Ruque looked thoughtful at Niyana's reply, but he nodded silently and snuggled up against her cheek.

"Okay," he said softly.

"Hey Mommy!" Aras piped up suddenly. "When are we going to start our training?"

Celebor looked at Corrah thoughtfully. "And that also begs the question of how long they're going to be up here each time," he added quietly. "Perhaps for the week, and they come home again on weekends? Or maybe just a few days to start with, and make it longer each time?"

Corrah's gaze never left Ruran's rebellious face.

"Whatever you wish," he replied evenly, "though the longer they are with me the better their training will be, the more effect it will have on them."

Niyana listens to them and nods, "Yes I think staying up here for five days and coming home for two might work out. Though we will need to make them a place to stay at least." She looked at Aras and nods, "Well dear I think as soon as Corrah and Ruran are done you can start, unless miss Armus would care to start your training.

Ruran's face remained emotionless though he was growing to be a tad bored.

Kanis turned to watch her brother and Corrah. She wondered how long they really would take...and if she should bring them food or something.

Aras paled slightly. "But I didn't take anything with me!" she exclaimed. "What about my clothes or my dragon? Or my vase? Or ... or ..."

Celebor held up one hand to calm her. "Why don't you just stay here one night this time, just to get used to being away from home," he suggested, "and tomorrow we'll come and get you, and bring you back here again in a few days?"

Aras shuffled her feet in the grass and nodded slowly. "I guess," she mumbled.

Armus smiled sadly and moved to sit next to Aras, putting one hand on the girl's head (since her shoulders were too small to put her arm around her).

"Don't worry," she said cheerfully. "I'll be here, you'll be just fine!"

She looked up at Niyana. "I think maybe we should just get them used to the idea of not being with you all the time," she suggested, "and then we can start on the real training - for the girls, at least. It looks as though Corrah's already hard at work with Ruran."

Even if the boy learned nothing more than to stop pissing Corrah off, it would be a successful lesson.

Niyana nods, "Yes maybe we should do that. Or your father and I can go and get you some clothes and your dargons and bring them back. That way Armus can show you two around. Though I think it best if we keep your vases safe at home."

She smiled at her daughter, "See you already have a friend in Armus and I am sure she will help you in anyway she can."

Kanis turned her eyes back and looked at her family and one of her new trainers before she moved over and crawled up to look at Ruque, "Will you be alright alone brother? I can wait until I am older if you wish me to stay with you longer."

She didn't sound like she was afraid but that she really cared about her brother and was willing to sacrifice her dream to help another.

Aras smiled and nodded at Niyana. "Well if it's just til tomorrow ... then I'll be okay for just one night without my dragon," she decided. Then, smiling up at Armus, she added, "I'll be okay with Kanis and a good friend."

Armus looked positively pleased with Aras's words.

Ruque nodded at Kanis, smiling bravely at her. "I'll be okay," he assured her. "You need to train - and I'll have Mama and Papa, so I'll be fine."

Probably better than fine, since Ruran wouldn't be teasing him and calling him names.

Niyana nods, "Well that is very good to hear, I am very proud of you Aras I know you will do a great job in training." she leaned forward careful not to squish her son or daughter, "And you can show Ruran that girls can be just as good as boys." She laughed warmly.

Kanis nods and hugs her brother. "Thank you Ruque, and you train well too!" she kissed his cheek and then she moved back down to the ground and looked at Aras and her sister. They looked alike and she knew Aras would do great in training.

Celebor reached down and touched Niyana's shoulder.

"Perhaps we should get back, then," he murmured softly to her, "and let them begin their training ..."

Armus smiled and rose to her feet once more. "Don't you worry about a thing," she grinned at Celebor and Niyana reassuringly. "I'll make sure your girls are taken proper care of!"

She would let Corrah take care of Ruran though. Besides that, it looked as though the two of them would be staying here quite possibly until Celebor and Niyana returned the next day - and possibly later. Ruran was stubborn ...

Armus wondered how long he could do without food or sleep, for he would get neither while Corrah was holding him like that ... and she knew from experience that his underarms would get sore from supporting his entire weight.

Niyana nods and hands Ruque to Celebor so she could kiss the top of her two girls' heads. "You do will do just fine and we will see you tomorrow and bring your things." She smiled at Celebor and tried not to get all sentimental about leaving three of their children.

Kanis smiles, "Good bye mom and dad we will be just fine and see you tomorrow!" she waved at them and sighed. It seemed there was a short in one on one personal trainers.

She laughed and sat where her father and mother sat.

Celebor held Ruque to his chest, and after Niyana was finished with the girls he reached out to hug both of them with one arm.

"Be good," he grinned at them, rising to his feet and reaching out to take Niyana's hand. Then he looked over at Ruran.

"And Ruran," he said firmly, "I hope that you can learn from this experience."

Aras hugged both of her parents, then ran to stand with Armus.

Armus grinned and saluted Celebor and Niyana. "Safe journey," she said cheerfully. "We'll see you tomorrow, same place!"

Ruque waved cheerfully at his sisters. "Have fun!" he said brightly. "I'll bring you something special tomorrow okay?"

Niyana smiled and took her mate's hand, "Ruran please try not to fight things took much. You might enjoy it if you just relax a bit." She called and nods, "Thank you Armus." She waved with her free hand and started to walk off. She hoped they were doing the right thing.

Kanis nods and waves, "You too Ruque!" She smiled. Maybe her dream would really come true...no it would come ture she would do what ever it took.

Ruran still hung there not even listening to his parents. He was just focused no one giving into Corrah. He would not fall just for this stranger it was only a half an hour at most.

As Celebor, Niyana and Ruque disappeared into the trees once more, Armus smiled down at the girls.

"Hungry?" she asked them brightly. "No point in starting your training if you're hungry. I don't have much with me, just some dried berries, but they're good and they're healthy."

Aras stared after her disappearing parents for a moment, then smiled up at Armus and nodded. "Please," she said politely. It had been quite a while since breakfast, and it had been a physically active morning for her.

Kanis bows her head, "Thank you very much but I can not take the small amount of food you have right now. I am sure I can wait a little wail." though her stomach was rather hungry.

Ruran shifted a bit to lessen the tension on his arms but kept his gaze on Corrah's freezing gaze.

Corrah continued to stare without blinking at Ruran, still as strong and fresh as if he had not been holding the boy up for a while already. He could do this for as long as was necessary.

Armus laughed at Kanis. "Don't worry about it, we'll be heading up the mountain soon and we have lots of food up there! Go on, take all you want."

She held out a small leather pouch filled to the top with the dried berries, grinning at the girl.

"Besides, if you're hungry you'll never make it all the way," she added. "Lesson one: take food when you can get it, because you never know when your next meal will be."

Aras's eyes grew wide, and she nodded eagerly, committing the lesson to memory as she reached forward to take some of the berries. "Thank you!" she said as she popped one into her mouth.

Ruran was getting tired of looking into those eyes. He was growing to hate them. Maybe one day he would try to slice them out. He was hating this man even more now. He would found a way to hurt this man one way or another!

Kanis flushed and nods, "Yes ma'am...sorry." she reached over and took a few berries. "Thank you." She nibbled on a berry and watched her brother and Corrah.

Corrah didn't move a muscle as he stared at Ruran, though he could see from Ruran's expression that he was growing more and more angry. Any time now he would try something physical ... biting, kicking, hitting, pinching ... pissing ... something.

"Armus," he said softly, not taking his eyes off of Ruran, holding one hand out, palm up, fingers open.

Armus looked up and saw how Corrah was standing, and she handed the bag to Kanis and Aras to hold.

"Here, take this for a minute," she told them; and then she headed out to the trees to look for what she knew Corrah wanted. It didn't take her long to find a fallen branch about as thick as a man's leg, and she brought it over to Corrah, setting it in his hand and stepping back, her face as serious as it had ever been.

"Something for all of you to remember," Corrah said in a low tone, still staring into Ruran's eyes - and then he lifted the thick branch slightly and curled his fingers around it. The muscles of his arm bulged slightly - but only slightly - as he tightened his grip.

At first, nothing happened - at least, nothing visible. But the fibers of the wood were being compressed with a pressure that it could not withstand, and within a matter of seconds it shattered, splinters flying in all directions. Some of them landed against Corrah's face, but he didn't even flinch, still staring at Ruran.

"A warning," he said quietly, seriously, "for if you're considering trying anything stupid."
