The Principal coughed and adjusted his tie. "Well, you can't really go to Makai, as you're still alive...you'd kind of ignite. And then die. So the problem would be sort of...uh...temporary, really." He began to pace around the room. "But you can go to the Shadow Aether...which is where will be going...right about..." He checked his watch and tapped it to make sure it was working properly. "Now."
Suddenly, the entire office gave a sudden lurch. The curtains above the windows rolled down, blocking out the light. "Now girls, since we're leaving the Material World, I'm going to have to switch to my true form...don't be scared..."

Smoke began to billow from beneith the principal's trousers, covering his form. Strobe lights began to flicker from the ceiling. "Ooo...here I go! Watch out, girls! I'm awfully spooky!" The principal began to roar and scream, making terrible beastal noises from behind his certain of smoke.

When all of the smoke had faded, the principal was standing there, wearing a red suit instead of a gray one. A pair of teeny-tiny horns had grow out of his forehead. Other than that, he looked exactly the same. He adjusted his tie. "I...hope that wasn't too much for you young ladies."

The principal sighed. "Kids today..." He walked over to an old-timey sounding horn and spoke into the end. "Please send in the kids' companions...we're here." He paced back to the girls. "As the Defenders of Makai, you will each receive a demon companion...this companion will take the form of a small, cute pet to hopefully avoid arousing any suspicion. When you have to fight, the companion will turn into a powerful weapon, imbuing you with special powers to fight the yokai!"
