Okojo chuckled a bit, the action would have being followed by rubbing the back of his head a bit, but he had his sword in his hand. Instead, he shrugged a little and smiled as he watched Hibiki. He could feel the tension of a soon-to-occur battle, and he shifted Tenri slightly in his hand. "Only if you think so. You did miss some fun, though. Well... Fun, I guess, isn't quite the right word for 'fighting for your life', but it definitely got the adrenaline pumping." He shifted his feet, eying his opponent's.
Moving slightly in a semi-circle around an invisible space between them, the bleach-blond shinigami looked for the others' reaction, letting the other have the time to attack first if he so wished to.

The shinigami was intrigued by the small scale events happening around him. Perhaps Okojo was training for Shikai? Nostalgia filled his senses as he listened to the conversation happening between the captain and the third seat. He then noticed his captain gesturing to an area away from the two combatants and instinctively headed towards the spot. The dark haired shinigami then discovered Mocks reason for their meeting. He wanted to learn to play the shamisen! Hishida was slightly taken back by his captain’s request, but at the same time excited. This particular skill of his had never been recognized in this manner before. He felt the situation was fairly ironic as well. Hishida smiled at Mockadash and answered, of course I’ll teach you Mock-kun! The shinigami then briefly thought back to a particular lesson that he had with an earlier instructor. Considering recent events, every memory from his old life in Rukongai felt to have happened so long ago. Quickly coming out from his short flashback, the shinigami continued his sentence and asked, when would you like to start?

Now would be a good time, I suppose. the Captain answered Hishida. Unless that is, you're not ready.
Diverting his stare for a brief moment, Mock glanced over to Hibiki's and Okojo's spar. This was the training the young man was needing. A tough battle, to force him to resort to his Zanpakutou for help. MockaDash knew that Okojo discovering the name of his blade was something that was imminent, he just needed a little push. Hibiki was about to give him just that.
Turning to face Hishida again, Mock awaited his answer.
(( Sorry, writer's block. Just wanted to keep the action rolling. Anyway, Okojo, do your best now and work hard. Wait for my approval before getting your Zanpakutou's name, but you can begin RPing some small interactions with it if you want to.

"Sounds like something that would get it pumping," Hibiki said, mirroring Okojo's steps to keep himself directly across from him, losing or gaining no ground with subtle steps, just keep it constant. His usual nervous self was put aside. This wasn't a social matter, so it wasn't a necessity. This was a battle of the blade. The need to cut. To slash. Slice. It was a zone outside the reasonings needed to speak with others. Pleasantries aside, the persons were put second to their partner in crime, their zanpaktou. Ready Nephele? We're going in.
Pivoting on the spot, Hibiki launched himself across the expanse between the two, his jump into the center almost like the start of a fray where one enters the ring. Whipping his sword around away from its place resting on his shoulder to out in front of him and towards his opponent in a horizontal arc like a radius from his center. Swinging it towards him, his feet stopped at 2 feet away, apart one more forward the other back as he faced the side, much like a fencer. His eyes had already become steely.
((Sorry for taking so long, busy weekend sweatdrop ))

(( *bow* Hai, Taichou. Arigatou. ))
Okojo was still a bit nervous, though his eyes kept to the others' feet as he moved with him. He glanced up at the others' expression and his own hardened a little. He shouldn't be so nervous... He was going to get himself in trouble if he doubted himself. He felt a watchful presence in the back of his head, but ignored it. He needed to focus. His distraction was minor, and he came back to focus in time to catch Hibiki's movement.
His opponent moved forward and green orbs spied the movement of a sword. He had a few moments to block, and he did, bringing his blade up to deflect the attack and move it in the direction it had come from, and then down. This action had brought one foot back for support, almost mirroring Hibiki's feet. Once the blade was no longer a threat, Okojo moved his up for an attack that would aim for his opponent's head. It would be easy to dodge, but it might give him more space to guess the others' next attack.
(( It's alright, Hibiki-san. I was out of town for the weekend, and though I had computer access to check things and post, I was busy too ^^; ))

The reaction time seemed good on Okojo's part as the swords clashed in his quick block, pushing his own blade back and down. Very defensive tactic, not as good for linking attacks as it could be... Hibiki's observations came like a narration in his mind while taking in everything he could. He twisted his wrist outwards a bit as the blade was brought down, preparing for another step. His calculating gaze went from the blade back to his opponent's face, watching for a cue, a tell.
As the blade came back up from its deflecting move towards his chest, Hibiki side-stepped to his right, the enemy blade sailing just passed his left side. It was close confines, but backing off wouldn't buy him time, but rather give the blonde shinigami the time he was looking for. That wasn't happening. Taking another step towards Okojo's left side, the twisted wrist spun back, its new direction stabbing towards the torso's side.

Okojo's blade missed, and he gave a slight grunt as he kept his eyes on Hibiki's movement. He stepped back with his forward foot, moving him a little away, but then a blade was coming up for him. A sure-gripped hand lifted his blade to deflect the others' upward, and he moved the crafted metal off to the side and around so it would be pushed down by his blade again.
This time, the bleach-blond shinigami backed off a bit and then aimed an attack for Hibiki's torso, feet moving him forward for extra momentum.

Hibiki watched everything as though an outsider observer, not just a participant in the fight. Okojo was deflecting well, and being pretty decisive with his attacks, which was a good move because stopping to think gave an opponent leeway to attack themselves. It was still early in the fight but... Hibiki, I want to join in... Let me in... It was barely started and she was getting this anxious to jump in. He had promised Mock he'd wait a bit, but it would be more of a match with this card played... Hibiki returned from his thoughts, seeing Okojo stabbing forwards again. Recomposing himself, his movements were quick, as he retracted his own blade to his center to meet the oncoming attack and guide it just barely passed him and through the empty part of his cloak's sway. That was a bit to close for comfort. I got to keep my wits about me...
Now's as good a time as any, don't worry, I'll behave... Came the coo of her gentler voice, and he knew she was being nice just to try and get him let her out. Knowing Okojo could do more than this though, she didn't need to trick him to do so. Jumping back, landing on hin right foot and his left swinging to the side, a widening of the stance, Hibiki swung his blade up to point to the sky, and spoke, "From the heavens we strike, let sparks fly, Nephele!" The blade changed to become a needle-like rapier, swirling design on the golden guard. Sparks showered of of it like a child's sparkler on a holiday. Swinging it back down, he held it in front of him, awaiting Okojo's next move.

Always ready Mock, replied Hishida. The dark haired soul reaper then proceeded into re-equipping his instrument and pointing out some of the many signature parts of the shamisen. He started his lecture by explaining the Itomaki, and ended it by giving a brief history of the bachi. The youth had much more information that he could have conveyed to the squad captain, but felt that it was time to move onto the next stage of their lesson. After finishing his discourse, he continued into offering his captain his shamisen and bachi. He wanted Mockadash to get a feel for the instrument before actually playing it. Have a look Mock-kun, said the shinigami as he held out the two items.

Okojo watched his blade almost hit his opponent, and he blinked as Hibiki seemed a little distracted. He watched the other move back, and stepped back, himself, to see what the other had planned. There was a low humming in the back of his head when he felt his opponent's reiatsu rise, and he was distracted for a moment as the others' shikai became apparent to show.
A hand would've been placed on a forehead if his only one wasn't occupied by Tenri, and Okojo made a small face. That's going to ruin my concentration. he thought to himself, though the humming stopped soon after. He had a mildly confused expression when he looked back to Hibiki and noted him waiting for another attack. Giving a small sigh, he examined the shikai more closely, before he moved forward for an attack. Blade went up and came down to aim for his opponent's head.

Hibiki regarded a brief expression on Okojo's face before he continued. Was that annoyance? Not pain, maybe irritation? As the face changed and the attention was back on the fight, he dismissed it as a momentary thought crossing his opponent's mind, nothing more, or less. As Okojo came at him again, aiming higher this time, Hibiki sidestepped, the sword skimming his shoulder, grazing it, making a scrape or so. In his side step left, in a fluid synchronization his arm came down, and rapier at the ready he slashed towards the blond headed shinigami in a horizontal motion. Nephele's excitement coursed through him as sparks cascaded his way as well, harmless for him as the user though, and brought a small smile to his lips, contrasting the serious look in his eyes.
"Electric Trace," He spoke as he swung. Along with the sparks already being showered from his blade, doing their part of paralyzing what they touched 5 seconds per spark, not much in technical terms but enough to cost if a joint froze up in battle, a bolt of lightning appeared, but not moving the instant speeds of the sort seen in storms, but suspended in air along the path of the rapier tip's slash, coursing and hot, giving off its own sparks as well. If his opponent was to touch that he was in for a nasty electrocution.

Okojo's eyes watched his opponent as he sidestepped him, almost wincing a little at the feel of the others' flesh being scraped by his blade. He shifted to turn toward Hibiki, when he heard him speak and knew that he was about to be attacked more than just by the sparkling blade. He felt sparks against his arm, and he almost lost hold on his blade. His instinct was to move away, and so he managed to step back just before the bolt created from Nephele's blade flashed in front of him.
Feeling tingles all along his arm, Okojo moved back more to give himself time to recover from the sparks, keeping an eye on his opponent. He knew he wouldn't have too much more time, so he soon stepped forward again, ignoring the tingles still. He swung his blade at a vertical angle, aiming for a slash across Hibiki's chest.

The lightning's residual trace ended a moment after the attack swung by his opponent harmlessly, Okojo obviously having the good sense to get out of the way. Instead of choosing to stick with the instinct his body must be telling him to back off though, the blonde shinigami came towards him again. Brave? Or foolish? Bending his knees to get out of the early path of the vertical slash, Hibiki's sword hand came up, clashing against the other blade, perpendicular to it. Sliding his sideways blade closer to the hilt of his squad mate's sword, he hoped the relentless sparks might reach the hand gripped so tightly there and maybe affect it. Holding his arm steady there against the blow a moment, he said, "You're doing well... for someone who fights alone."
As he finished speaking Hibiki suddenly thrust forwards on his rapier, hoping to throw Okojo's balance back, and pulling his blade away from the other, slashed low, towards the legs, sparks flying, no lightning this time, only needle sharp blade on its path down and diagonal right towards its target.

darkamaru walks in and sits down in the grass under a cherry tree.he set his zanpakuto to the side and fell asleep.
[Captain's Edit: This post is to be disregarded, as any others made from Darkamaru at this point, since he was never accepted into the Squad.
Not only Squad members can post here, of course. But since Darkamaru applied to this Squad, I doubt that he applied somewhere else at the same time. So the character hasn't been approved by any crew member, and therefore it doesn't exist (yet).
@ Darkamaru: A non-existent character cannot RP. Get your profile approved by a crew member, since I will not approve it, because I never accepted you into this Squad in the first place.]
