"Alright then" he said quietly.

Oh yeah, his head hurt. And it just wasn't from his psionics this time.

Akechi lowered his weapon as the walker crashed farther into the distance with the complement of people attacking it.

"Bryant's Expedition, stand the ******** down", he stated with as much force and commanding power as he could muster.

"This is NOT a trip to the North Pole to see penguins and s**t anymore. This is serious. Seperate, and you are on your own. We are in no position to do anything rash until we regrouped and help the wounded."

You know, once presumably, everything had calmed somewhat, and maybe when somebody listened to the team's security head, that angry and extremely well-built and pissed off dirty blonde male.

Akechi'll then head over to Bryant and Sam.

"Mr. Bryant? No offense, but I think we aren't equipped enough ("or organized", he added in an undertone)) to deal with whatever the hell is in Frostchild. However, you paid me, so I'm staying here till the end. What do you want to do?"

Jacknife started moving towards the robot, though it was hard to see through all the dust and stuff. It was a giant robot though, so it shouldn't be too hard. He slipped the shotgun out of the holster and cracked the barrel open a bit, making sure there were shells loaded.

Yup.

If he got close enough to the bot to score a hit with the shotgun, it would probably do some damage. That hit to the knee seemed to be the most effective attack so far, so he would go for that eventually.

First he had to get into position. He didn't want to hit the two hanging off the side of the robot so he would have to circle around and see if he could get a clearer shot. It was just a waiting game now.

He stood prepared to toss any rubble that came in his direction out of the way as he waited for the robot to move into a better position.

As the building crumbled around the robot, as it drug its way through the building, causing a lot of collateral damage. Mozz spied a particularly large chunk of the building that had stayed together in the robots wake. He was about to summon some mold to bash it into the robot, when he saw the two swordsmen who had implanted themselves in it.

“Great, so much for smashing with them gumming up everything” Mozz thought out loud from atop the building. “Wait…gumming….”

Mozz placed his hand on the roof of the building, the mold spreading across it swiftly as it made a B-line for the robot. As it made its way to and around the robot, Mozz would try something a bit, different then before. He couldn’t trip the robot, but perhaps he could angle his mold to gum up the insides of it.

It would be hard, more so if the swordsmen thought it was an attack. Hopefully they’d be too busy holding on, to fight the assistance Mozz was about to give them.

The next time a sword exits one of the robots wound, Mozz’s mold would strike and plunge a tendril into the robot hopefully finding circuits and gears to gum up.

As Athan pushed further down, he found little resistance--it seemed that the walker was hollow inside. However, the forces gripped tighter around the blade, and refused to let it go.

Seeing danger in the persistence of Chen, the walker changed tact. Instead of continuing back in a straight line, it turned its side to him as he pulled out the D.Eagle. Changing momentum with surprising force, it charged him sideways--with the side that Allen was hanging from.

User ImageWell, to catch up with Bryant, he'd be a good distance from Sam, but that didn't stop Bryant from calling back as he followed the robot and it's passengers at a safe distance.

"No. We're not. But that doesn't stop it from being fun anyways. Why in the hell do you think I was willing to pay so much, boy?" He grinned and waved for him to follow or not as he choose.

"Live by the sword, die by the sword. Either way I'll get my answers." Not much of a saying, considering the circumstances, but appropriate in a morbid fashion.

Sam grimaced slightly at the blood, but knelt down and dug around for a lighter in her purse, and lit the edge of the tweezers on fire for a moment until satisfied it was as sanitized as she could make it in these conditions.

"This is going to hurt"

And then the tweezers went in, digging around a little for the shrapnel, before pulling it out with a quick jerk. She tossed it into a napkin, and then into the purse for keeping, before taking a sani cloth to the wounds, pressing down to keep it from bleeding too much.

"Any cloth to tie it down for a bit, or am I going to have to dig around some more?"

She dug around again with one hand and pulled out a small bottle, handing it to Kael, whether he was old enough for not. She wasn't completely certain. " Just like a Browning gun, straight to the point, but it'll still knock what ails you out." It was Bourbon.

This robot was smart. But hopefully the power of the human mind + the power of a psychic will be enough to outthink and out clever this walking super computer.

"Huah!"

Chen leaps to the left, going toward its back side, which in short was the side opposite of Athan. As he dives, he uses the moment to aim specifically for another one of its legs, going for a knee, and fires. The psychic-powered revolver bullet spins its way through the air, to attempt to rip through one of the knees....and also aim for another, as the bullet would continue to pierce through until it eventually can hit a wall.

As for Chen, his dive will send him sliding across the floor on his back, keeping faced with the robot as his left hand comes forward, moving it in a circle to gather more mental energy into physical form, having the invisible power follow the motion of his hands. He was doing this just in case he was attacked in any way, to give him more of a defense to deal with any following attacks.

If not, he will aim his gun as he stands back to his feet, and concentrate on aiming again.

"The bigger they are," Chen says with a cocky grin. "The harder they fall."

Seeing as Gambion was off to the side of Chen, and the robot was running towards him, that gave Gambion a pretty good shot at the robot, as long as the robot didn't suddenly decide to take him out. He really couldn't help Chen get out of the way, but perhaps what he was about to do would throw the bot off a bit.

BLAM!

Both barrels of the shotgun fired, sending bullets into the closest knee of the walker. Hopefully the force of the shot would bust it up. Gambion figured there would be a pretty good chance of that since he had seen the other guy's pistols take out a knee. A shotgun had plenty more force than a pistol.

Even if the force didn't shatter the knee, hopefully some of the bullets would jam in the joint at least and screw it up.

Nothing. No screams, no hollow ringing, just...silence and a strong grip. Sure, Athan could have stood up and tried to rip his sword free, but then the walker could just let go suddenly and send Athan flying off the back of the robot.

So now all Athan could do was just lay flat on his stomach, holding to his sword. He couldn't let go if he wanted to now, losing his sword wasn't much of an option and falling off of the walker was a horrible alternative.

So he went back to Plan A, and started pulling at the robot's exterior where his sword had entered. The fingers of his right hand were composed of forgotten matter, so they wouldn't 'bleed' in a normal sense as they dug into sharp metal, and he'd feel pain, but at least the damage wouldn't be permanent.

And, with his black sword glowing brightly inside the robot, Allen did something he had never tried before. Rather than releasing the energy in a slash, he just released all the energy out, resulting in explosive force. The energy would tear through the inside of the robot, and being soul energy externalized, it would damage both any physical and spiritual components inside the robot.

Meanwhile, he would go back to hanging on with one hand and flip himself up on top of the robot as it started moving sideways. This would put him next to Athan, and in response there, he did the logical thing. He dematerialized his katana, rematerialized it in his hand, and jammed it back downwards into the robot again. Just to manage to hold on.

"This things reminds me way too much of the possessed robots in Carter, goddammit!"

Maybe this twister wasn't a good idea. Aiolos thought to himself. He heard the bangs and clangs inside the warehouse over his flute music. There were people on his team in there after all. He almost took out Gambion with his last attack. The song quickly died off. He kept walking though. Someone had to be there to watch their back. Aiolos sighed. Twister for another time, he supposed. He was still fifty feet away from the battle before he took cover behind a building.

The ten foot gunpod shifted, stabilizers extending, barrel telescoping outwards. And while HoshiTe held it steady, the mecha girl's targeting visor lined up what would be a long distance, long burst of gunfire. Then the order of stand down was called out.

"Standing down." There was disappointment in the response, until Bryant made his own wishes known. Then the grin returned, and a hail of long distance gunfire streaked its way precisely towards the machine with a mighty, ripping retort. Upon the targeting visor, a display of each bullet's path and likely concerns were displayed, with the target points being one of the places on the walker that was currently not occupied. The predicted gunfire arch would hit that section perfectly while avoiding friendlies and building parts.

And the tweezer.

The moaning/growling started up fast, and kept up a low complaint, holding on to keep from outright screaming at the hot thing jammed into his leg, or squirming. He did stay squirm a little, but the leg wouldn't be jumping and accidentally jamming the tweezers into something it shouldn't go into on her. When it came out, he took one deep breath and spat out the cloth on the ******** gasped, and snatched the bourbon up quickly, taking a good, long swig... and on... and finally coughed, taking the stuff away from his mouth. Putting it down he continued gasping and cursing under his breath, rolling onto his back and reaching to a pouch hanging off his belt to his left side.

The sound of a zipper was followed by half a moment's feeling around inside of the pouch, and then he'd pull out a roll of bandages and hand them to Sam with a grateful nod.

...as soon as she took them, he'd grab up the bourbon again.

She did that promptly, smiling as he drank. It would numb the pain, but he should be grateful she hadn't poured it over the wound. Then again, Joseph would probably kill her for wasting good bourbon in such a fashion. She quickly wrapped the bandage around his leg and tied it off, not so circulation would be cut, but so that blood flow wouldn't be quite so bad.

"Sorry I'm not a healer, but I think I do passable as a battle field medic." she says, as she put the tweezers away, and tossed the sani nap into the purse, to be disposed of later.

The robot exploded!!!!!

Not really. Well, not quite. It took severe damage to two more legs, crippling its entire left side. And with the sudden burst of energy filling its internal hull, it's AI started to go on the fritz. Final operation commands were entered.

PHOONK. PHOONK. PHOONK.

The upper turret released three rockets in quick succession, firing them straight into the air. They easily tore through the tin roof, and lost momentum only sixty feet in the air.

Any moment now, they would land back inside the warehouse, filling the enclosed space with flame and shrapnel.

As the shots from HoshiTe's gunpod tore into its side, the AI shut down. Inside, scratching and scurrying could be heard, then... silence.
