Rain ducked her head. “Right now I’m not sure that’s a good thing,” she muttered. Looking up she smiled. “Shall we stay here and watch the sun set?” she asked shyly.

He smiled and bowed his head to her a little. “ I would love to watch the sunset with a beautiful lady. ” Feeling the water come up behind him and lick at his heels he glanced back at it a moment before turning his green eyes to Rain once more. “ But maybe we should move away from the water just a little. ” Leaning down to picked up her sand dollar and before moving up the beach a few feet. The waters where cold to him this time of year but he recalled the Rain found them to much for her and though it safer to move. Sitting down he set the dollar on the sand again and waited for Rain to join him.

Rain shivered as the water hit her paws. “Yes, the waters getting to be to cold for me as it gets cooler out,” she said as she walked up the beach to were Frosty was. Placing a paw softly on the sand dollar she smiled happily. “Today has been wonderful. I’m so glade you and Diamond get along. It surely didn’t look like you would at first.” Laying down on the still warm sand she snuggered into his side. Sighing in contentment she watched the sky.

Looking down at her he smiled, leaning down the nuzzling between her ears a moment. Then he lowered himself and curled around her to help keep her warm. The temperature had lowered to such that he was getting comfortable which could possible mean she was getting cold. “ I’m glad you had a good day. I had a moment of thinking that Diamond wasn’t going to like me either. ”

Rain lowered her head and rested it on her front paws. "Hmmm," was all she said in reply. She blinked her eyes sleepily still looking up. She cuddled closer to him as the sky began to change color.

The first shifting of the colors brought a wave of pastel pinks and purples that matched the already pastel blue sky. He remained silent as he rested with her, feeling her cuddle closer to him. He could feel the rhythm of his heart change, becoming just a little faster. ‘ What is this feeling. It’s almost like fear or happiness but stronger by far. ’ Shifting just enough so that he could look down at her he blinked a few times before returning to the position he had been in. Light resting his head of hers he looked up towards the star awaiting the stars. “ It’s beautiful isn’t it. The way is shifts and changes. ”

Rain sighed happily. "Very beautiful, I sometimes wonder if this is what the northern lights are like." She glanced at him. "What do you think?" she asked playfully.

Frosty shook his head gently as he closed his eyes. “ No, the northern lights are far far more beautiful. You see then, even for a moment, and it’s like the whole world stops for hours as you look up at them. The snow reflecting there colors around you. It’s something you can never forget. ”

Rain raised her head startled. "You've seen the northern lights?" she asked excitedly. A wishful look crossed her face. "I would so love to see them someday."

He nodded as he looked down into her golden eyes. “ Yes, I’ve seen them a few times. ” He chuckled a little at her excitement but smiled still. “ Well I did say that I would take you north with me on day. Maybe well be lucky and you’ll be able to see them there. ”
