Those blue pools turned to Blaze again. Her face wasn't happy now to see the young elf so upset and taken aback. "Are you an idiot or just stupid? If it was anything other then an elf it wouldn't hear your send now would it?" She took a few steps closer to the girl and sent softly to her. **I'm sorry that fool hurt you like he did.** Her face softened and she smiled again to the girl. **We are various elves from many tribes. You will not be harmed and we will send for the other Wolf Rider right away. Please calm your bond before mine reacts to it as well. Should they fight yours will lose but Savith** Her eyes glanced to the wobbly flying elf **will kill my bond should he attack. You wouldn't want me to lose my friend just as none of us want you to lose yours. ** The gentle smile remained as she slowly moved closer even with the growling bond wolf. She had never been fearful of animals and knew the pain of many animals bites but she stopped just a few feet short of snapping distance.

Dewpaw scratched Morningtail behind the ears as she watched the group of elves, her eyes more on Dancer than anyone, but sometimes moving to Blaze as Dancer yelled at him. The send this time was warm and calm in her head. She glanced at Savith as Dancer did, deciding the elves were safe.
*I don't want to fight.* she simply sent, openly, *Morningtail doesn't either. I'm sorry for causing trouble...* While an open send, it was addressed mainly to Dancer. Morningtail sat on his haunches, no longer growling, but not completely relaxed. Dewpaw stepped forward, infront of Morningtail, "What elf are you?" she asked Dancer, curious about the elf so similar to her tribe but so different.

Llune is, at first, blissfully ignorant of anything that's going on. She's selected the necessary leaves and is stripping them into pieces of equal width and sorting them into different lengths. She's already "thrown together" a couple of small, ladle-like baskets when Dancer sends to the new elf. Llune's head snaps up, the basket paused, mid-weave while she looks about trying to catch up with what's going on.
And then Blaze sends, and she flinches. Yes, she's in better shape than Savith but still - INSIDE voice, please! All the same, she doesn't mention it to him, since Dancer's reprimand is plenty enough.
Llune doesn't stand, doesn't make a fuss. She just opens her mind gently to any and all, sharing a kind vibe. She's not one to get involved, oh no. Not gonna jump in there and try to be a hero. Not Llune, goodness no. She's just trying to calm the vibe a bit. Of course, she's got very little experience with hunters other than her son Savith, so who knows how this will go over, but all the same Llune's just sending out a kind smile for all to see (mentally). With any luck the idea of blacksending will be forgotten in the wash of mommy-sweet-sunshine-happiness she's spreading around the cove.

Dancer smiled lightly and exhaled as everyone calmed down a bit. "I am a Catelf. I come from the great evergreen. I don't really recall how Fire Bright and I made it through the great cabalism but here we are." The quiet laughter flowed easily from her. Dancer was young for an elf but it seemed that DewPaw was even younger then her. Hooray she wasn't the baby anymore and that made her chuckle more. "That is Fire Bright." A slender arm lifted her hand to point at the watchful stripped cat. "You think I am odd you should know Crosscurrent. He lives in the vast deep." The pointing hand now moved to the direction of the sea. Turning her head to Savith she asked him, "Would you call the Huntress back? I am sure it would put our new friend more at ease." Those eyes quickly slit in agrivation and glared at Blaze again as she shook her head slowly. This male was trouble in her book.

"The vast deep? Elves out there?" Dewpaw muttered, more to herself than the others, staring at the sea for a moment. Her mind was so focused on this that she did not register at first what Dancer said to Savith, but her eyes quickly returned to glaring at Dancer when she did, "I don't need to be treated as a pup. I'm no cub." She crossed her arms indignately, angered by the idea of being treating as a yelp and little more. In her eyes, she was strong and did not need to be comforted or 'put at ease'. "I survived to."
This flare of anger was unusual for Dewpaw, a usually quiet elfling. The outburst was a combination of enduring and surviving. Even though the elfling did not believe it, her recent ordeals were too much for her to bare, and they were taking their toll. Dewpaw tried to stand tall, but stumbled slightly, beginning to feel light-headed.

Savith glances at Blaze, offering a private wordless, mental pat on the shoulder about the harsh send. It's something like an apology for snapping, and yet, the headache persists. He was starting to turn, mind taking solace in Llune's Mommy Send, when Dancer asks him about Starsong. The glider smirks and glances at Dewpaw.
"I'm certain a howl would be theraputic for both," he states, then turns and starts on his way back toward the cove.

Dancer never lost her smile. Even with the tongue lashing. She knew how wandering took it's toll on her and Fire Bright. She understood the need to remain strong and all of them wanting to appear pillers of strength. Her voice came slow and calmly, "I wasn't trying to make you feel like a cub. I was just trying to give you the time you might need to relax bit is all." She saw the girl stumble and look dizzy. If DewPaw were to go down Dancer was close enough to catch her but till then she did not move. "We all need the comfort of a friendly face and a soft word. Except maybe him." Eyes darting to Blaze then back to DewPaw again. "We all have scars for what we have been through but together as a new tribe, group or whatever you want to call it we will all heal and become stronger. There is no need for everyone here to be a rock. Tears are part of healing as well and fear let's us know we are still alive." A slow sigh escaped her lips and Dancer motioned to the soft sand and large rocks around the pool. "Come sit a while, have a bite to eat and something to drink then you can call the Huntress yourself. I am sure it would fill her heart with joy to hear it."

Dewpaw stepped back in an attempt to hide how dizzy she was. She had cried a lot the night everything happened and she had cried since then. But she swore not to cry anymore. She told herself she would be strong and would no longer cry over the past. She had howled, for hours she howled. Until her voice left her in the night. And then she had left, unable to be with so many dead, elves she knew now gone.
In a rushing torrent the memories came back and she stumbled, this time to her knees. Whether from the memories or dizziness she didn't know. "But I am a cub..." was all she managed to choke out. Fatigue and warriness had caught up with her, and Dancer was so calming. So warm and kind, Dewpaw could not maintain a wall in her presence, she felt no need to. Dancer's words soothed Dewpaw, taking away any reason she had to act strong.

Savith might be a cold-hearted Chosen, but he's not a total p***k. As Dew drops to her knees and chokes out a few words, the glider stopped and looked quickly at the cub. Worry sprung into his moss-green eyes instantly, but he didn't move closer. Dancer was the nearer of the two, after all.

Dancer saw the frail girl go down and instantly was at her side. "It's ok. You are safe." She repeated this softly as she held DewPaw for a little while to see if sleep would soon find her. As she spoke softly she looked up at Savith and smiled softly to him. Her eyes spoke her joy and sorrow for the new arival but her voice was steady and calm. She knew well the heartache this girl was feeling as they all did. It made her happy to see a softer side of him as well. She loved the softer side of everyone.

Dewpaw did not speak. Instead she burrowed into the fabric of Dancer's clothes, seeking more warmth and comfort deeper in the elfess' arms. She had cried, but never with another besides Morningtail. She had found no one to cry with until now. She did not see Savith's reaction, only repsonded as a child would to its mother, hiding in Dancer's arms and crying herself to sleep.
Morningtail padded over, resting next to Dewpaw, but not intruding on the two elves.

Savith watched as Dancer mothered the cubling to sleep before approaching. He lowered himself to a knee, kneeling by them, and offered his arms. "I'll take her," he murmured softly to Dancer with all the whispered grace of a father to a mother over a child that has finally fallen asleep after a long hard cry.

Dancer handed the girl over slowly and carefuly. The care a parent takes with a child as well with just a little nod. Looking at the bond she watched to see it didn't react poorly at Savith taking DewPaw.

Savith was gentle with the sleeping wolfrider, standing slowly and shifting her with care up to his chest. An arm under her rump, the other holding her neck to his shoulder. If she stirred, he murmured a song beneath his breath, making his way back to the pool's edge. Finding that soft shady spot he'd laid his mother down in, he again uses it, and using his gift and his arms, he worked to gingerly lay down the small elf, singing a soft lullabye to her all the while. His voice is pleasant and deep, and the melody, dispite its softness, clear and soothing.

Morningtail merely followed the exchange with his eyes before standing and walking to Savith's side. He trusted the elves because his bond did, but he would not leave Dewpaw.
Dewpaw's eyes opened slightly when she was moved, she blinked through the tears at teh two figures above her. Her voice was a whisper, only loud enough for the three of them to hear, "mother, father." Then she was lost to sleep again.
((Had to complete the moment! Mommy and daddy figures. 3nodding ))
