They do not have to be feline! Currently, non-felines cannot hold high ranks (Jua, Mwezi, and the like), but they can be any other rank!

Oh and I was talking to Poi about this too, last night Troof. XD;;
But just in case, might want to put Nima as 'dormant' for now. He has a biiiiiiit of plot to get through before he starts actively looking for the pride to join up LOL
One part of which involved getting attacked by some demons 8D *cough*
