"Mizu. He has red eyes like me and is probably the nicest demonic you'll ever meet." she sighed. "He has a notch like me and also has impaired flying ability because of a damaged wing. Like me...." she looked down. "Even though we went through the same thing, he is different. He isn't so anti-social as me, and well let's just say if you try to hurt me, make me feel threatened, or annoy me..., he knows what sets me off, he'll... well..." She laughed a bit. "He'll... get on your case."

Taelence sighed happily and smiled.
Oh yes, she thought. I could listen to her for hours. I wonder if I can get her to sing one day?
"He sounds like the most wonderful brother ever," she said. "You're very lucky."
In that moment Taelence vowed to look out for this Mizu.
It'd make her happy if I could find him. Heck it would make them both happy, I expect. I wonder where he is now?
She hesitated for a moment and then blundered on with a question that had popped into her head.
"Why do you think that is?" she asked. "That he's so different from you yet you say you both went through the same thing? What was different, that he's not....." she floundered for a moment and then said delicately: "As damaged as you claim to be?"

"He's worse actually. Mizu just doesn't like to show it. Sometimes we talk about. Really, he's more damaged than I am... He took most of the hits. His own and the ones directed at me..." She stared into space. "I love him and miss him." Kaze sighed.
With her claw she wrote his name in the dirt.

A fresh wave of sadness crashed over Taelence. She shuffled her paws.
I should have expected that Kaze has been hit, she thought. And I did. Sort of. Why would anyone do this to someone? How cruel can you be?
The answer was apparently very cruel. Kaze was living proof of that.
"I'm not surprised you miss him. You two seem terribly close," she said, kindly. "Would....you like me to help you look for him?" she paused. "I've heard, quite recently actually, of an unusual Demonic has been seen around here. I didn't pay attention because I didn't think it might be important, but maybe I was wrong..."

She could tell what Tael was thinking by the look on her face. "It wasn't only hitting... I... don't want to talk about it..."
Kaze looked at Taelence. "Sure."

Taelence nodded, understanding completely. She pointed.
"Some where in the deeper part of the forest. That's where they said they saw this mysterious fox," she said, as she started walking.
In a way, Taelence had accomplished what she'd set out to do. Even if Kaze didn't trust her yet, she didn't seem to mind Tael's company as much as she used to. And if that was all Taelence would get, well she was pleased no matter what.
Another chapter was opening up. Mizu had been gone for too long and it was time to find him. Time to give Kaze just a little happiness.
"Don't worry Kaze," she said, smiling. "We'll find him."
"No matter what!"
