, especially those more interactive ones, like Guitar Hero (which Jimi denounced almost lividly - "What the ********, play a real guitar!") and DDR. He was looking forward to getting a Wii. "Well it's also great for watching a movie. There's a great sound system and the walls are insulated for it, though you always know when there's an action movie playing the way the walls rattle. Mel wants to fix that too..."

"Nevermind, Adrian," Carlos smirked, parroting the rat's reply from earlier. "Oh yeah, we could watch something on that. I have a TV too, though it doesn't have that great sound system..." He was grinning broadly, thinking back to a time when they had watched a movie at the shop. He'd gotten a copy of Pride and Prejudice just so he'd have something to compare it to, and discuss with the rat if he'd ever been interested. It had not come up since, though...


(( He's referring to when Adrian was thinking he was being slow with the jokes, and now kind of giving him a hint with that retort. Now Carlos must be slow because he plays video games. I guess he's getting on a roll... hope he doesn't annoy Adrian too much... xD;

The Pride and Prejudice thing is from a shop RP we did once, and Adrian had wanted to watch it. I have a copy if you want it for reference. I have a lot of their RPs actually... xD <3 ))

"Yes I do," Carlos replied with a swish of his tail and a smile. "Probably everyone here has one... and a lock on their door, though Mel has a stash of keys to every lock, in case of emergency." That was in case someone like, say, Sian had decided to lock someone in his dungeon. No torture allowed without consent. Even then... Yes, best not think of that.

"You seem curious about my room, want to go there next?" In all honesty, he felt a little embarrassed to show it off. The car was different, that was his pride and joy. His room... well that was private and everyone keeps secrets. For example, he seemed to remember Adrian hating ribbons in his hair (of course unbeknownst to him they had been the rat's ribbons!). Granted Adrian knew that Carlos wore barrettes and such in his hair, but to actually see them strewn about his desk... Okay, he was really embarrassed to show him. But he couldn't take it back now that he had offered. And even if he could... well... it was Adrian, so...

"Of course, how silly of me. I would love to see your room..." Carlos blushed. Well of course Adrian would be interested. He too was curious about Adrian's room. More than curious; he didn't care if it was messy or unfriendly (like the rest of him), it was Adrian's! "Let's do that then. I'd love to watch a movie with you," he grinned with a little purr, taking his arm. His room was near the end of a hallway that branched off to the side of the main hall, just outside of this (and almost every) room. The only person past his room was a mer named Merric, whose room required a spacious tank that opened to the outside. It was lovely really. Carlos' room and furnishings were plain by comparison.
