Gaby followed Opaj, running as fast as she could. Now that she had only a small amount of water left in her wooden barrell, she was afraid to use it, lest she run out. She would have to keep her eye out for sewer water as she ran for her life.

Angel was behind opaj and Gaby, wounded, but still keeping up with them. She kept glancing behind her to make sure the man wasn't there to shoot at them.

Lieutenant Dan? Who the hell was Lieutenant Dan?
Oh, wait.....
Was he talking about Forest Gump? Or was he a real person? Looking into Spooky's eyes, the man looked strung out, his pupils dilated. He was having a PTS attack. Colin had a few of those a week before getting air-dropped into this ******** that was Frostchild, and knew they could last a while. Either way, Colin would have to roll with it, or he might get shot, too.
Let's see. Gump's Lt. Dan was in Vietnam, so just use Vietcong and gooks in his orders.
The gooks went to the left.
While moving the crazed mass of GUN towards the fleeing men, the haze of white came back into sight, Colin lifting his MP5 to let off a few more shots from his hip.
taptaptap. taptaptap.
The colors were starting to separate once more, shapes becoming clearer and more bold against the s**t-brown that was his view.

Spooky continued getting pulled along, moving a bit more steadily on his own but he still needed to be guided. Hopefully this would end sooner rather than later; yet, no one was betting on it. The soldier suddenly noticed something ahead in the mass of blinding light that didn't seem bothered at all, instead it happily was running after the thing too. Spooky was curious though as to why they were heading into what he believed was a cloud of napalm. That, you know, continued to seemingly evade their reach, moving away from them just as quickly as they moved towards it.
"VC, Dan!"
The soldier replied, his 10mm pistol looked like a pretty tempting to take right now. So, Colin should probably grab it and kill the zombie from the large weapon as they ran along.

Copy!
And so Colin did, letting go of Spooky for the GUN at his hip. Pulling the pistol free, Colin would aim down the iron sight and, with a few squeezes, fired at the back of the zombie's head.
Not that he knew it was a zombie, but a moving head was a moving head.
Continuing towards the fleeing group, the haze would clear even more.

"Tch!" opaj turned another corner, secretly thanking the thing that was chasing them for taking most of the fire.
"Gaby, if I fire a water blade, can you bend it around the corner?" he asked.
Meanwhile, the creature behind them slowed down, torn between two groups of flesh in opposite directions. The random gunfire didn't seem to bother it too much.
Until the two rounds speedhacked into the back of its head. It leaned forward, paused for a moment, two massive dents in the metal skull. Turning to face Colin, it charged again, doing little in terms of defensive action.

"yeah," Gaby answered. "What are we trying to do?"
She glanced back at the thing that was chasing them and wondered how to get rid of it if it wasn't affected by random gunshots.

"I have an attack against the undead, but I think it's taking most of the gunfire for us." Angel moved behind the two, looking back to where the creature had come, waiting to see what attack opaj had in mind. "I just don't know if it is exactly an undead. I've never seen one that looks metallic."

The 10mm slugs didn't seem to phase the thing that bad, which if Spooky had been alright in the head, would have surprised the s**t out of him. Instead of freaking out, he raised the rifle and got angry. Spooky shouldered the rifle and looked the EOTech (to him, iron sights) and held down the trigger as he let out a roar of frustration.
GUN ANGRY!
He walked along firing a constant flow of three round bursts into the VC running towards them. The 5.56 ammo could go through armor plating like paper, a metal zombie was going to feel the full force of several decades of refined weaponry. This was the peak of modern firearms, and he was intent upon killing the Gook dead.

Reaching over, Colin would switch his MP5 to automatic fire and, holding it before him, aimed with both pistol and machine, releasing a volley of slugs towards the zombie, aiming for its chest.
The haze was almost gone, and so was his ammo.

The zombie flew to pieces, the legs running a few steps forward even after the rest of the body was blown off. The legs stopped dead in their tracks, falling at Spooky's feet.
"Bend it," opaj said, stopping just down the way and around the corner from their opponents. He dipped his katana into a small canal that ran along the wall. "Sui-Sashi!" A cut opened up in his arm, and he launched a wide blade of water back the way he came, hoping that Gaby would get it and have it curve around the corner at Spooky and Colin.
The blade was at neck-height.
"I'd rather fight whatever that thing was then two gun-toting maniacs," he muttered afterwards.

The water Opaj threw caught Gaby by surprise, but she managed to catch it and direct it towards Colin and Spooky. The water dropped onto the two men, soaking them and all of their weapons.

There wasn't a whole lot Angel could do, except keep watch. She did bend down, tearing the hem of the dress. The goddesses dress wasn't looking so great anymore. A long piece of the dress came free, and Angel used that piece to wrap it around the wound on her arm. Her teeth were clenched to one side of the fabric while using her good arm to help tie a not, hissing between her teeth as she tightened it around the wound, but at least it would control the bleeding by cutting off most of the circulation.
Her ears twitched, hearing opaj. She had thought the same thing, reason why she hadn't used any attack on the zombie thing. Her ears stayed raised upright to listen to the men around the corner, hoping the attack would work.

From Palace Sewers
Coming through the hole in the wall that lead to the portal room, Mr. Black entered the sewers with a serious lack of enthusiasm. Trudging through liquid waste wasn't really the type of thing he'd imagined he'd be doing when he woke up this morning... though considering the alternatives, it was better than staying behind in the exploding room.
With Lt. Eileen Patterson unconscious and slung over his right shoulder, James took a turn in the pipe and begun trudging at as fast a pace as he could comfortably manage while carrying another person. The other two members of his group had come down this way, and even now the echoing sound of gunfire coming from further in should help in locating them.
He was pretty far behind, but if they were caught up in a zombie mess and/or a gunfight, gaining ground shouldn't have been that hard.
