What part of post order did I not make clear?
If you have made two posts between two of Mango's posts, your second post never happened.
(Ebag, you're fine, talking is a free action--but please don't do that again, it makes tracking post order difficult.)

Four tentacle-like appendages--pale white, stretchy, and smooth--shot out of the portal, each one reaching out for a target: Deitric, Valkyarc, Draug, and Dzan. They were specifically targeting people who were either prone or near the portal.
They would wrap around their targets and, with surprising force, yank them back through the portal. If the target had their wits about them, they might try to dodge. We'll see.

He felt his collar grasped as she walked up, putting away his gun and cuffs to try to present a peaceful posture to her. He was wet, but nonetheless, standing there, breathing, hoping she could see the kindness in his eyes.
But then he is thrown through the air. Quickly, he uses his martial arts reflexes to move his body further downward so his hands can at least catch the ground, then tumbles to a stop near the portal, those white things coming out and seeming to attack the people in this room. With his feet outstretched, he attempts to knock the white things over.
"Damn it," he says, getting back to his feet quickly. And there he was, walking back toward the goddess.
"Listen to me! Genevar..." Catching his breath, trying to speak between his words.

Draug was grabbed before he could hit the b***h though, grabbed by a tentacle of some sort that really ******** annoyed him.
"God damn mother ******** was not a good day for Draug. He was being denied his greatest drug and the chance to have the rush of combat was the only thing keeping him from shooting up.
Dragged back through the portal he had his chair ready to swing.

((Vahn has logged off for now.))
opaj scrambled for the portal, sheathing his katana again. "Gaby, this way! I've got an idea!" With that, he jumped through back to the Palace Sewers.

Hey, who's that grabbin' at him?
Oh, some sort of phantom hand.. thing.
Deitric was getting dragged, but he wasn't going to leave without a struggle. Slamming one tomahawk home to try and catch some purchase on the ground, his other came free in his right hand, lashing down at the hand that had grabbed a hold of him. Hopefully, he was moving slow enough to let him chop at the appendage. He was strong, his weapon was sharp, but his position wasn't the best - but with any luck, it'd only take one or two chops, and he'd get free before being forced back through the portal.
"Let go, you sonuvabitch!"
But it probably wasn't going to work, at this rate. With any luck, he'd be half-way through the portal before he got free. Oh well.

Gaby sat up when some tentacles came through the portal and grabbed Dzan and some of the other people who had shown up. She had to act fast. She uncorked the barrell and, with the water she brought out, sliced through the tentacle that was reaching for Valkyarc.
She did not know if it would work when the Unity field was still in effect, but she did not have time to find out. she followed Opaj back to the palace sewers.

"Genevar...?"
It was a name she hadn't heard in a while. The GodQueen turned to Chen, folded her arms and waited.

The tentacles withdrew, unharmed--it seemed that they, too, were protected by the Unity Field.

He nods, letting his breath calm as he spoke.
"If we have gone when you find this, read my words and know them well: We Are Still Here. Protect the Unity Field. Protect my dear Azhralani. For if She should fall, so shall we, and Frostschild will be lost forever. Quote, Genevar."
Finally with it subsided, he brings his right hand to his chest.
"She sits there at her room in Happy Restings, waiting to be saved. Your people are not dead. I can feel them. You can feel them. They are all still here, yet somehow they're locked away in their spiritual form. I am here to help. I am here to protect you."
He falls onto his right knee, bowing his head. It was now or never. Let's see if his diplomacy worked.

Hearing his words, a small tear formed at the corner of the GodQueen's eye.
"Yes. You are right. I still feel the spirits of my people. They're here...calling out to me, begging me to free them." She hung her head. "Yet here I sit, helpless. Tell me, friend, do you know who did this to my people?"
